Only regretted that we weren’t aware (perhaps we missed announcement) that my husband who is still recovering from knee surgery was not aware we could have boarded from the forward entrance and avoid the descent and ascent via rear entry."

My son had purchased my ticket and not bought luggage voucher. They helped me get online and buy voucher. Would recommend airline to anyone traveling in that part of world."

I need to come back another time. I went to another gate agent and she told be to go downstairs to the check in counter for help. That would have taken 2 hours. I called customer service and they answered my question quickly. I just wanted to know if I would be charged a fee to change my flight."

Cons: "The plane had small drop down screens every 4 or 5 rows which are totally inadequate for watching anything. gives no choice and poor sound quality (lag between vision and sound) Pork meal was some sort of tasteless slop in a cardboard box with rice and a green veg. It seem as if short flights are getting a raw deal with old planes and sub standard food, systems to save costs. If they cannot maintain a consistent level of standard across all their products let another provider in who can."

Food was not great but we we were not offered anything to drink not even water with the meal until we had finished eating. I know crew works hard but that seemed a time management problem. There is no service involved plonking down a tray. Water could be included."

Very coordinated, very well setup and prepared. The stewards were wonderful. Food and service outstanding through the entire 13hr flight."

Head phone jack is inside the seat arm rest which made it awkward when adjusting. No standard head phone jack but a converter is provided."

Pros: "First time I flew Qantas and it was a flight from Melb- Dubai and then Dubai - London. I sat in row 62 and the food three times the food selection had run out the fruits and beef curry. I wasn't able to check in online which was quite annoying. The crew from Melb-Dubai were fantastic. So friendly and talkative and I think one was called Jordan."

Cons: "The reason for an OK overall is that I left a personal item on the flight. I contacted the airline an hour after my flight landed and they showed no urgency to recover my item that had a lot of value to me. If they could have pages the cleaning crew on the ground, I'm sure I would have recovered my notebook. Instead they told me to check 4 hours later. When i did check 4 hours later, they told me to check in 2-3 days. When i checked in 2-3 days they asked if I filed a report. Which I wanted to on the same day but was told not needed. Very disappointing ground services."

Pros: "the staff were exceptional. I was in a bright area trying to sleep. I had my beanie pulled over my eyes. the staff asked if they could suspend a blanket above my head between the two seats to shield the light."

Cons: "I ordered gluten free food and it was really bad. 1 fresh apple in the 24 hour flight. For some reason, the people who design this food think that just because a person is gluten free, you can give them the worst gluten free bread! Just leave out the bread and make the food a bit more fresh and interesting."

Cons: "I found a few of the air hostesses to be extremely rude and abnoxious towards foreign travelers on the flight who weren't native English speaking. I felt they had zero tolerance and patience and to me this was very unprofessional in the way the my carriend themselves. I also feel for the price of the flight, the aircraft was tiny with not many bathroom facilities which was odd for an international flight."

Pros: "The cabin crew were very friendly and attentive. The food and mid flight snacks were delicious and free, the on-board entertainment was extremely diverse, entertaining and free, the offer of a glass of wine with my meal was delightful and having a bottle of water waiting in my seat pocket was very thoughtful and much needed during mid-flight. Quantas may not be as high tech as some of its sister airlines but the basic needs of its passengers are met without fanfare or need to fuss around with price lists and coupons and wether or not you have a debit card, credit card, visa or mastercard, cash or indeed, no card or cash at all. Quantas is my airline of choice and they have delivered every time."
