Classy hotel and not too busy even on a December weekend which was a great setting to relax.
Cons: Location is good, away from too much hustle and bustle, but is about 20-25 minute walk into the main town, and given that Barcelona is widely spread out it made for a good few thousands steps a day! Easy access to the airport via the bus though. Unfortunately we were woken at 8.45am by extremely loud banging in the corridor/stair well, which lasted an hour and a half. The room was comfy but not that spacious - not practical to spend much time in there as there's nowhere to sit, and an absence of drink making facilities.

Cons: I booked a standard room thinking that there was a bathtub in the room (there was a bathtub in the pictures). However, when we got to the room we saw that there was only a shower. I didn't realize that if I wanted a bathtub I had to request it when I made the reservation. Thankfully the receptionist was able to change us to another room which had a bathtub.

Cons: The rooftop bar was not open and building works banged and drilled from 8 am one morning. I think both of these should have been stated when we booked. The bar ran out of Baileys and they could not do an espresso martini. NYE we were not allowed a drink before we went out because we were not eating in the restaurant, we were paying to stay there! After 2 of our party complaining a drink was done for us reluctantly! When we arrived home a random towel was in our bath, it was explained to us that the cleaners put it there not to slip. I am not a complainer but I feel there was a succession of events we weren’t happy with.

Pros: From the beginning the experience was a real pleasure. I saw the pictures before hand like everybody else, but let me tell you the hotel and its location are breathtaking! The building is modern and spotless. The views on Placa de Espanya from the room and the rooftop are incredible. The checkin process was a breeze with super nice staff! Both the gentleman and the young lady were so smiley, nice and helpful. I want them both to know! I have so many great things to say about this place!

Cons: Poor value for money. We paid extra for a deluxe room, but the amenities were inferior to what you would expect for that price and the 'deluxe' label (no bathtub, lower level room, etc.). We also found the room very impractical and at times frustrating (weird shape making most of the space useless, only one set of light switches by the bed, room cards that don't get recognised by the card reader, etc.). The traffic noise from the very busy boulevard was another issue. In all, there are plenty of better places in Barcelona for that price, and we won't stay in this hotel again.

Cons: My only complain is over heating: the place and floors were super super super hot. I think it was probably 25° if not more in the building. Not only it was too hot but it’s also not good for the planet overall! Management if you read this, check your thermostat!

Cons: They wont let you check-in early. Even if your room is available before 3pm they wont let you check in. The rooms were also hot as hell. Literally felt like a sauna in there. Bring a personal fan or something if you do stay.

Pros: Room was impeccably clean. Great bed, great shower. Friendly staff. Convenient location - adjacent to Metro stop but also comfortable walk into city centre. Lots of eating options close by. Had a local feel to the neighborhood.
Cons: I had a problem with adjacent room occupant/s continually smoking, even though it is a non-smoking hotel and you are made aware of the smoking policy at check-in. I made hotel reception aware and they 'attended' to it without delay, but the smoking continued regardless. Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me and would prevent a return visit. I realise this is not the staffs fault but management should have a zero tolerance - that is, first offence you are made to vacate the hotel. Nor do I think it should be up to me to keep alerting hotel to smoking issue after initial complaint. Some people are so selfish and inconsiderate. Breakfast was only average - friendly brekky staff but food was average compared to that which I had encountered in previous 4 weeks travel through Europe.

The front desk staff were very helpful with information and spoke perfect English. Breakfast is available at 16 euros/day if desired. Our room was in front, facing the street and had a small balcony where we could let in the afternoon breeze - loved it!

Cons: The pool is rather small, more for relaxation than exercise. I believe the website mentions airport transfers being available, but I'm not sure that is actually the case - they don't have their own shuttle, and we wound up taking a taxi to/from the airport.

Pros: The hotel is very well located, centrally, and the access from the airport can be made very easy using the A2 bus. The room is unexpectedly large and comfortable, equipped with Ikea furniture. There is also a small kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and a kettle. Breakfast is varied, with food for all tastes. The staff at the reception is very friendly. In case you want to leave your luggage in the hotel until you leave the plane, there is a special room for storage, without any charge.
Cons: Everything was perfect, nothing to say.

Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Supermarkets, bakeries, fruit markets, pharmacy, metro everything is very close. Parking is cheaper than other locations as well.
Cons: Bathroom was not clean. We found hair and dirty toilet. Breakfast room is very small, so if you come in the peak hour you really have to push yourself through and you may even have to wait in line for a table. We could not buy water in the hotel. They have a vending machine which was out of order and they could not help us in any other way. Also, room service cleans the room but does not clean the kitchenette or the dishes EVEN if you kindly ask them to do so. We asked after we decided to stay two days longer, but they could not do that for us. The rooms have good heating, but kitchnette and bathroom are not heated, so that part od the apartment was pretty cold (we visited in Jan).

Cons: There was a misunderstanding in the beginning regarding whether or not I had booked the room with breakfast or not. I felt the man who checked us into the hotel was a little rude regarding this and overly assertive, however having explored more of Barcelona I'm starting to think that this is the way customer service works in the area as literally everyone who worked in every place we visited was like this.

Not clean very small , you can here the conversation and all the noises very clearly from all 4 rooms in that side of the floor as you are living in the same exact place with strange people. They clean but not good. Not in nice place or near by turistic places you must walk at least 10 blocks for something nice . Breakfast very simple you can get better outside the hotel.

Cons: Staff wasn’t friendly at all. They didn’t even ask about my stay or would not even greet every time I got into the hotel. Facilities could be improved, still don’t get the shortage on water last Wednesday but I don’t blame the hotel. The cleaners came twice in my room without knocking the door while I was sleeping! Nevertheless all the noise that goes on in the morning in the corridors when they speak out loud forgetting there are customers sleeping. I paid for breakfast but the food was in horrible conditions even the waiter of the restaurant noticed how bad the eggs they were offering was. The donuts were as hard as rocks, bacon was undercooked, there wasn’t any milk on display unless you ask and they give you a coffee cup... I’m really dissatisfied with this hotel though

Cons: The hotel staff was rather dry and unfriendly. On my second day the wifi passwords had changed and I had to go downstairs to the lobby to ask for the new password. The only front desk attendant was giving everyone horrible attitude that asked for the new password, although he knew all the passwords had been reset.

They charge you 10 euros if you lose a cheap key card. We asked for a late checkout and they just COULDN'T HANDLE IT. Some girl from the reception entered our room four times, woke us up, asking about our reservations. It was super uncomfortable and stressing.
