Pros: "The crew was professional and super friendly."
Cons: "Our bags had arrived early, and were waiting at the service station. However, there was no one there in the rooms and our stuff was left outside the door. We have pictures of our bags left out. It’s kind of a bummer that our stuff was left unattended. Someone could of grabbed it."

Although I realize both companies are Star Alliance, the bait & switch is unacceptable & I would NOT have purchased these tickets for United. Flight had much more turbulence than my experience on ANA which is why I refuse to fly any other airlines. Will recommend against Kayak to everyone I know."

We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

Even more so when the food (though very Japanese) was quite good quality in economy. If you have to spend 10 hours or more crossing an ocean ANA is certainly a good bet, at least if you don't mind a bento box style meal."

Thete was not sufficient time to arrive more than an hour early due to the fact Gimpo airport opens at 6am and the flight was at 7:45. When I arrived I was not allowed to check in or board and no one wanted to help me find out what to do. They suggested I call my ticketing agent. Thankfully they were helpful but they mentioned the ANA SHOULD have helped me find the next available flight but the representative kept repeating it was not her job. Finally she looked and said there were no available flights and tried to push me to buy another ticket through another company. My ticketing agent helped after she heard what happened and rebooked my flight for the next day. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but ANA staff at Gimpo were a bit of a nightmare to deal with"

Two other fellow travelers booked flight VA 7516 through Expedia for $218 (USD) one-way. I was able to open the same flight / departure time / price with Expedia but could not book. I then switched to Kayak and located this same flight (as I wanted to travel together with them), and it was for approximately same price. Upon check-in I was told it would cost $120 to check my luggage in (which I reluctantly paid). They indicated my ticket did not include this. I later discussed this with my two travelers and their check-in luggage plus a meal were included with their Expedia (Virgin Australia) ticket. Why was my Kayak (Virgin Australia) ticket so different from Expedia when our bookings were done about the same time? I no longer trust Kayak for future bookings."

Because our LAX yo LHR flight arrived a bit late, we missed our flight to GLA and had to wait nine hours to get seats on another flight from LHR to GLA. No accomodations were made for us. We had to manage nine hours in LHR with a 4 year-old -- we had no other choice."

Pros: "Fantastic service and overall experience on my first flight on a 787 Dreamliner. Flying QF50 with Qantas from SFO to Melbourne. Slept 8 hours. Will fly down from Sydney to leave via Melbourne in the future, such a good plane."

Cons: "The airport closure wasn't PALs fault but the absolute lack of organisation and an attitude "act of God so look after yourself" is disgusting. Flying business expected some service but had nothing and they smiled and said they rebooked me 16 days later. Other airlines would book you on different carriers but not PAL. Last time no matter what special deal they offer."

Cons: "My family of 4 were not seated together even though all four tickets were purchased together in the same booking. After booking through KAYAK for flights, the on-line check-in process was a nightmare with the KAYAK booking number not matching the information required by QANTAS. As my children were all spread over the plane, and two son's look very similar, a hostess almost did not serve one of my son's a meal as she believed my son had already received a meal further forward in the plane. Thankfully, upon checking, the hostess realised that it was a case of mistaken identity."

I had, had to pay $800 on my flight to Seoul, since they would not let me board because of a late connecting flight. Sometime during re-issue of my destination ticket, someone cancelled my return flight. Though 3 hours early, I had to wait for the counter to open, and then wait an hour and a half standing at the counter to get a ticket. There was no entertainment. The orange juice was not drinkable. I had to run through the Beijing Airport. so many security checks and my bag was searched many times during this trip. my toothpaste was confiscated though it had only about 3 uses left it was a full size tube rolled down to the last bit."

By this point I will be gone from Shanghai....baggage service thought it was funny and told me not to transfer in Beijing next time."

Cons: "first flight to China was delayed so the connecting flight to Tokyo was missed. no explanation was given for the delay no food vouchers were available that night they lost my bag in china for 3 hours they brought me to hotel in unmarked bus with no explanation hotel told me that air china would only cover half the cost so I need to pay more or share a room the next day, air china's manager was uninterested in helping or explaining there hotel arrangements food on the last flight was just rice gruel and an aged egg. I am flexible but that's not even considered a meal in china. there is at least salt or pickled things in it. audio ports on plane did not work properly. on arriving home, most of the items in my suit case were crushed (coat hangers snapped, boxes crushed, bags ripped open) my dslr camera batteries were all taken (alkaline based ones) I travel between japan and america two or three times a year for the last 30 years. this last trip was one for the books! not sure where to start"

Cons: "Air china did not have enough crew to manage the flight. They didn't offer self check in at any kiosk, and they only opened airport check in 2 hours prior to the flight. The lines were out of control. Korean air had to come and assist, which was a good thing because they were much more friendly than the air china staff."
