Pros: "the staffs and the boarding experienve"
Pros: "Appreciated check in staff who professionally answered our requests re routine steps to process check in. Only regretted that we weren’t aware (perhaps we missed announcement) that my husband who is still recovering from knee surgery was not aware we could have boarded from the forward entrance and avoid the descent and ascent via rear entry."
Pros: "Agents went above and beyond to help. Wish I had names because I was REAL impressed at how much they helped to get our bags checked. My son had purchased my ticket and not bought luggage voucher. They helped me get online and buy voucher. Would recommend airline to anyone traveling in that part of world."
Cons: "It was a very positive experience. No complaints. I will definately fly Air New Zealand when that is an option."
Cons: "The lack of communication with everything from queuing to board, to food allowance."
Pros: "Crew solid n friendly enough"
Cons: "Seats too tight n cramped"
Cons: "I was connecting on an International flight on same airline, New Zealand Air, and did not see where I was required to pay for our one checked bags for my wife and I. When I checked in on line I was not notified that I should buy the checked backs online so assumed one bag each was free. Instead we were charged $nz120. This is not acceptable and I would like a refund. Please help on this request. Thank you."
Pros: "The regional flights are nice and quick with no frills or complications. Everyone is in one cabin and you can quickly board using kiosks at the gate."
Cons: "You might want to bring a book on this flight or something as their in-flight video and adverts are all you'll really see in terms of entertainment."
Cons: "Bathroom did not work, food was not so tasty"
Pros: "Cabin crew was fantastic! Inflight experience was woderful."
Cons: "Airport personnel were very unhelpful. When I asked them a question, they told me to come back later. I came back at the time they said to and they told me they don’t have time for me. I need to come back another time. I went to another gate agent and she told be to go downstairs to the check in counter for help. That would have taken 2 hours. I called customer service and they answered my question quickly. I just wanted to know if I would be charged a fee to change my flight."
Pros: "Flying over the country of NZ."
Cons: "Crying kids."
Pros: "Attendants were friendly. The agent at the gate rerouted my flight after my initial flight was delayed. She explained she did that so that I could make my international connection in time."
Pros: "The usual "shuttle" flight between chc and akl."
Pros: "Comfy seats, the flight was basically empty so I got my own row. Very nice flight attendants. Pilot kept us updated on timing and storm movement."
Cons: "Flight was delayed twice, seat hadn’t been swept for garbage from the previous flight (wrappers and used tissues in the seat pocket)."
Pros: "Quickest boarding ever - Have hardly seen an airline having people board through the rear entry Super fun safety video All-in-all a great experience"
Pros: "The check-in process was extremely simple and easy. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. They didn't make a huge deal out of small problems, as so many seem to like doing."
Pros: "Very friendly staff, speedy boarding, nice comments from the captain."
Pros: "I was very impressed by the entire experience. Boarding and disembarking at front and at rear of plane, good spacing between seats, cookies, entertainment options... and lovely flight crew. Thank you Air NZ!"
Cons: "Nothing I can think of. Very happy with the flight."
Cons: "Air New Zealand needs to manage double door boarding a little differently - a ticket checker needs to be at the split point - to streams of passengers trying to find their seat in opposite directions just doesn't work."
Pros: "We did not use the food or entertainment"
Pros: "Staff & aircraft were good."
Cons: "Flight was little late but not too bad."
Pros: "Things generally went well on this flight; you never know what you're going to get, and this was successful- all went well!"
Cons: "Wasn't all that bad!"
Pros: "We flew with Air New Zealand a few times during our trip and every flight was absolutely perfect. Staff was nice and helpful, the cabin was comfortable and everything from checking in to walking off the plane was easy."
Pros: "Everything, felt safe"
Pros: "Unlike the American flights, they actually served a light snack (not pretzels and nuts) and offered complementary wine and beer. The ride was pleasant."
Cons: "For the economy passengers, we had to go down a flight of stairs onto the tarmac and then back up on a portable stairs to get onto the plane. The same was true when we were deboarding the plane. This has more to do with the airports than with Air New Zealand."
Pros: "Cabin crew was excellent"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Everything was quite nice."
Cons: "Not much"
Pros: "Extra leg room at front of plane."
Cons: "Seats too narrow."
Pros: "Not a problem, anywhere. For a long day, that is appreciated."
Cons: "departed to late .. nearly missed connecting Auck- Hong Kong. Suitcase was left behind .. will receive 498 hrs later .. not good enough"
Pros: "Free cookie!"
Cons: "Using a 777 meant longer check in time and was much longer arrival time and baggage collection. Meant I was stuck in Auckland traffic because of the extra time"
Pros: "Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Seats were comfortable and roomy. Food was delicious served by real professionals."
Cons: "Waiting for passengers and delaying our flight"
Pros: "Food, service, comfort was all very good."
Pros: "the crew were awesome, the food okay, it's the first time I've been able to say exellent to flying with air new Zealand today, the past trips have been stinkers, there crew really bad, they put us off flying with my own country's airline so sad, the first leg was cancelled because the flight got in late, with no txt or any warning before we got to the gate, so maybe we will just try them again, because this last trip from Christchurch has eased some of the past pain"
Cons: "The baggage handlers destoyed my case, there the same the world over because of the furious pace, they don't care for your posesions weather there precious or not, this is the real sad point when ones flying a lot,"
Pros: "Air New Zealand provided excellent customer Service - from check in to arrival. People make all the difference but their aircraft was awesome."
Pros: "Always the kiwi service"
Pros: "Everything :)"
Cons: "Koru club boards too late. If you're in rows 10 back then all the luggage space is taken."
Pros: "the flight was direct from CHC to MEL and it was on time"
Cons: "Even though i was booked on Air NZ, the flight was operated through Virgin Australia. This was only an issue when i tried to check in at Air NZ and was directed over to Virgin Australia. Once i found the right ticket counter to check in, i found that there was an extra baggage fee of NZ$130 that i had to pay to check my bag. Also, dinner seemed to be included for just about everyone sitting around me, and it was not included for me. I don't remember having the option of booking dinner with my flight. The agent at the Virgin Australia counter mentioned that this often happens when booking flights through the websites that are not the carrier's direct website. I have used others before, and not had these same issues... oh well - i guess that's what i get for booking through FlightNetwork.com. I'll probably go directly to airline websites in the future."
Cons: "Seats and aisles have become so small and tight."
Pros: "The food was good and there was enough room in Economy. The staff was friendly. Lots of movies and shows to choose from. I felt more comfortable on a 12 hour international flight than a 2 hour domestic flight."
Pros: "Great service, entertainment, and the crew was outstanding"
Cons: "The seats are on the small side and feel cramped."
