Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Ordered a vegan meal for flight companion pre-flight; we *both* received a vegan meal (it seems like people with incompatible diets cannot book their flights together). Flight seemed to have run out meals since a random third person in my row requested an extra meal and was told they were out. Flight etiquette of other passengers would have been nice; for example, it was also fairly unsafe for a father and child to keep walking up and down the aisles, let alone the bumping into people they kept doing."
Pros: "On time. Like the 787."
Cons: "The vegetarian evening meal."
Pros: "We paid $400CAD as a OneUp bid to upgrade to Skycouch. We then saw there was a skycouch row free on the plane, and I appreciated that they gave the first choice of this row to paying customers. So we ended up with two skycouch rows, one per person. Was a dream flight, could not fault them."
Cons: "It was the shortest flight of my itinerary. My last flight home. We sat on the plane for nearly 45 minutes before take off and it was late getting home. Totally ridiculous. Every flight in and out of Eugene is ridiculous like that"
Pros: "The crew was great but the seats were not."
Cons: "Roomier seats and meals should be served a little bit closer in between"
Pros: "Seat hard on older aircraft, needs new cushioning on seat"
Pros: "Good entertainment. Flight tracker kept breaking."
Cons: "They don't come around with beverages hardly ever (twice on 13 hour flight) and they tend to skip the window seats. They tried to kick me off an overbooked flight even though I paid extra for a picked seat and booked months ago. Mediocre food. Tiny seats and I'm only 5'5". Will never fly again."
Pros: "Everything was good except....."
Cons: "The departure gate lounge for connecting flight to Vancouver was terrible.... very overcrowded, making for an unpleasant wait and boarding experience."
Pros: "Flying on the plane with mighty KORU on the tail always gives me a buzz"
Cons: "Better meal as the meat dish was a bit cold when it arrived."
Cons: "Do not ever forget or decide not to book a checked in bag on Air NZ when booking your ticket on line. You have a bag to check at the airport they will not tell you it is $30 or $40 but gouge you for $160au. That is a total rip off and they should be embarrassed to ask for that excessive amount."
Pros: "Amazing airline and seem less travel"
Pros: "Bulk head seats were great."
Cons: "It would have been nice if it had not been almost 2 hours late!"
Pros: "Punctual flight, great boarding and great baggage service."
Cons: "Bag drop could be improved with more personnel to help."
Pros: "flight crew are good, other general categories are average."
Cons: "Boarding in both Sydney-Auckland & Auckland-Vancouver are disorganized. No clear indication of when & where to line up. No flight delay message to explain when boarding time was long overdue. In particular, for the Auckland - Vancouver flight, one ground staff was telling economy passengers (in rather rude express) they were in the wrong line except there was never announcement. Overall, disappointed."
Pros: "Small puddle jumper, but everything was well organized."
Pros: "Good food"
Cons: "Why so cold in the cabin!"
Pros: "Pinot noir"
Cons: "No temp control, a little stuffy"
Pros: "All round excellent - great service, food et al."
Pros: "Good seat, very pleasant crew."
Cons: "No entertainment so can't score that. Basic snacks"
Pros: "Please read notes above -"
Pros: "The airport was great! Very easy access, fast check in and security. Loved the LOTR theme. Uneventful and beautiful flight."
Cons: "Everything was great"
Pros: "Clean modern plane, on-time, nice Regional lounge"
Pros: "nil"
Cons: "nil"
Pros: "Crew complete meals and drinks efficiently so passengers can settle quickly for night flight"
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful Flight attendants. Food was good."
Pros: "Booked these flights though Kayak. Landing from LAX at 0730 at Auckland international terminal and then departing at 0900 from the domestic terminal. This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"
Cons: "Not enough time booked by kayak between an international arrival and domestic departure"
Cons: "Unable to check-in online because of an international connection. Also, we need to pay extra for everything."
Pros: "Can't say enough about how good the experience was. It felt like business class, except the seat doesn't transform into a flat bad. Service, meals, amenities, washrooms, etc. were amazing. Also, the flight times AKL-YVR and YVR-AKL are so civilized! You leave each city around dinner time, you dine, you watch a movie, sleep as much as you want, have breakfast, and then it's time to land! Way better than other options that leave at odd times."
Cons: "I can't think of anything to improve. NZ really rocked the flight and the Premium Economy product."
Pros: "We flew Air Canada’s Economy Plus from Vancouver to Sydney and Air New Zealand’s Economy Plus from Auckland back to Vancouver. NZ’s Economy Plus product is far and above AC’s. Everything from the welcome, to the meal, to the level of service is great. I really felt that NZ treated the Econ Plus cabin as distinct from Economy (including having 2 dedicated washrooms), whereas on AC it felt like we were merely Economy with better seats. I compare NZ and AC because we were so genuinely impressed with what we purchased. We would definitely book NZ Econ Plus again, and the January seat sale is a great time to do so!"
Cons: "I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. NZ gets this product right."
Pros: "Everything ❤❤❤"
Cons: "We had to take a connecting flight from Paris and British Airlines were very inconsistent with their hand carry policy which gave me so much stress."
Pros: "Comfortable flight and service"
Pros: "Great food, wine, service Seats"
Cons: "no wifi"
Cons: "Crew"
Pros: "Nearly always enjoy flying Air NZ and this was no exception. Friendly efficient service."
Cons: "Not getting a choice of meal due to being last row of seats."
Pros: "Wonderful service from the ground crew. They went beyond the call of duty. Excellent experience. Thanks to everyone"
Pros: "The space sllocated is grossly inadequate security is overcrowed Dave not aware of poor image this gives thr city that of a rural enclave"
Cons: "Ovetcrowed no space"
Cons: "Nobody believes in offering decent food anymore. Flying was so much better 25 yrs ago. Soon we will have to pay to use the toilet."
Cons: "Using a 777 meant longer check in time and was much longer arrival time and baggage collection. Meant I was stuck in Auckland traffic because of the extra time"
Pros: "The best service I've ever had with seamless rebooking and escorted followthrough to make my return flight. Even my luggage made it throughout the short interval layovers!"
Pros: "I was in Premium Economy and everything was wonderful! The food the entertainment system and extra legroom (with a leg rest!) was fantastic! I slept so well!"
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "I liked the fact that the flight was non-eventful."
Cons: "I was "upgraded " to a seat facing a bulkhead, so leg room wasn't an issue. However, I missed the last half hour of my movie, because the screen had to be put back into the arm rest for landing."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly. Boarding and replanting was smooth and efficient."
Cons: "Seats were tiny. Arm rests did not rise. Seats barely tilted back. You had to fight with the touch screen entertainment system to get it to do anything. Also it seemed like we sought out the most turbulent altitude possible."
Pros: "Unlike a trip on Air New Zealand several years ago, there is actually enough leg room now so knees don't push into the seat in front. That is a huge improvement! The airplane we flew in this trip was a nice new one, very well designed."
Cons: "No complaints! Air New Zealand really seems to be putting forward a god effort, and it shows. Hope they keep up these service standards and improvements over the past."
Pros: "The accommodations were unexpected and amazing!"
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "Service was excellent , food was very good. Comfortable. Flight."
Cons: "This was a connecting flight with NZ with a 9 hour layover in Auckland. Going to Auckland carry on allowance 10Kg in agreement with website. From Auckland to Melbourne carry on weight limit 7 Kg. WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT YOUR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS WHO FLY MULTIPLE LEGS WITH NZ."
Pros: "Being almost home"
Cons: "The quality of care they give everyone that rides the plane"
Pros: "I love Air NZ, near new 777, spacious, noise wasn't bad, excellent staff. Decent food choices for dinner, breakfast was merely OK. Infotainment was top notch on the new Boeing, but lots of unique Air NZ content too. All my 4 domestic flights on A320s the previous week with Air NZ were top notch too."
Cons: "No way to pay to get in to the lounge for a day pass if you dont have airline status. I got accustomed to having it traveling with a coworker with access, but flying solo, in Auckland, no status, no access, would have gladly paid for the privilege."
