Once i found the right ticket counter to check in, i found that there was an extra baggage fee of NZ$130 that i had to pay to check my bag. Also, dinner seemed to be included for just about everyone sitting around me, and it was not included for me. I don't remember having the option of booking dinner with my flight. The agent at the Virgin Australia counter mentioned that this often happens when booking flights through the websites that are not the carrier's direct website. I have used others before, and not had these same issues... oh well - i guess that's what i get for booking through FlightNetwork.com. I'll probably go directly to airline websites in the future."

The food and mid flight snacks were delicious and free, the on-board entertainment was extremely diverse, entertaining and free, the offer of a glass of wine with my meal was delightful and having a bottle of water waiting in my seat pocket was very thoughtful and much needed during mid-flight. Quantas may not be as high tech as some of its sister airlines but the basic needs of its passengers are met without fanfare or need to fuss around with price lists and coupons and wether or not you have a debit card, credit card, visa or mastercard, cash or indeed, no card or cash at all. Quantas is my airline of choice and they have delivered every time."

The new flight with New Zealand air cost us double what our original flight with Jetstar cost. We incurred an additional unplanned cost of over $1000. We would like to be reimbursed for the additional costs! We feel like this is the responsibility of Jetstar to its customers."

The airline of course accepts no responsibility if you do have to check fragile gear due to their carry on restrictions. Seat space was hands down the smallest I've ever seen. Overheard at least three other passengers say the same Overall, experience couldn't be worse. Will not fly again."

Cons: "We had 8 flights booked and requested 2 wheel chairs and 1 checked bag for each passenger for each flight. We had no problem with other airlines. We were told by the Jetstar employee on the flight from from Auckland that there was no checked baggsge requested Not likely from our end because we had 8 flights in a 3 week period. We had our bags weighed at special services and was told we were limited to 15 kg for a checked bag. One bag supposedly weighed on that scale 17.6 kg but the same bag showed it weighed 13.9 kg when we checked it in. We were forced to pay $70 per bag for a total of $140. We need a refundnd immediately. Funny, on the return trip to Auckland our tickets showed 1 checked bag per passenger and we'were limited to 20 kg per bag on Jetstar. How can an airline operate this way. Your survey is ridiculous because you ask for ratings on nonapplicable items. ."

Cons: "A little de organized the boarding process but I have to say caused by passengers behavior, in addition some of the passengers didn't follow the luggage rule and nothing happened. I would like to suggest some information during the fligh. Where were be and what could we be seeing during our flight."
Cons: "Jetstar is cheap and terrible. We were charged $160 dollars to check small, carry-on sized bags we had expected to take on board with us. This is 4 times the price on their website; that price is no longer available once you're at check-in. The service was slow and inefficient. Even after checking in online we still had to wait in line to check in at the counter. This took ages since at least 5 or 6 other people were having issues with Jetstar, like us. The flight itself was cramped (I'm a shorter woman and had almost no leg room) and there were no complimentary drinks or snacks for our 4 hour flight. We opted for Jetstar because it's the cheapest option, but ended up having to pay more than we would have for a much nicer flight with another airline."

Pros: "They eventually got us to the destination (24 hours late) but it was an ordeal the whole way."
Cons: "Too many to list! After sitting on the plane for 3 hours with the door open freezing us out, the flight was cancelled at almost midnight. They didn't arrange hotel rooms so everyone had to fend for ourselves in finding a place to stay or getting out of the airport at midnight. We had to wait around for 24 hours until another flight. We didn't get extra legroom seats on that flight and they still haven't refunded the upgrade cost I paid and didn't get to use. Their customer service and ground crew were rude through this whole thing. On the next day's flight, it took hours to even get a water from the cabin service crew. Even the cheap price couldn't help us feel better about the POOR service."

Pros: "As you wait in line to board an employee is going down the line with a scale checking each carry on bag for weight. The same bag I've carried on multiple flights without problem. I'm told my bag will cost me an extra $50. Their weight restrictions are about half the norm evidently, so just plan to add $50 to your ticket price. Also everything else is extra as well, so don't be fooled into believing your trip is really just the price of the ticket (as it was with every other economy flight I had taken) but something considerably higher. I always travel with a standard size carry on bag and small personal bag and have never had this issue with any other airline."
