Pros: The hotel was close to two "Halal Restaurants" 5 Euro to reach them, one is called "Abou Khalil" C/Santalo, 88, Barcelona a Lebanese one owned by a Palestinian guy. and the other one is called "Al-Jaima" C/Valencia, 218,Barcelona owned by his brother. The internet was great as well. We arrived early and the receptionist helped us to put the luggage in the store.

Pros: The hotel was close to two "Halal Restaurants" 5 Euro to reach them, one is called "Abou Khalil" C/Santalo, 88, Barcelona a Lebanese one owned by a Palestinian guy. and the other one is called "Al-Jaima" C/Valencia, 218,Barcelona owned by his brother. The internet was great as well. We arrived early and the receptionist helped us to put the luggage in the store.
Cons: The room needs to be isolated well so we do not hear the wind when blowing. There was no Bidet at the bathroom, I would appreciate if they could add it.

Cons: The decor was a bit weird. The bathtub/shower sill was far too high and was dangerous (we were traveling with an architect and we are convinced that this height does not meet code). In addition, the gym was very poor. They only had a few machines and 2 of them were broken.

Cons: This hotel is far from to be 5 star. The bed in the double room is very narrow and is about 1.40 m ! Thus, two adults sleeping on it risk to fall down at night. The other furniture of the room, which needs to be repaired would be more suitable for a 3 star hotel room. The personnel at the desk with poor english could explain to us how to connect to the hotel WiFi and offered us free bussiness room: two old time snail speed desktops with a queque beside the door. There is also a problem to take a cup of coffee till noon - the only suggestion is to take breakfast twice.

Pros: The Hotel is very cool from a design point. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The pool area is great but don't expect prompt service if you want a drink.
Cons: It felt a little like the hotel was running on the bare minimum, almost like the middle of winter at a tropical resort. The level of facilities at the hotel are very basic. For an upmarket "designer" Hotel they offer very little in room facilities and what they do provide are not worth much. Room service only runs till 21:30 and the food is well below average and not worth eating. Unless Breakfast is included then don't bother. It is 4 euros more expensive than another of the Chains hotels down the road and not as good. The Lounge Room was not open when it was advertised. This is supposed to be the hotel Bar.

Beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. We had a great view from our windows and the view from the 11th floor, where the swimming pool is, was amazing. Though the hotel isn´t very cheap it was worth every penny!

There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

Cons: One of the reasons to chose it was the spa, but it cant be called a spa. 1 Sauna, 1 steam bath and teh pool and jakuzzi were not functional, some dirty stagnant water in the pool and we didn't use the spa after first trial. Also the minibar was nnot filled regularly and the room was not cleaned properly.

Pros: The Hotel was very lovely and well decorated, clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel bar offered free champagne, water, tea and coffee which was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. The staff assisted us in room upgrades, places to eat and what to see around the city. Wifi was included in every room as well as personal AC that worked extremely well. The room also had black out curtains and while being very centrally located ( a few blocks from the Gaudi House and a 2 minute walk to La Rambla) was also very quiet. I would deffinitely stay here again. Great place for couples or young friends looking to have a good time while still relaxing and getting some rest!

Pros: This hotel was a great surprise in terms of quality, price, location, and service. It's located on a great street for shopping and dining, and only blocks away from the airport bus shuttle.
John at reception was very kind and friendly, circled lots of things on the map of Barcelona for me to see, and recommended some restaurants. The free glass of sparkling wine was a nice touch as well.
The room was fantastic, with a beautiful soaking tub and comfortable bed, and a balcony that opened up onto Passeig de Gracia. It should be noted that this room is great for solo travelers or anyone who doesn't mind an open concept room. The shower and toilet have frosted glass doors, but the tub is open. It may not be private enough for some people, but I thought it was fine as I was solo.
The mini bar wasn't too expensive either, which can be hit or miss at many hotels, and had s great selection of snacks/beverages.
Overall this was a fantastic stay in Barcelona and the hotel made it that much better.

We were in the city in a perfect location, within walking distance of all the sites anyone would want to see in Barcelona. However, the hotel made us feel as though the city was ours. There was a feeling of exclusivity the hotel offered in it's design. More like our own private apartment. The staff was so friendly, that it gave the impression they were there just to make you happy. Many nice little touches in the hotel design that gave it a modern cool feel. Highly recommend.

Cons: The only negative to the hotel is completely out of their hands, but there is a new retail store being constructed below, so after 8 or 9 am, it can be a little loud. It looks like it's just starting, so it may go on for quite some time. This wouldn't stop me from stating again by any means, but if you party all night and want to sleep in, it could be tough.

Cons: The sitting room was missing one of two chairs. I know because the same room one floor higher we were reassigned to had both and a lamp. The showers have granite floor covers and they move and make horrific noises and in the case of our first room concealed bugs and debris that smelled and looked horrible until the water made the bugs obvious on the edges with the debris. Nightmare! They moved us but it left us wondering about the next room and hotel generally. The next room actually had a bed for two as we were confirmed for, proper amounts of chairs, lamps, etc. Did not feel like it deserved a 5 star rating for many reasons. Won’t go back

Cons: The rooms face to street are so noisy at nights and also there are some room facilities(i.e. lamps, Tv, fridge, ..etc..) that they are out of order and need to be fixed prior to any guest reception. We also had to wait for almost an hour for the room to be cleaned at the time of arrival.

Cons: A tiny factor to mention, but the TV has many channels, but did not display the channel number. So if you wanted to return to a specific channel, you had to scroll through all the channels to find it again. Asked at the front desk regarding interactive tv, but I don't think the person understood what I was asking. By the way, for those get a room with the tv mounted over the wall unit, the tv is on a slider, so you can move it from left to right to gain access to all the cabinets.

Cons: Breakfast is too expensive for what it offers. Noisy. Air conditioning was totally ineffective in our room, despite informing the staff. Bed too hard: back aches followed.

The noise of the staff at the cafeteria at 12pm & at 6am. The staff of the cafeteria is not welcoming and always in a hurry for us to leave. Once, a member wanted to clean our table whereas we had not finish !!! And they reduce the space of the cafeteria too, the place was crowded but it was easier for them to clean it !!!
We had not enough towels once and not enough brush glasses throughout our stay.
The mastresses are too old. I had a backache for 2 days !!!

Cons: I booked the duplex room cause I was travelling with a friendly couple, so we thought to save some money and share the same room which was on two floors with and internal ladder. big mistake! The couple that slept on the room on the first floor had no complains. I had to sleep on the single bed on ground floor. The matress was too thick like sleeping on a bench, I was next to the parking lot from one side of the room and next to the road from the other side. No heating on ground floor, too noisy, not even one hanger for my clothes, plus the wall was full of moisture, jacuzzi was also not working but this is the less. I freezed during the night, woke up with a runny nose. I filed a complaint form asking for refund of my money.

When we arrived room wasn't ready and they were 14:00 PM when we booked there was written check in starting from 13:00 PM. They gave us a very worth room, bidet was obstruct and Hairdryer broken. For having bidet repaired I had to tell them three times and only last time somebody came in front of me to repair it. I don't think it is a three stars hotel, this is only a two stars.

Cons: There was no information that you needed to rent out a remote for TV and the blinds- so it took few seconds to realise that on your own. The hotel was close to Gaudi Museum but somewhat far (on foot) from everything else. There are some works being done on the main station once you get off at Lesseps metro station so it was not easy to see where the Av. Argentina was- and therefore to locate the hotel. Still the Spanish were fantastic and even if they were not able to communicate in English, were incredibly helpful.

Pros: I thought APT was a nice hostel, fun environment, lots of people from different countries and very young crowd. The breakfast was ok, the staff was helpful and answered any of my questions about the city, the sites to visit and how to get around town by metro or by foot.
Cons: The only thing I had a problem with was the Wifi internet. Sometimes I wasn't able to get Wifi so they would have to reset it. On one occasion they told me that it was down and there was nothing they could do because they were too busy, only after 20 min did they turn it on. Sorry, I don't see the logic in making customer (who has already paid) wait 20 minutes instead of making a person checking in wait 2 minutes.
