The only vegetarian food is also vegan, this primarily consisted of tiny trays of overbuild veg that must have contained about 150 calories, after about 12 hours I felt like I was literally starving. As I'd been stuck in the middle seat going to the galley to request snacks was difficult. I would buy your own food in the airport.

No individual entertainment screens on this flight. Would have been nice to know beforehand.
Cons: "Love that they fly an a380 into christchurch - a bit overkill but was told it is cheaper to overnight the plane in christchurch vs Sydney or Melbourne"
Pros: "The crew could be less curt and more engaging. Coming from Guest Services in hospitality, leisure and tourism it is obvious that body language and sincere engagement stands out. That wasn’t the case for the Qantas flight."
Cons: "I was unable to checkin or select seats. Understandably this is governed by immigration laws and not airlines but on three attempts I was able to pay for the seats without a receipt only to learn later that the charge did not go through. A little bit of transparency never costs anyone."

Pros: "It was my first A380 flight, and overall I was disappointed relative to the Dreamliner. Yet it stands out as a positive the way that Qantas has configured business class on the upper deck. It's quite peaceful. The staff was pleasant, but could have been more attentive. It felt like some cared and others did not."
Cons: "I have flown millions of miles with Qantas, but it's been more than 10 years since my last flights. My expectations were high and i the end I only felt "OK" about the experience. The seats are not competitive with other business classes in the sky. I realize that is about to change. I flew Air Canada into Australia, and while my seat was unfortunately broken, the capabilities and overall comfort of their seats is far superior to Qantas. The business class lounge in Sydney had very poor food options in my opinion, and I was quite peckish after having skipped lunch to travel to the airport for a 4pm flight. The food options on the flight were much better, though overall options / taste were just OK."
Pros: "Cabin crew were helpful and updated us on connections in Melbourne (although they wouldn't have needed to do this if the flight hadn't have left late)."
Cons: "Flight was late and this was significant as I had a tight connection in Melbourne. There did not seem to be a good reason it was late as the aircraft was already at Launceston. They just towed it to the gate late! No announcements were made as to the lateness of the flight until the departure time had actually passed."

Cons: "Changed our seats. We were not put next to each other. Reservations did a horrible job, could not get any information from them on my booking. The rebooking procedures were handled poorly. People with connections should have been handled separately and in a different way. Some people got rescheduled on earlier flights than we were told but did not know about it so many missed their rescheduled flights."

I paid extra to fly with Qantas because it's usually a better experience but this was poor compared to past flights. My tray table was broken and kept falling down. My boyfriend had a lot of technical issues with his TV. Boarding was done poorly as it was a bit of a free for all. And the food was very bad."

No organisation what so ever. I waited in a queue that switched staff twice and when i got to the front i was advised that it was break time and she didn't know who was replacing her. I was called over by another staff member at a different queue. Another passenger jumped in. Someone then manned my original queue who called over the person that was originlally behind me. The passnger advised that I was first but the staff memeber rudely told me to wait. The other passenger insisted so I was finally served. Terrible and frustrating experience"

Cons: "My husband had booked seats together for us and then got bumped sitting rows away from each other, bumped again sitting closer which we were then able to sit together as the seat next to mine was empty, cramped with very little leg room and I’m only 5’1 the poor guy sitting behind me was 6’11 and asked me to warn him if I put my seat back, I felt so bad for him thAt I didn’t which meant I couldn’t get comfortable to sleep, long night."

Cons: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Cons: "100 degree plans before taking off for mechanical reasons. Upon arrival it looked like a refugee camp in baggage claim area. A bunch of bags unclaimed scattered about. The screen said carousel 12 and confirmed it with local reps and then after waiting for a while some passenger says "if you're coming from Charlotte the bags are at 11, that's where I found mine". The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."
Cons: "Arrived in Charlotte and tried to get on an earlier flight to Richmond. Was willing to pay a change fee. Even though there were empty seats, I was told that change fee was unavailable for my reservation. I talked to 3 different people on the phone and was given 3 different reasons as to why. 3 different gate people also said there was nothing they could do and there were no supervisors to help. Another person at the counter (who I believe was a supervisor) was able to override and get me on the 2nd (of 3 flights with empty seats)."

Pros: "The entire crew pre-boarding and in flight were extremely friendly and nice and seemed to have a good raport with each other. The last time I flew, I took Frontier from LGA to Denver and the staff on Frontier's flight were very rude and dismissive towards passengers. It was so refreshing to fly American Airlines and be greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff!"
