Pros: "Of all the flights and airlines I have used this was definitely the top of my list . The aircraft was clean , the crew were polite, curious, and attentive nothing was too much trouble. The food looked good tasted good and was plentiful. The pyjama were a nice added touch and very comfortable for the long flight. Flying into Cardiff airport was so good for my intended destination. I would certainly recommend them to others and many airlines could learn from their example.Well done and thank you"

Pros: "I really like the Qatar flight from Auckland to Manchester. But beware now that the Akl leg leaves 1 hour later the transit in Doha is officially 1.15hr. But since the first leg is always getting in and you have to bus to the terminal, transit time is about 30 mins. Although they are efficient and i made it this time, i wouldn't want to do this with kids."

I was in front of the bulkhead so there was no other place to store my items except the overhead bin and the flight attendant took the space in my bin for some baby items she thought she might need for another passenger. I had to store my personal items away from my seat."

The food on the flights was not the best, one the first one they ran out of chicken meal and only had fish left which was gross, for such a big airline you would also think they give a snack in between meals but they do not.also after giving you the food it took a long time for them to pick up the tray which I thought was unusual"

I had to call the airline multiple times to get an answer about a new flight. In my first call, the customer service was rude. There was also zero compensation for the inconvenience."

Entertainment service was horrible, old movies and typical Qatar Airline selection of Bollywood films (Expected when flying from Doha, but not New Zealand!) Seat would not recline, but no option to move to another isle seat."

Cons: "Due to a misunderstanding at check-in we have been seated away from a baby bassinette (although booked) to sit together with my husband, nobody asked what my preference would be (sitting as a whole family or having a bassinette) and a 17-hour flight with a 9month old baby constantly on my lap was challenging. Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

Cons: "Nearly empty flight and twice got assigned seat in very front with screaming child. Going had to move to nonreclining seat after 1st 12 hour flight. Assigned last seat in plane going even though short layover - had to run after 12 hours on plane since got last bus to terminal and waited, waited, waited for final passengers, not fun. Way back flight changed and no accomodation made (a lounge, room, anything) for 7.5 hour layover "you'll just have to hang in there" in middle of night even though others on my tour with same issue in dubai got a room included. With added stress of going through qatar which i booked because of longer layover so wouldnt miss connection just before political decree announced, i will do anything to avoid qatar again despite the very friendly crew. And having to wrap my camera equipment to check it, get extra insurance, such a pain."

Then another line up to get inside the boarding area where they again check your ticket and boarding pass. Then theres another line at the gate where they scan your boarding pass. Just when you think you're done, there's another line right before you enter the plane where they check all the hand carry of the passengers. Overkill! 2nd - the crew - not very friendly at all. I noticed they spent more time chitchatting with the caucasian in front of me than with the rest of the asians around me. No smiles for the passengers - not even when they lined up to say hi and goodbye. They were just going through the motions. When they answered the call lights of the ladies in front and beside me, they were curt and abrupt. It was a good thing i didnt need them for anything. Then i happened to go to the restroom and i saw them chatting among themselves in the back while the bathroom was a mess. 3rd - seats were ok, but were narrower 4th - food was hot but the dinner wasnt appetizing at all - some kind of meatball/mashed potato slush. I could only eat less than a quarter of the entree. The breakfast was ok- egg was ok, the bacon was soggy and the sausage was not salty which was a plus. 5th - a lot of movie choices! Helped pass the time quickly"

Pros: "The Denpasar Airport had been closed for days due to Ash/Volcano Agung, so luckily our Flight departed as planned, and on time. Was easily re-assigned a new seat (middle to aisle) at the gate. The staff was attentive and courteous."

We were in Thailand when Bali's Mount Agung erupted and called Cathay Pacific requesting our fees be waived to change our return flight from Denpasar, Hong Kong, Newark to Bangkok-Hong Kong-Newark. Cathay Pacific said the fee to change our flight is $350, and plus the difference in the new ticket price. That option was very expensive. We were very stressed about returning to Bali due to the High Alert warnings. The Denpasar Airport was closed for days -- and our request was not unreasonable."

Cons: "When we booked we asked for a child's meal and we advised of allergies. However I don't see why we would have to ask as we booked a child's seat and you have to provide the age which she is 4. When onboard from SYD/HKG and HKG/LONDON, NO meal was available for our child except for what everyone else was eating. She is anaphylaxis to shellfish, she was given shrimp!!!!! I am sure if she was given a child's meal she would not have got this. We were then told we have to advise the airline 12 hours before we fly that we want a child's meal. I am sorry but when travelling we should not have to do this and nor have we ever had to do it on any other airline. Poor poor poor!!!!"

The dinner was pretty decent, and they gave a small bottle of water along with Hagen Daz ice cream. The seats reclined pretty well for economy class (the bottom of the seat shifted too, which was unexpected). Power outlets at every seat and an extensive entertainment system with movies from Eastern and Western culture."

There is little leg room and the cushioning is not enough for a long distance flight. There is no boarding control. People just line up and get on the plane in any order."

From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

Cons: "flight crew were snippy. Had to ask for tea in between meals. Was assigned a middle seat when there were so many empty seats. The idea that we had to pay for seat assignments."
Cons: "I would have like an announcement to let me know what times food will be served. I woke up just as the crew had passed my row for breakfast and then couldn't get the attention of the lady to serve me breakfast. A vegan option for the menu would be excellent. The leg room on the plane was also very reduced for an 11 hour flight. I wish I would have been offered to pay an additional amount and upgrade to the business class. This option was never offered to me at check-in."
Pros: "The flight crew was super friendly and efficient. Lots of leg room and the croissant is a nice touch!"

Cons: "The food was really not great. The meals were tiny and low quality. I understand there are restrictions when on an aircraft, but the meals were the size of snacks and not understanding of allergies at all. (Ie, cheese was on everything.)"

Pros: "The crew did a great job of handling our 2-hour delay in starting from Zurich - we were kept updated on what was happening, the aircraft was at a comfortable temperature (not too hot, not too cold), and we were given water during the wait. Also, during the flight, the crew kept coming through with more water, which was VERY NICE! Plus, the moist towels prior to landing. It makes a big difference in comfort levels for such a long flight."
Cons: "The on-board entertainment system was old and very clumsy to handle (with the embedded control in the arm rest). Also, it crashed on me two times and had to be re-booted, which was frustrating and took a long time every time it happened."

Pros: "The best in flight service. I've taken Swiss air multiple times from Zurich to LA and I will never take another airline. The food is great, plenty of snacks and drinks. Great entertainment and the cabin crew treats you very well."
Pros: "As a frequent traveler, SWISS hadthe best airline food I've ever tasted. Very efficient in everyhing they do. Great service and the crew was very friendly. Unfortunately, I had a seat that was in between the two in front of it, so my TV was at an angle, but only a minor inconvenience"
Cons: "There was a supposed difficulty with my entry in Europe when I tried to Check into Chicago. I thought that I had to cancel my flight. Swiss air representatives had to do much consultation, which took nearly an hour, while I was standing there the whole time. At the end, I was thanked for my patience and told all should be well and not even given a small upgrade for the distress this caused me. Traveling is disagreeable in general now, and personally, even moreso after this episode."

Pros: "Entertainment and food were excellent, and the crew was pleasant and helpful. The small extras were delightful - i.e. warm cloths at the end of the flight! Overall, I think Swiss is a very good airline."
Cons: "On a long flight like this, the seating is still too cramped. We are not large people, and nine hours in those seats is difficult, even with considerate 'neighbors'. The seats are just too close together. This is an airport comment - Deboarding to a bus, then a walk to the train/tram, then security, then another walk to the gate - we barely made our connecting international flight."
Cons: "Through no fault of the airline, there was a strong thunderstorm that delayed our flight. Little information was provided about the situation. It was obvious that we could not fly in the storm, but we were not informed about the likely departure time. The reason I gave a poor ranking is that my suitcase/pack must have been left out in the downpour on the top of the pile so all of my clothes were extremely wet when I reached Boston. The bag itself was wet so it was not a case of something leaking in the bag. I have had to wash all of the clothes and iron them."

Cons: "Terrible flight had to delay few times , we had to wait inside in the plane for more than 2 hours , they had me to check im my carry on in geneva layover even i had a personla stuff inside and with no lock , rude crew i never even fly with suiss i had toncome back with lugthansa because they had to delay the flight again"
