It was fine as it goes, the staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable.
The back of the door to the en-suite was shocking! It needs replacing due the truly awful damp and wet damage to the bottom of the door. Breakfast was disappointing because to a dietary issue there was not an appropriate bread option.
The hotel was central to the many bars, restaurants and shops. The room was excellent. Will definitely return and refer my friends and family to visit to.
Having been very impressed with a stay at Indigo Durham this was a huge disappointment. Staff were dour (walking past reception got no response / courtesy ) and restaurant service was poor. Cafatiere at breakfast was almost colourless (suspect water but no coffee had been added) and waited 10 minutes for a table to be prepared. Apparently late staff sickness was blamed but an absent manager meant no action. Overall our stay represented terrible value for money and we will not return to this Indigo. Shame.
Real quality feel, decor and soft furnishings.
Check-in, surly staff and bathroom. Check-in took for ever (one person long queue) and staff very unhelpful regarding booking error. I had mistakenly booked four rooms instead of three, two for the same person it was a clear error but they basically said suck it up. Water pressure abysmal in shower.
Location, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, comfortable
Originally built in the 1800s as one of the city’s very first power stations, a building that lit the path for Glasgow’s development, the Hotel Indigo® Glasgow hotel today puts you close to a new kind of buzz—local cuisine, world-class shopping, museums, historic theatres and sporting events. Our hotel’s design mixes Victorian architecture, high ceilings, and original brown brick with modern comfort. Murals by local artists line the walls, while our restaurant serves local dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It’s a great place to chat over a brew and look for the famous local Glaswegians depicted in the mural above diners’ heads.
