Cons: "Online checkin presented problems, as did the kiosk checkin. Breakfast could have been served a little earlier -- I realize they wanted to give passengers sleep time and turbulence may have delayed service somewhat, too. Otherwise good."

Cons: "We booked our tickets and chose our seats and nowhere did it warn or tell us that we were located in a ‘safety row’ where the arm rest would not fold up. So we could not stretch out during our 12 hr flight. This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had on the multiple trips I have done between USA and Australia or New Zealand. The seat ordering from the kitchen was rarely available, even after the flight attendants had finished food service and pick up. The flight attendants weren’t very friendly."

I had to pay for 1 bag & it would have been $250 but ANZ did work with me &changed the ticket for $125 name-Marjorie Kalama"

Cons: "Missed the flight because of a very late connection. Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia kept handing me off to each other since it was booked as virgin Australia but on an air New Zealand flight. Neither wanted to help at first. Finally virgin Australia ticket agent took pity and helped me rebook for the next day. This was after I was told by air New Zealand that I had to call the booking number for virgin Australia. I’m traveling from the US and didn’t have a cell phone that worked in Australia... which I explained and asked how I could call the number without a phone. Was promptly told to go over to Virgin Australia ticket counter where I made the one remaining agent who was closing the desks help me. However the airport lost my luggage and could not find where it was. I ended up spending three hours in the airport and still no luggage with the baggage company saying they have no record of it anywhere. Very frustrating trip."

Cons: "- seat space is tiny, and I'm 6'2" - plane was full to the brim - in-seat TV was annoying: either you paid for something, or it kept turning on and showing advertising - engine noise was terrible. I needed to use noise-cancelling headphones just to hear myself think. - sat on the tarmac in SFO for 1/2 hour before takeoff"
Cons: "Paid for business class so I could Relax and sleep on the 10+ hour flight. Unfortunately, I was in seat 1G which was adjacent to the galley and storage compartments for the flight crew. Literally, every 15 minutes, someone in the flight crew was bumping my seat/bed - and waking me up. Never once got an apology. So pissed off I paid extra for business class when I would've gotten more sleep in a middle seat in coach."

Pros: "Cool dimmers for window shade; flight attendant notice we did not have headphones and gave us some first class looking ones that really cancels out the noise. Although we had it in the pocket we did not choose to use at that time but she took it upon herself. Staff always friendly."

Cons: "Not worth the extra money for preferred seats. Food was terrible. I figured I could just buy a sandwich or something but they didnt have anything except for pretzels. Even the options they had available on the menu the crew said they didn't have any of it on board. Then the in flight entertainment wasn't working for some people so they had to reboot the system which took about half an hour and I lost my place in the movie I was watchIMG. I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

Cons: "Handling at Melbourne Tullamarine was poor. The plane landed on time but was sent to the wrong dock and that caused a lot of time wastage. This seems to happen in Australian airports more than anywhere else."
