Cons: "Due to a misunderstanding at check-in we have been seated away from a baby bassinette (although booked) to sit together with my husband, nobody asked what my preference would be (sitting as a whole family or having a bassinette) and a 17-hour flight with a 9month old baby constantly on my lap was challenging. Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

Perhaps not qatar's fault(?) but we bought duty free alcohol in Brussels and took as carry on then after a layover in Doha we were advised Australian regulations prohibited us from taking it on board for the final leg - even though it was still sealed in the duty free bag. We were forced to check it protected only by some lightweight clothing and a thin back pack we had been using as cabin luggage. Fortunately it made it undamaged - but it would be better if we had been informed of this at Brussels."

Cons: "ruin my seat arrangement for no reason! We were traveling as a family of 7 (2 grandparents from each side, my husband, my 4 year son and myself). We paid $30 per person per seat so that we could sit together and watch out for each other because some of the grandparents are in their 80's. However, when we checked in, we found out all our seats were re-arranged and in the worst possible way! Our 4 year old child was assigned in middle seat no where near my husband or myself. In addition, the family was divided in half, separated by the service station. I had switched seat so I can sit with my son but my husband had to sit at the other side of the service station to take care of the other half of the family because they do not speak English. I was left to attend to my 4 year old son by myself, which was hard to do. what bothers me the most is that there seem to be no obvious reason for them to re-arranged seats in such a devastating manner - it was not a full flight at all. I saw quite a few empty seats in the back. We spoke to the woman who was the head of the stewardess about the problem upon boarding, she said she would try to see what she could do, but she never got back to us at all. The seats were horrible seats for a few reason. First, there were a lot of traffic and noise from crew and other passengers because they were next to the Service station. Second, we were always the last one to receive food service because of the location. This is a problem when you have 4 year old and 80 years old who were diabetics."

And when we showed up at the airport, the last leg of my flight had been deleted from my itinerary (but not that of my family members). And guess what? They couldn't do anything about it until I was ready to get on that last flight! The crew were great, but all the behind-the-scenes aspects of Qantas were absolutely horrible. Two days later I'm still reeling from the experience. What a terrible way to treat customers."

While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned. On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day. Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days. I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. I also lost one day of my hotel booking in Auckland and had to forfeit the money. Pros: "I lucked out and was able to get a emergency row seat which helped tremendously because of having long legs."
Cons: "What I don't like is what is true of all airlines now and that is that if you are born with long legs you are penalized and expected to pay more money than people with short legs - that is prejudice and not fair to people that cannot do anything about it. I understand charging obese people extra because they have a chance to change it. Also, seats are too narrow now!!!"

Meal could have been better
We had to go down 4 flights of stairs holding our bags to get to the bottom, to wait for 10 mins for a bus...that took us all across the airport to board our plane. We were about 40 mins delayed on top of that.
Great leg room in economy and the entertainment system has lots of options, I watched a few docs with David Attenborough. the flight crew were wonderful and helpful. I was really impressed with the food, both the main meal and the snack prior to landing. Some of the best food I have had on a flight! Great job Air Canada!

Both flights Mumbai to Frankurt and Frankfurt to Orlando Crew did not check person sitting to me not wearing their masks, masks hung around the neck and not on the nose and mouth! It was uncomfortable for me too even sit there as they chatted the whole time with the Crew and even tried to make conversation with me without mask! I thought Crew was responsible to check people! I ordered special veg meal, it was awful in taste, since I had just travelled same flights to India and was now returning exact same food, I requested if I could exchange for extra meal I was refused I landed up not eating anything! Crew had no courtesy to arrange anything for me in Business class, terrible while another couple siting there who refused to eat from menu food was arranged for them! I was so very disappointed, what's the point traveling Business when they kept me hungry! No masks on people, no food options, I was on 3 flights back to back slept most of time when I woke up they did not even care to offer drinks forget food...all this in Business class on Dec 9th.

Cons: "We were able to upgrade to a business class seat (row 1) just 2 days before the flight since we had put in a bid a month before to do so if it was accepted. Honestly, the seat DID NOT EVEN RECLINE, NOR DID IT FEEL VERY SPACIOUS! I felt very taken advantage of to only have access to that part of the plane giving us more leg room for $200 upgrade for each seat. When does a Business Class seat NOT recline??? At least my flight attendant was kind enough suggesting that I let the airline know about my unhappy experience."

Pros: "Munich airport on other hand. We got to the airport several hours in advanced. Everything from getting a boarding pass to checking and weighing in your own bag was electronically. Long lines and majority of the systems were not working. After trying several machines and being directed into 3 different lines I finally was able to check my bag in. I had to leave my other family members who were flying with me as they were in another line. At the machine to check my bag in , a airport worker ran up to my bag and slammed it onto the ground as well as ripped off my luggage tags. My bag was upright on the conveyer belt instead of on its side , but how rude the airport workers are, is rediculous. After I asked why she did that she just began ordering me around to move my bag after I got my bag through the machine I asked to speak to a manager as the airport worker was extremely rude and unprofessional. No one would give me the time of day and the same airport working out her hand in my face saying repeatedly goodbye in German. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. Trying to get through security a few travelers on a thin patience level started pushing people in line trying to by pass others it was so very chaotic workers had to go in between. Those travelers were complaining, because disabled travelers had a separate line that was faster. The worst airport experience I've ever had. Once on the plane everyone was pleasant. Crew was very helpful and always willing to assists"
Cons: "There was a child on the plane that was screaming and crying on and off for several hours. The parents didn't do anything to keep the child calm. Before we got to Chicago eveyone had to be seatbelt s before landing and the flight attendant asked eveyone to buckle up. The mother of the baby wouldn't listen and began yelling at flight crew. I think the flight crew did a great job, the passenger and child were very disruptive making the flight at times very uncomfortable. I wouldn't suggest infants or toddlers flying for such long trips. No one wants to listen to a child screaming at the top of their lungs."

They checked on him frequently during the rest of the flight and made arrangements to get us assistance off the airplane in Detroit and through the crowded airport in record time in order to get him to the ER as soon as possible. We are so grateful to them for their caring help during what could have been a very embarrassing situation."
