FAQs for Booking Queenstown to New Zealand Flights
Book cheap flights from Queenstown to New Zealand (return)
Cons: At Sydney, 6-7 check-in agents for probably 400+ passengers, nearly an hour wait. Airline model is cheap seats, then charge like hell for everything else. Want seat selection or movies or preassigned seat or uncramped seat? Pay up. Ended up assigned next to toilet on a 10-hr red-eye flight.
Pros: Easy boarding in Queenstown and the flight staff was friendly and helpfull.
Cons: Thier bag fees are outragous. It was extreemly difficult to find thier allowances online and we ended up paying more than our ticket price to check our bags. If it was more clear what the fees are, we would not have chosen Jetstar. I would recomend going with New Zealand Air over Jetstar hands down.
Pros: Short & sweet flight, especially since a local delicious cookie was provided.
Cons: Boarding was a bit of a pain in the rear. They won't let you go through security till about 30 min before your flight, so things feel a bit rushed and they take their carry-on bag weight limits very seriously. I ended up wearing two jackets to make the cut off. There was no entertainment available, but on my next Air New Zealand flight (much longer flight) the entertainment was more than abundant and great!
Pros: I loved everything. From the friendly service to the comfort of the plane... it was fabulous for the 12 hours I was on board.
Cons: Nothing. I had great service and a great flight the entire ride. Well done... Best airline I've ever flown with!
Pros: Flight was good. Good snacks and beverages. There was no entertainment so we were on our own.. Plane was comfortable
Cons: The cabin baggage restrictions are very, very strict. 7kg (15lbs) limit for carryon combined with your personal item. So strict that they take the time to weigh your luggage before going through the gate. Very frustrating because a small case already weighs up to 6.2lbs. Add your chargers, camera, phone, voltage converter, book and you are over the limit. Flight attendants were grumpy and the over head storage was occupied by the flight attendants personal belongings and items for the plane. Very little space for our 1 carryon.
Pros: The crew was courteous and nice.
Cons: We were charged $100 per bag and $50 per Kg over the weight limit. Baggage fees were not clearly listed when booking this flight. We found out about the cost when we were checking in to board. Jetstar should state up front in the flight cost area about their baggage fees, not hidden in the fine print. A side note, everything on the flight cost extra; water, Wi-Fi, etc. Once the added fees are calculated into the cost, Jetstar is not cheaper than the other airlines.
We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.
We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
