Cons: I'm not sure about the other rooms, especially the most expensive ones, but my Deluxe Double was outdated. The flush toilet was not working properly even after they sent a technician to check the problem (it worked well for a few hours after his visit). There was also some strange smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom, besides, the shower door was high and very narrow...good luck trying to leave the bath cubicle after a shower. My last complaint is about the TV in the room. There was no signal on my second day in the hotel, luckily, I had my laptop with me and could watch some Netflix.

Cons: The hotel was unwelcoming and assigned the rooms in different floors although the rooms had the same booking reference and a request was sent from four months ago, the manager was not polite and unprofessional. Housekeeping entered the room with no permission while we were in the room checked the bar contents and left with no satisfying explanation. On the day of departure we called the reception and confirmed a van booking but when we left they denied that we have previously booked a van luckily we found a note left on the table from the other employee confirming the booking he rudely apologized and we left completely unhappy and unsatisfied with the service and the experience overall. Would not recommend the hotel for anyone there is plenty of five star hotels nearby and they may be worth the money you paid.

The neighborhood is fantastic, with plenty of places to eat and drink in any direction. Nearby Placa del Sol is a great spot for soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying delicious and cheap drinks and food.

Pros: I liked the single room with private toilet as it catered my needs. The room was quiet since it was towards the courtyard. The breakfast was good. Friendly staff. For my stay the location was nice - I could get where ever I wanted in 30-60min walk. Not only towards city but also to the hills where e.g. Park Güell is. AC was a lifesaver.

Pros: I liked the single room with private toilet as it catered my needs. The room was quiet since it was towards the courtyard. The breakfast was good. Friendly staff. For my stay the location was nice - I could get where ever I wanted in 30-60min walk. Not only towards city but also to the hills where e.g. Park Güell is. AC was a lifesaver.
Cons: Maybe a fridge in the room would be nice to cool down drinks since it gets really warm in summer.

Pros: The staff is really cool and sociable. Every time I was going out they were interest where was I going or after a long day they wanted to know how my day went. I guess this is why I stayed longer! Also I liked the rooms where there is in each bed a light, a little table, an electric plug and a curtain to create some intimacy. I also really liked the air conditioning in the rooms and the terrasse in the middle of the hostel where you can smoke and drink late at night ;) So far is the best hostel I went to!

Cons: One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the free airport shuttle. When I booked, i was asked if I wanted the shuttle, i said yes. But no information was sent to me about it, and there is no one at the hotel desk. I called the office number when I arrived, but it was after hours apparently. No one answered. Additionally, the room was not as nice as the photos, although perfectly acceptable. The bathroom was tiny! Shower hard to figure out. Tea bags but no instant coffee packets. Impossible to fill the teakettle in the bathroom sink.

Cons: No employee present on site first half of our stay, no closet and nowhere to hang or deploy the clothes, no where to put suitcases except in the locker room in the basement, the room we were given first 4-5 days is so tiny that not even 1 person could fit confortably in it, tv set not connected to any input and remained so despite promises to fix the problem, safety box inside the room difficult to manipulate and easily stuck with alarm going on and on with noone to help despite our repeated calls to the emergency number 33, floor and washroom cleaning was not or rarely done only towels were changed and bed done, only one elevator available and only for the luggage (veery slow) and it was out of order anyway except the very last day where they finally decided to fix it, no refrigerator available in the room nor in the whole facility, we saw one 2 cm. insect (probably moth) running to hide inside the mattress, air conditioning is shut down systematically during the day even when temperature outside was reaching 38-40 deg. which makes it impossible to keep chocolate or food in the room. What is good though is the kindness of the stuff when they show up, and the lockers room in the basement. With price above 150 euros per night in a remote small street of Gracia, far away from the center of Barcelona, it is definitely overpriced...

Cons: We stayed 3 nights at this place, the first 2 nights without air condition as it was for some reason turned off and we were unable to make it work. There was only a ceiling fan for those 2 days and nights. Also one day the room was not cleaned at all. We were back and forth with booking.com. Someone works at the site came one night and started the air conditioning and offered us 1 day of refund (we did not ask for it). They ended up refunding 10%. We are upset twice now, once for the air conditioning and room not getting cleaned and second not keeping the promise of a day refund. Interesting way of hospitality. Let's see if booking.com will finally stop playing dead and make this wrong right.

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and pleasantness of the room. Online pictures can sometimes be deceiving but I am pleased to say that the room exceeded my expectations but bear in mind that I really wasn't expecting much. I also liked the fact that the bus 22 dropped us a few steps away from the hotel and it was easy to get to Lesseps and later on I discovered the hotel is very close to Vallcarca on the L3 Metro line. I also have to add that I had my best night's sleep in years in that room (403), probably because it was relatively quiet at night and the window curtains made the room pitch black.

Cons: I booked a twin room bedroom for 2 nights. The room was very different from the pictures advertised. The room was small and there wasn't much space to move around. I went to the reception on the second day to ask for a slightly bigger room (as my father was coming to stay that day) and they exchanged it for a room that was the same size. I realised that some of the rooms on the same floor had a desk and chair, while others (like mine) did not. So basically, I had to sit on the bed the entire time when I was there. I thought I would ignore this on the first night, but really thought they would give a better room for the second night after I politely requested for one. I am extremely disappointed considering that I paid more than £200 for 2 nights. The rooftop pool was a joke too. Too small, too many people, little space; as usual, so much different from the pictures. I will not come back here again, nor would I recommend this to anyone.

Cons: Room in desperate need of repairs. For instance wallpaper bubbling out from wall and border along wall/floor coming off. Overall dingy feel. Room ac did not cool well. Set to a low temp at nite and would never feel cool. Never watched tv put it was placed at a strange location facing the opposite wall from the head of the bed so u could not watch it from bed.
Went to bar and had two drinks each (4 total) and was charged 42 €. Never ate there after bar incident cause I didn't want to get overpriced mediocre food with so many great restaurants around.
Pool looks large in pics but in reality it's very small.
Some of the front desk staff were very nice and others unfriendly and cold.

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and pleasantness of the room. Online pictures can sometimes be deceiving but I am pleased to say that the room exceeded my expectations but bear in mind that I really wasn't expecting much. I also liked the fact that the bus 22 dropped us a few steps away from the hotel and it was easy to get to Lesseps and later on I discovered the hotel is very close to Vallcarca on the L3 Metro line. I also have to add that I had my best night's sleep in years in that room (403), probably because it was relatively quiet at night and the window curtains made the room pitch black.
Cons: The door to the bathroom was a toughened glass that only spanned 9/10ths of the door way, so I felt there was a lack of privacy, in my room, with "twin beds" When you're sharing with someone, an individual using the bathroom might want a bit more privacy.

Think back to your dorm room in college. If you went to a public college. And your parents didn’t pay extra to put you in one of the nice dorms. Bare bones. Mattress is very basic. Room is clean and lots of space. Bathroom clean and hot water was consistent. Fantastic location in a fantastic neighborhood. Something to note is Villa Gracia is mainly a residential area that does not attract the tourists that other parts of Barcelona does. It is about 2 miles from Barcelona’s historical center. Villa Gracia has the coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants reminiscent of hip Brooklyn, but surrounded by a traditional/quaint Spanish neighborhood. Definitely plan on walking around one or two evenings to sit in Placa de Sant Joan, check out a few shops and get a drink at one of the many bar cafes. Mama’s Café, Elephanta (awesome gin and tonic bar with wonderful bartenders), and Polleria Fontana were our favorite spots to eat and drink. Residencia Erasmus was merely a cheap way for us to stay in the heart of the neighborhood of Gracia; it was nothing more and nothing less.

Recommended for students; grown ups my advice is pay more to get a superior room - much better and worth it. Staff were brilliant especially at reception and only too happy to help with queries.

The house cleaners were very friendly. my room had a nice balcony overlooking the street. And there was an elevator. There’s a little coffee machine on the first floor if you’re like me and need coffee before doing anything else, but there are dozens of other cafes, restaurants, and markets within easy reach.

If you’re unlucky as I was then you will hear some guests coming very late in the night and speaking loudly, laughing, watching videos on their smartphones etc. Shower facilities were dirty yet satisfactory for the price you pay. So, the only thing I wanted was just to crush on a bed and spend 7-8 hours there sleeping as a baby because the next day I was driving 700km. What I got: 4-5 hours of permanently interrupted sleep. If you think about saving some budget but sacrificing your sleep - that’s the place for you.

Pros: Internet speed was excellent, nice restrooms. Excellent staff - after coming back to take my luggage for my flight (wayy after checking out), I still had some time so I was able to take a shower and cook myself some dinner.
Cons: The pillow was way too hard; You have to pay extra if you want to leave your luggage after check out; If you want to use locker you need to rent a lock from them (or bring your own).

Cons: Had to specify what exact time to be there so someone could be there to check us in. All rooms were not totally separate as had open parts above all rooms and could hear everything. Location was quite a walk from central. Not many facilities as only 1 toilet for each gender and 1 shower for men and 2 shower for ladies.

Cons: There's no space in the hostel. It's really small. The kitchen is really small. You can listen to any noise from any room. As there are lots of young people partying, probably you'll wake up during the night.

Pros: The kitchen was nice and the vending machine is handy.
Cons: The bedroom wall only goes up 3/4 meaning that it's not an 8 bedroom room it's a 24 bedroom room as you can hear everything in all the other rooms meaning you get little sleep. The bathroom facilities are poor as there is not lock on the door, furthermore there is no space for belongings in the shower. There is no staff upon arrival. The bedroom was the biggest issue having lack of sleep.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Common area separated by an actual wall that keeps out sound/light. People during my stay were quiet and no one snored, so low, thin walls werent an issue!
Cons: BE AWARE: its really one big room with thin walls that dont reach the ceiling. If someone snores or is loud at night, EVERYONE will hear it, see light from halls/other "rooms", etc. Doors close/lock loud and metal lockers in main hall can be loud and also heard. No place to hang or set things in the bathroom. A bit of a walk from the metro and further from old town, beach, etc.

Pros: - good location, very close to the subway. - good equipped kitchen - good system with key cards to open the doors instead of keys - Airconditioning, comfortable sleeping - clean beds that didn't make any sounds - vending machine with plenty of water and snacks, and even a coffee machine. - vouchers for discounts on food and tourist attractions available, just as a city map.
Cons: - Personnel Upon check in the woman didnt speak English and checked us in while She was Talking on the phone. It seemed there was only someone in charge during an hour or so in the morning or for five minutes when someone checks in. - Showers / toilets not a lot of showers, they were full every time. The showers were dirty, a lot of hairs on the ground and there was a very hard water jet. Showering wasn't comfortable. - dorms The dorms were open at the top side, So you could hear ALL the snoring,sneezes and talking in the other rooms and the lights in the other rooms. Even when alone in the dorm in the morning, we couldn't turn on the lights in our dorm as the people still sleeping in the other dorms could be disturbed.
