Cons: "i had a hard time with their english, but it is better than my Chinese"
Cons: "The staff just took my husband and my passports while we have layover at wuhan. The Wuhan airport has nothing. The person who took our passports kinda detian us in the airport!! Is this legal? They also delayed our layover from 3hrs to 13hours layover in Wuhan airport! Nothing right about this!"
Pros: "I was expecting less and China Southern delivered a very good experience on their.international flight from Auckland to Guangzhou. I was able to meet up with my son who flew them from SFO and fly on to Cambodia together. Guangzhou airport is stellar, clean, spacious, and transit was comfortable. Will flutter again with confidence."
Cons: "The usual complaint thatevery airline's economy seats are just too small."
Pros: "Very nice comfortable seats in business and wonderful FA. This was a short connection so i was nervous what to do as ive never been to guangzhou before...but they met me at the departure stairs, another person guided me thru all the steps to security and it was great! No line at security so i was thru fast...very impressive airport and china southern"
Cons: "No vip bus for businessclass, we waited a long time, poor organization. Flight delaye of 30 minutes. Then nine of my luggage arrived in manila!! Very bad! The baggage agent couldnt tell even where the bags were at...very poor organization. Finally got the bags de,ivered the next day but no compensation...im unimoressed with this asoect of china southern..poorly done"
Pros: "Service and food were fine. Baggage allowance was generous."
Cons: "There was very little seat space... seemed narrower than usual and knees touched seat in front all the time unless I got them in one particular position, then it was just a very light touch. I don't recall being on a less comfortable flight. It's a shame that it was an 11 hour flight. The next flight was far better although only 7 hours. However, after the first flight I really appreciated the extra space so very much!!"

Cons: "My Baggage came on the next flight and not on the one i boarded which caused a lot of problems"

Cons: "The entertainment system didint work on my seat, the crew on the fligth from China to Bangkok was not friendly, most of they were not smiling."

Cons: "I was flying to Delhi & it was an emergency situation for me bcz i lost my Dad & i was flying to perform the cremation of my Dad. And thing this was informed to the China Southern officials so that they could arrange something for me. I requested them to put me into another flight for which i was ready to pay the whole amount but no one listen to my request & i had to wait so long. I was amazed to see that no one was keen to understand my problem at both he airports i.e. Auckland Airport & Ganzhaou Airport. Apart from this the behavior of your officials was so rude & arrogant it made me feel as if i was a slave or some kind of culprit. Due to the ignorance & laid back attitude on your part i couldn't reach my destination on my time. Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else."
Pros: "They lost my bags for over 48 hours. I had to din my bags myself. I will never use them again."
Couldn’t fly since they wouldn’t issue a boarding ticket. Something to do with not taking the departing flight since it was cancelled due to weather. No notice or anything about the trip being invalid. The app made it seem like I was all good for it. Never trusting travel agency

Cons: "There is no baggage transfer for international connecting flight. No hotel is provided from the airlines for international travelers, transit time is 12hours"
Cons: "The crew is always nice on China Eastern. They seem to be late a lot of the time. We arrived almost 1 hour late. The business lounge is TERRIBLE. Get something to eat in the airport, not in the lounge."
Cons: "I am stranded in Bangkok because the Flight you put me on violated China visa requirements. And I CANNOT get a hold of ANYONE to resolve issue."
Cons: "I can not able to check in from Yangon international airport to SFO due to transit hour is more than 24 hour in china.. I had to cancel flight with $116 cancellation fees which I wasn't satisfied. Without flying anywhere I have to pay for that fee. I will not buying anymore China eastern airline for future."
Pros: "The flight was fairly smooth. There was a good selection of movies."
Cons: "Coming off the plane in Nanjing was frustrating as they were totally unorganized and the plane was delayed because of this. We had to go through customs and recheck everything. We then went back on the same plane to the same seat. Kinda confusing but all in all it was okay."
Cons: "This was one leg of a 3 leg flight to Kathmandu. Whatever the rrason they substituted my contact number for my passport number and wouldn't issue my boarding pass, even showing documentation that the fault was theirs. After what seemed like forever they reluctantly issued the boarding pass after signing some waiver which I couldn't resd as it was in Chinese."
Cons: "Flight was delayed over one hour and gate was changed from one side of the airport to the furthest gate on the other side of the airport with no announcement made. Lack of English spoken or understood by flight attendants, gate agents , and check in counter agents."
Pros: "Cheap ticket fair Crew somewhat friendly despite extremely limited language skills So many empty seats( you will find why below) despite Chinese festival. Boarding to aircraft easy, especially child friendly at SFO. SFO staff quite friendly, at least ours."
Cons: "Overall comment: It’s supposed to be international flight but I and my family, all US CITIZENS had to check in at SFO in the beginning where the staff was very helpful n did her best n told me that I would have to claim baggage one time in China. We had to claim baggages at Qingdao n drag to find hotel with one security guard’s broken English helping me for directions to potential hotels- no help at all otherwise. In the morning, we checked in with all baggages at Qingdao but they refused to do it all the way to KTM. Very very rude n unfriendly staffs. At Kunming, we dragged all baggages with our tired kids n checked in for the third time in one outbound flight n almost had to go through baggage check for lithium battery with the fact that it was the same baggage passing security in SFO then Qingdao and having no lithium inside. It followed a very very painful scrutiny n security which involved my 10 year old, a lot part of which seemed inexperienced n unnecessary. They took my daughters portable charger simply because it was wrapped with fancy tape"
