Cons: "No vegetarian food option. Seat uncleaned. Last seat on plane separate from family with people constantly standing next to and bumping at toilets - little consideration fro Covid-19"

When I suggest to a staff member that perhaps they should keep customers informed, they said they couldn’t because they didn’t know. They helpfully suggested I google for information! Seriously!"

Cons: "The seats were much too close together for any comfort. Quite frankly, I booked with Qantas because I heard it was a good airline and comfortable. Riding on AA was NOT comfortable. If I wanted to ride AA, I would have booked them."

Pros: "Rob Cumming was the supervisor crew for our section. He was very good at trying to compensate for the big problems that Qantas had created for us."
Cons: "ruin my seat arrangement for no reason! We were traveling as a family of 7 (2 grandparents from each side, my husband, my 4 year son and myself). We paid $30 per person per seat so that we could sit together and watch out for each other because some of the grandparents are in their 80's. However, when we checked in, we found out all our seats were re-arranged and in the worst possible way! Our 4 year old child was assigned in middle seat no where near my husband or myself. In addition, the family was divided in half, separated by the service station. I had switched seat so I can sit with my son but my husband had to sit at the other side of the service station to take care of the other half of the family because they do not speak English. I was left to attend to my 4 year old son by myself, which was hard to do. what bothers me the most is that there seem to be no obvious reason for them to re-arranged seats in such a devastating manner - it was not a full flight at all. I saw quite a few empty seats in the back. We spoke to the woman who was the head of the stewardess about the problem upon boarding, she said she would try to see what she could do, but she never got back to us at all. The seats were horrible seats for a few reason. First, there were a lot of traffic and noise from crew and other passengers because they were next to the Service station. Second, we were always the last one to receive food service because of the location. This is a problem when you have 4 year old and 80 years old who were diabetics."

Cons: "The plane had small drop down screens every 4 or 5 rows which are totally inadequate for watching anything. gives no choice and poor sound quality (lag between vision and sound) Pork meal was some sort of tasteless slop in a cardboard box with rice and a green veg. It seem as if short flights are getting a raw deal with old planes and sub standard food, systems to save costs. If they cannot maintain a consistent level of standard across all their products let another provider in who can."

Cons: "Every other flight I had on my holiday I was give an exit row or extra seating as I am 6ft5in. Not with Qantas. I even lined up 5 hours prior to flight. Nothing special about this flight unfortunately."

Pros: "Very little. Even though I'm sure I wasn't suppose to, my seat allowed me to put my feet up on the wall. At least I was able to elevate them a bit."
Cons: "First, the flight was delayed an hour and a half. No gate was announced until just before boarding. Afraid of missing my flight, I didn't doze even though I had been awake for 20 hours at this point. Once I got on the plane, the seats were so small in economy my hips were pressed against the arm rests and I am not a large person. The man next to me was pressing through over to my side. We both had difficulty opening the tray for meals because they were in the arm rests (not that it mattered, we were never served good). The controls for the entertainment and lights were in the arm rests as well and there was no way to see them because your thighs were pressed against them. The screen for my entertainment was crooked and flickered. The charging port did not work for my cell phone. The earphone jack had to be wiggled and wiggled and then I had to hold my leg perfectly still not to bump it. I eventually gave up trying to use the entertainment screen. I preordered my meal online, but waiting for dinner, already exhausted, I dozed off. I didn't get dinner and no one came around the rest of the trip and offered any refreshments. No water, no snack, nothing. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure I saw a crew member for the rest of the flight."

Cons: "the poor boarding control and information. delayed boarding time and no-one from Qantas at gate until 45 minutes past the time scheduled on ticket and no communication of why nor when we would board. new passengers arriving were allowed to start getting in at gate before notifying us who had been waiting there to be told to get in or in what order. seat arm rest (between seat 58b and 58c) was wobbly. Entertainment movies need newer choices specially for people like me who can't sleep on long flights and have seen all this movies. where's the classical music?."
Pros: "As I stated previously, I am blind and found the special assistance Qantas offers invaluable. Every crew member I interacted with was polite, thoughtful, warm, attentive, and extremely helpful."

Not wanting to post a gloomy picture as the staff area nearly always friendly and great. These guys were also. Perhaps they were tired."

Cons: "I'm a qantas frequent flyer and have always been loyal. But next trip, I will try a different carrier (Etihad, Emirates even Singapore). Standards have slipped, customer care is lacking. I heard this from people I was sitting with as well, so not just my opinion."
Pros: "The crew manager worked tirelessly to move rows of passengers to other seats because the entertainment system didn't work for a bank of passengers on the long haul flight."
