Cons: "Since our custom and emigration checking was in Abu Dhabi, in Chicago, the flight used a domestic terminal. For our final leg of the flight, we had to haul all six pieces of luggage from terminal 5 to terminal 3. Then we were told that our American Airlines flight from Chicago to Kalamazoo is not a valid one. So we were booked to a different flight 12 hours later. We had to stay in Chicago for 12 hours on our own. Neither Etihad nor American Airlines provide any support for that time period in Chicago. Since it was Etihad ticket, According to international norm, Etihad should take the responsibility for this problem and compensated passengers."

Cons: "On the flight to and from Abu Dhabi from DC, both planes had a mechanical problem with the toilet seats. The seats would not stay up, so they would come crashing down onto your spine as you were seated, which was painful. The only way to avoid this was to hold it back as you sat, which required you to twist around. This whole experience was uncomfortable and unsanitary. On the Abu Dhabi to DC flight, the toilet was self-flushing, as well. Except that it also malfunctioned and flushed every time before I stood up. This was an unnerving experience."

My husband, who is tall and broad shoulder was constantly being knocked around by the flight attendants and carts. This flight was miserable. I guess I should be thankful for the hour plus delay in departure."

Everyone knows that air travel is dehydrating - I can't believe BA doesn't give provide complimentary water and juice."

I haven't seen anything like that since the 1990s! There was no USP or outlet to charge phones or ipads so i couldn't even use my entertainment. I understand this happens, but for the inconvenience BA should give some sort of compensation. After the long wait we were starving, but they ran out of all of the food choices. We were scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but ended up arriving after 22:00. this wasted our first night of our vacation in Rome. There was one passenger in particular who was yelling, swearing and causing a scene because of the flight delay. His rude behavior was rewarded with an upgrade to first class. The message this sends to your passsengers is that we should all be loud and obnoxious when problems arise. I was not impressed with my first experience with BA."
Pros: "The staff were all very friendly, and even though we did not get seats together at check in, the gate agent managed to find us seats together which made the trip more enjoyable."
Cons: "I was disappointed to find that there were absolutely no entertainment or connectivity options on board a 2 1/2 hour flight. It's pretty much standard across carriers now to have at least internet access and a portable device entertainment option. I also did not enjoy paying for even the most basic beverages on the flight. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks should be included. You'll save a pound, but lose a customer."
Cons: "Asked to check baggage in right before boarding. Cabin pressure was terrible. Seats were not comfortable No food was offered for free. No entertainment was offered. Disappointed in flying Airbus 321"

Cons: "Having to pay for a drink of water was unexpected. Not having to deal with cash for purchases saves the hassle for attendants, but the credit card machine did not work, there was no alternative machine to try after I was told "we have been having some issues", and as a result I was unable to have anything. The associate seemed unconcerned and unapologetic and simply walked away. Poor response."

Cons: "I’m still hungry and incredibly tired. Nobody buys their main cabin extra product, so there’s many empty seats. Ripe for the families that don’t want to pay extra to sit together. Those families bring kids, screaming kids to a section filled with higher fare paying customers. The FA in my section had such big hips, that she knocked my shoulder EVERYTIME she walked by. Not only that, everytime she did the courtesy reach over to grab empty cups from the middle seat, she hit me with her trash bag. Woulda been fine had I been awake, but I was trying to sleep in between the bouts of screaming from the devil possessed kids."

Cons: "The flight I booked was misrepresented. I thought I was booking a BA flight only to find it was American Airlines. This changed the terminal I was to go to and the gate in which our Italian non-english speaking driver was to meet us at. This impacted seating selection, as well. Was forced to buy a premium seat when I realized the seating chart did not appear when I purchased the tickets. Also, flight was three hours late upon arrival. I understand safety is paramount and am grateful we eventually were able to find another plane, but it begs to speculate if things would have been smoother on a BA plane."
Pros: "Food was okay. Luckily plenty of wine to get through 8 hours on this horrible plane."
Cons: "No individual video screens. Also our audio did not work ( true of most of one side of plane) so we could not even watch movie on the TINY overhead screen. Reading lights also did not work. We had no options to pass the time for an eight hour flight. The crew was unconcerned about the problem. They seemed grumpy!! This plane should not be used for long haul flights."

Cons: "The seats were incredibly uncomfortable. There was no leg room and 122 of the space below the seat in front of me was taken up by a metal box attached to the seat. I couldn't put both feet under the seat in front of me. The food was bad tasting and overly processed. We were fed a lean cuisine. The entertainment was from mounted tv's in the aisle. At this point, all planes crossing the ocean should have individual tvs for a customer to watch. They had this 15 years ago, how do they not have it now."

Cons: "Everything else! We were first sold a British airlines flight, and then we got switched to American Airlines. I don't know if that is actually an okay thing for them to do. When we got onto to plane we were stuck on the runway for over 2 1/2 hours, where the outside temperature was 95 degrees and the AC in the plane didn't work. The delay was all due to a mechanical difficulty with the engine, this did not give us peace of mind when flying over the atlantic. while up in the air my newly wedded wife and I were hoping maybe we could watch a movie to help keep our minds off the creaking of the wings, the pool of sweat from the delay, and the grumpy flight attendants. Seeing as it was a 9 hour international flight, you would have expected some sort of entertainment. Maybe a personal TV.... nope. Maybe a community TV... nope. At least they have to have a radio....... nope. All we got were our two thumbs to twiddle. After a much needed nap. We woke up hoping maybe for a hot breakfast, but to put the cherry on top of some terrible ice cream, we got a mediocre cold breakfast. All in all I will not fly American Airlines again. I would happily and quickly pay double for any other airlines but them. It's such a poor reprisentation of our country."

Cons: "Think it is ridiculous that I had to pay so much to select a seat ahead of time, and it was just a regular seat. I can understand for extra legroom or exit row, but for a regular seat, that is ridiculous. Then there was a fee to change priority boarding, so I could ensure I was able to have my carry-on with me, instead of risk having it go underneath."

Cons: "Almost everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Literally, every plane we were supposed to fly on had something wrong with it. We were delayed for hours, missed a connecting flight, had to take another flight which was delayed even longer, they had to find another plane entirely because something was wrong with THAT one. Once we finally got on the plane, we sat on the runway for an hour because there was some kind of TSA-related issue (awesome) and then the airport wouldn't let any planes take off inexplicably. We got to our destination 12 hours later than we were supposed to. But to make up for it, American gave us $10 food vouchers to use in the airport in the middle of the night..."

Cons: "I paid $150 extra for 2 exit row seats thinking we could use the extra room on the long flight. Unfortunately, the exit row space was cut off by and smaller than a normal row! Our legs were extremely cramped by the time we got to Rome. We had no overhead storage, which was already small, so we had to put our carry-ons multiple rows behind us -- which made exiting the plane a pain. There wasn't any personal entertainment systems, just one tv per section. The food was sub par. The crew was nice enough, but I'll NEVER take American Airlines internationally again."
