Cons: "Air port does not have automatic internet connection We were there for 8 hours with no internet because we had no international roaming to receive the PIN via SMS. The four PINS generated by the counter staff did not work. We all took turn to try to no avail. by then we have walked too far from the counter we could not be bother going back. No airport that I've been to had poor internet service connection like this airport, yet it is supposed to be THE WORLD'S NUMBER ONE AIRLINE. We boarded at 11.30pm, last time we flew with them they gave us supper. Last night they gave us only water. We went to sleep hungry till the morning. Since when they started to operate like those cheap airlines that you have to pay for your food? And the night package did not have eye mask.... how could we sleep... ? Singapore airline could learn from Qtar. Very very disappointed."

I did not want to make a big deal, so I just ate it. Then they did not offer any beverages when the meal came! I literally had to beg them to make me their famous “Singapore sling”. Shocking really!!. When I had my coffee, my request for cream and sugar went ignored THREE times. Finally they grudgingly gave me only cream, rendering my coffee undrinkable. .....And the list goes on. Never ever will I travel on this horrid airline again!"

Given we could not even take water brought in the airport into the plane there needed to be regular distributions of fluids on the flight as there was on the flight from London toy Singapore. It is a long flight and being dehydrated on a plane is not a good thing."

Also for business class passengers they don't get into a priority lane as you see in Emirates and other airlines. while Singapore airline is very good, they still lack in the details."

Pros: "To be fair, my rating will be very high due to it being the first time flying Business Class on Singapore Airlines. Unfortunately it was a short flight so I didn't et a chance to experience the whole service properly as I needed. I felt like royalty with the service offered by your staff who consistantly came to check if everything was in order without making a nuisance. Fantastic food and beverage options too. Overall a great experience, but would have liked it to be a 12hr experience instead of 5."

Before boarding, I asked at the gate if my new seat was a window--which is what I paid for--and they confirmed yes, my new seat was a window. Turns out, it was not, it was a middle seat. I asked a flight attendant to relocate me to a window seat, which she kindly did, however this seat was quite uncomfortable as I was seated next to a large gentleman who probably should have been required to purchase two seats. Overall, there were two issues with Qatar Airways during this trip: they did not give me the seat I had requested and paid for, and then lied when I asked if my new seat was a window."

Cons: "When flying from New Zealand to Doha, we departed Auckland at 15h25 and due to the time zone, most passengers body clocks would have been expecting sleep within a few hours. However we were flying West and thus into daylight. Sadly the window seated passengers were not asked to close their window blinds to block out the sunlight and many were left open. This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

NOT GOOD"

Then was told my luggage may not be in Abu Dhabi when I arrive, which it was not. My paid for seat wasn't available and had to sit in the back. Had to fill out a lost luggage report in Abu Dhabi. Was promised my luggage by 4:30 pm . Didn't receive it until 2:30 am next day. Missed my whole first day of vacation as I had no clothes , toiletries, etc . Very angry, and feel I should get a substantial discount on my next flight in March to Dubai. Totally unacceptable !!!!!!!"

Thy have old planes, funny rules about phone use and just awful customer service and disregard for people plans and changes that they make. Never book China airlines. You will regret it I promise you."

Pros: "Better couch legroom than any of the US carries I have flown overseas. Newer plane and attentive flight crew. There was a decent movie and entertainment selection and the meals were reasonably good. Crew was very attentive to keeping the bathrooms clean, which on a long flight is a very nice. Checking staff in Los Angeles to insuring the comfort of a taller customer was excellent."

Even though easily +90% of the passengers were Americans, Australians, New Zealanders and Europeans, and that the flight was between 2 English speaking countries, we were addressed in Mandarin Chinese. Reminds me a bit of Air Canada with their often French bias."

Cons: "rude passenger who refused to put down his arm rest in between us. the food was really bad. our seats got switch after airport check in."
Pros: "I liked most of the crew. They were courteous and attentive. They were also very helpful in getting passengers situated and seated. I also like that when I had an issue with a crew member a manager and her boss both came to talk to me about what happened and offered apologies. They handled the situation with respect and class."
Cons: "There were two things I didn't like. First was that my on board entertainment set top was not working and I had to change seats. Once in a new seat though I was good and comfortable until a crew member had issues with my placement in an empty row that he wanted to use later in the flight to take a nap. What he did next was not nice, lacked communication and almost ruined the long flight for me. If it wasn't for the rest of the crew being great and his managers apologizing and listening to the full complaint I would probably have decided never to take China airlines again. Will I fly China airlines again? Yes, I will."
Pros: "China Airlines was very understanding with my carry-on situation as I had important medical equipment to hand carry."

Cons: "waited for an hour inside the plane for take-off due to damaged airport runway assigned seat had poor leg room as expected when you are in economy was not assigned a seat for connecting flight to LA until we reached Taipei's pre boarding area. when we did we got the last 2 rows in the plane - 71 D & E. Turbulence is more pronounced. My head was shaking"

Cons: "- The plane supposedly has free wifi :) :) :) but this is too good to be true. After a long and complicated procedure “all free wifi passes are gone, try again next time”. Someone said there are only 70 passes for the entire plane. - Similar experience with “free wifi” Guangzhou’s Bayun airport if you don’t have a Chinese simcard in your phone. - Navigating China Southern’s website for online check-in is a nightmare."
Cons: "Gave us false infor for our boarding location and we had to run for boarding to different location when 30 mins left. Very hectic situation."

Cons: "Short flight - no time to get comfortable. Very little to choose from in the entertainment package compared to other airlines. Old plane - need to upgrade (the 777 coming into Guangzhou was much more enjoyable). I have had better food on other airlines, but this was definitely acceptable."

Cons: "I didn't like the crew too much. There were many empty business class seats so I moved to a window and took my pillow with me. They came and took the extra pillow back! Bizarre behavior. My vegetarian meals were not good at all. Couldn't eat them. 2 identical meals for dinner and breakfast."
Pros: "In this sector they provided food which was vegetarian, but salad was having a roll of SALMON FISH and a SHRIMP. I wish to tell them, Fish is not Vegan or Vegetarian. It is considered as Non-Veg food."

Cons: "We had 4 flights with them due to connections. On the longest flight back to the states they wouldn't let anyone use their phone or tablets even though they did on the other flights. There was barely any movies or shows to watch. The crew weren't very polite and spoke very limited english. You couldn't understand anything they announced on the intercom system because is was so distorted. The chicken dinner was disgusting. It looked like chicken in brown jello. The omelet was watery. The rice porridge had no flavor. The bathroom ran out of toilet paper within a couple hours."

Cons: "The new Terminal 3 in Chongqing airport has a lot of space. But walking from the airplane deplane location to the luggage site is more than 700 meters. It is too far to walk in particular for people who can not walk well."

Cons: "Something to be aware of: It's the People's Republic of China. They tell you this in the announcements. You're not supposed to use your cell phone at all in flight, even in airplane mode. Some government inspectors went through my checked suitcase and removed a lithium power pack and left me a note."

Cons: "They don't allow cell phone use in airplane mode at anytime during the flight. China has a law against cellphone use on planes and they enforce it in international airspace and over other countries's airspace as well. This is a violation of passengers' rights."

Prompt and efficient boarding. New MH-awards streaming worked first time on my personal device.
Personable, friendly service. Crew interactions always naturally pleasant and polite. The crew really enjoy their job and interactions with one another. Public Addresses are all smooth, clear and unambiguous - this instils confidence. Landing was butter-smooth in what seemed to be challenging and turbulent conditions - Kudos to the flight crew. Boarding and airport experience were good also.

I’m not one to complain about airline food but the “meal” served was execrable, possibly the worst in 65 years of flying. And no alcohol on an international flight was niggardly in my estimation.. The flight from Penang to KL they had the cheek to serve a tiny cup of fake orange juice. I will avoid Malaysian in the future."

Pros: "I like the interior of the plane and the comfortable seats. I also appreciate the crew's warmth and efficiency. It was a very short flight hence I truly appreciate the snack and drinks provided and especially the fabulous ice cream treat on the return flight. I would certainly consider taking MAS again in future (this was my first MAS flight), despite the one glitch (please see what I didnt like) if the price is right."
Cons: "I had only one large backpack to be checked in (due to the minimum liquid that can be brought) and it was left at the airport somehow by whoever who was handling it. Waited for more than an hour at KLIA for it and finally made a loss baggage report. The staff at the loss baggage counter was only helpful after finding out that I am not a Malaysian. Needless to say, my bag flew on SQ and was rushed to my hotel 5 and half hours after landing. I also did not receive a copy of the baggage delivery report."
