Pros: "It was a very pleasant surprise to receive an upgrade at the boarding gate to a Skycouch. While I was too tall to make use of it my wife was able to use two thirds of it and get a good sleep. The flight attendants were excellent, friendly, warm attentive presenting the very best of Kiwi hospitality."

Virgin's standard ticket has 23kg luggage included. What is the problem with a ticket bought online through agents such as BYOJet and Kayak?"

I have never had any airline actually weigh my personal item (laptop backpack) before this journey. The weird thing is, I was never told about this rule on my journey from the US to India."

However we were flying West and thus into daylight. Sadly the window seated passengers were not asked to close their window blinds to block out the sunlight and many were left open. This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

Cons: "I planned a wonderful vacation for my birthday only to face a horrible experience. Not only was the flight uncomfortable, but my television did not work. There was a huge box underneath the seat in front of me which prevented me from stretching my legs outward. The television was on but the screen itself wasn't operating. I reached for the remote located in the armrest only to find the entire piece missing. Only the base was there. I asked the flight attendents three times if I can move to an empty seat and they said "give me a moment". The moment never came. I really expected more from this airline."

Assigned last seat in plane going even though short layover - had to run after 12 hours on plane since got last bus to terminal and waited, waited, waited for final passengers, not fun. Way back flight changed and no accomodation made (a lounge, room, anything) for 7.5 hour layover "you'll just have to hang in there" in middle of night even though others on my tour with same issue in dubai got a room included. With added stress of going through qatar which i booked because of longer layover so wouldnt miss connection just before political decree announced, i will do anything to avoid qatar again despite the very friendly crew. And having to wrap my camera equipment to check it, get extra insurance, such a pain."

But still the leg room would have been ok but the middle seat (second row behind the bilkhead row) had the front passenger's entertainment system arranged across the footwell, not sideways, so it completely blocked the footwell and prevented any stretching of the legs. I am a tall passenger and this caused much discomfort on the flight, I had to keep getting up to walk around. Cons: "I don't know if this is representative but we were late both ways (2 hrs and 1 hr). Differently from other airline I've used to do this trip they don't go and offer water during the flight. You can go to get some drinks yourself of course but this is not always easy when your neighbor is sleeping."

Cons: "Three and a half hour delay (while lying to us about why it was delayed) missed my connecting and got to sleep in an airport with no accommodation or recompense on either end. "Island Time" not acceptable for air travel."

Cons: "Hard to board when everyone lines up and doesn't get out of the way for those to board whose seat numbers were called. The attendant started calling the next numbers before the first group had a chance to get through all the people waiting! You couldn't push thru the crowd because others in front of you were in the same predicament. People were asked to stay in their seats until their numbers were called but they didn't listen. We were an hour late taking off. Food was not very good and I'm not a picky eater. Rolls were hard as a rock and The eggs were uneatable. The lady in front of me reclined her seat all the way back and slept the whole flight so I was uncomfortable the whole way home and couldn't sleep. Her seat was resting on my knees. Very hard to eat off a tilted tray table. Seats very close together so hard to get to the remote."

Pros: "Being a redeye flight, they kept the plane dark for about 4 hours & didn't disturb us. The crew was friendly & professional."
Cons: "The terminal is not air-conditioned, just ceiling fans, so waiting to board was uncomfortable. We had no ability to select our seats so we had to take what they gave us."

Pros: "Free movies rocks. Hawaiian air charges for them. Very good food"

Cons: "The flight was delayed, the food wasn't good at all, because I was traveling with a cast on my left foot I asked for a front seat a week before my flight and when I asked at the counter at the airport they say that they wouldn't be able to give me a front seat, the lady at the counter wasn't nice at all, she didn't help and it felt that she wasn't trying to help me or to manege any other solution."

Pros: "I liked getting a pillow and blanket. Movie selection was good but could be a little better."
Cons: "The food selection was "meh." I am a vegetarian and I wish I was told during booking to request a veggie meal. I would have given an "excellent" score with vegetarian options readily available and better movies."

Cons: "Seats are too small/narrow with little leg room for a 6' person. I was seated in 45A, the last row against the window. The seat backs do not recline yet, the seats in front of us so so, we end up with the guy ahead of my in my lap with zero leg room as my knees were pressed down by the reclined passenger in front of me. Very uncomfortable to not be able to move for 8 hours!!!!"

Pros: "Loved that there was a blanket and pillow provided, that they also provided headphones, earplugs, and a sleep mask, and that they served food and wine."

Pros: "This was a wonderful flying experience for me. I was happy with the selection of entertainment, the seats were comfortable, and the crew was friendly. I also enjoyed the food!"
Cons: "We spent a long time on the tarmac at LAX. The explanation was that they were making sure everyone's bags got on board...which I felt was very odd. We left late, and arrived in Pape'ete 45 minutes late. Otherwise, the experience was excellent."

Pros: "This is a direct flight from Paris to LA so you don't have to pick up your luggage to go through customs when you go back to the US. You save a lot of time! I had 2 seats for myself. The cabin looks very attractive because of its colors. The Tahitian music is relaxing. It is also nice to see the crew with a Tahitian outfit, Tahitian pearls... You kind of travel without going to Tahiti! The crew is always very pleasant. The food is better than with any American airline."

Cons: "I did not like the schedule. Leaving by 7 in the evening would permit many more connecting flights upon arrival in LA. Leaving Papeete at midnight wss exhausting. There were a lot of empty spaces but when we were assigned seats, we were not asked if we would like a place to stretch out (which we would have!)"

Pros: "Colors and design are beautiful. Staff is courteous. Appreciate the extra giveaway bags. Food is nice and pretty decent. First flight to PPT was great. Returning flight to LAX was bad."
Cons: "In comparison to the flight we took from LAX to PPT, this plane was ancient, and the technology was really lackluster. The tv screens were super old and the quality was very bad. My screen was completely fuzzy and striated.. The movies froze continuously, and you didn't have control over when you could play something. The magazine guide to what was playing didn't match what was playing. You needed to use the airplane headphones with a double jack because the plane was so old, and the headphones were super uncomfortable to wear in comparison to my own personal headphones. I ended up using my own headphones, but that meant that I only had sound in one ear. There was no USB port to charge your phone. It was just very disappointing considering the airplane going to my destination was more state of the art and comfortable, and I was expecting the same going back. For an 8 hour red eye, I was counting on being able to watch good movies. I tried to watch three different movies and couldn't watch any of them through completion because they froze midway through at some point and never restarted. Most of the movies were in French too even though our destination was LAX. Super disappointing. Especially considering how expensive the flight was. Also on the flight to PPT, they even gave you a Tempur-pedic pillow for your back which was so helpful in terms of overnight comfort. There was nothing like that on this flight. Also there were no temperature controls and I had cold air blowing on me the whole flight that I could do nothing about. Lastly the food schedule was strange in that for a midnight flight, they kept you up for another 1-1.5 hours to do a light dinner service. The food is appreciated but I think going to sleep right away is way more important. Seats are super tight also. Thank you."

Pros: "My wife and I have planned a trip to Bora-Bora since we got married in the 80s. I had said that I would not make that long trip without a first class ticket and followed through with this our recent trip. Although the ticket was quite expensive, it was worth every penny. Air Tahiti Nui really understands what "First Class" should be like -they pamper you! They deliver course after course of amazingly good quality food and more drinks than you can possibly consume. All of the flight attendants were sincerely interested in making sure we were all happy...a wonderful experience! darn worth the investment! highly recommended! And remember, this is just the lead-up to arriving in Tahiti; things will only get better when you disembark."

Food is not even discernible as to what you're attempting to eat. It's the type of food comedians used to make jokes about. Planes are outdated and need upgrades"

Pros: "Every seat has its own entertainment system, no charge. Food was decent. Blankets, pillows, headphones, earplugs and sleep mask provided at no charge as well."

Cons: "I booked the flight through kayak and was surprised that we were given two meals. However, both meals included meat. When I asked about a vegetarian option I was curtly asked if I ordered one. When I attempted to explain that I didn't know food would be served the flight attendant just shook his head and walked away."

Seemed to me that too much space on plane dedicated to the premium 'cabins' for the uber rich, but they were interesting to look at."

Knowing this, they didn't bring enough luggage carts, so they only brought some of the luggage to the baggage claim and didn't tell us this. 5-6 of us waited and waited and finally asked someone who told us that they had to go back to the plane to get the rest of the luggage. Those of us still waiting got to wait another half hour for our luggage. Talk all they want, United just can't seem to get it right. PS: those of us who had to wait were the ones who got to the San Antonio airport the earliest and thus our luggage was on the plane first."

Cons: "Not giving me my seat number because my ticket was not a standby ticket and I seem to think that the agent thought that I was on standby but I have to go to him several time to make him understand that my ticket had a confirmation number and I did a reserve and I needed a seat number it was not on standby when he checked it he said okay and I also explained to him that I was a military personnel ... The agent should treat us with respect you should have gave me a better information and just throw me away then going back to him several times for the correct solution..."

There ancillary customer amenities truly are way above any other Airline that I've experienced in The Last 5 Years. When you first class and have access to the United Club room it is truly a very comfortable experience."

Cons: "We were delayed due to computer issues, the two different mechanical issues, then it took over an hour to stand in line to get help. They had to hire a bus to take us to Houston, once I got there, I realized that San Antonio crew lied to me and had not booked me a ticket on the flight they told me, then they sent me to talk to Air Canada, then back to United. They had booked me for next day, but was able to fly as stand-by the same day."

Cons: "I didn't like that when I got on and off my flights. When I asked for help because I am deaf and mute no one would escort me to the planes cabin or the right gate. Had to ask 3 different gates which way do I go because I cant hear and I was upset because I thought I wouldn't make my flight. My wife made sure that they put on my information in the system that they would help me, but I guess it doesn't work like that. In future I will make different arrangement so that I can get the help I need."
