Cons: "The seat's recline button was broken which meant having to sit for 12+ hours upright. Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

Pros: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Cons: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

Flight was scheduled to take off at 1210 pm, delayed to 1510, delayed again to 1700 then delayed to 2110 and hen finally boarded at 2230 but the flight did not take off for an additional 2 hours making the total flight delay 12+ hours. My mom did not speak English and the staff at the boarding gate would not provide her a translator nor where they willing to talk to us over the phone to assist her. I understand that delays happen but the lack of assistance and multiple delays was alarming (with clear weather). Air Canada device over the phone was unprofessional as well when I called to discuss the lack of assistance we received."

Time to hire new blood, get new, fresh looking uniforms, and there definitely should be a weight limit, I have seen flight attendants who have to turn sideways to get down the aisle comfortably, what on earth would they do in an emergency. Yes size does matter. Look to JAP airlines for style and dignity in the job. Having said that I love Air Canada and fly it as often as possible home."

I understand the rules of the internet fare (no returns, exchanges or cancellations) but the customer service was awful. They didn't offer me any other alternative but to loose full value of the ticket ($1700). Nobody (kayak, vayama, air canada or brussel airlines) gave me any kind of information about those new requirements and I ended up cancelling the whole trip as I couldn't find any other flight to get to Europe. Really upsetting...."

But, I was very disappointed that they only know and follow the rules in their book. Dumping the luggage and wallet on the floor and then asked me to put everything back was not gonna help you find anything. They need to be bit smart and have some people skills. I mean a car salesman is smarter than this custom officer. I walked in for random screening with great respect for those officers but walked out with zero respect and maybe worse experience of my life. If you mistreat a innocent person just have a courtesy to say sorry or give them a stuffed canadian bear. We can understand!! One last thing for custom or border officers, treat the people the way you wanted to be treated."

Cons: "I was very unhappy that I could not sit with my husband both ways when we booked the flight together. And we got middle seats which we hate and requested aisle seats. We were also initially placed extremely far away and I was able to change seats to at least being closer, but not together. There was a couple that was throwing a fit that they weren't sitting together in my husband's aisle. The water they provided came from a pitcher and not a bottle and it tasted nasty. I did ask for hot tea on one of the flights and was told they had nothing hot. My tray table was dirty. Sticky stuff on the buckle of the seatbelt. Used plastic cup by my seat when boarding."
Cons: "No snack."
Pros: "Easy upgrade to a seat with more room without a crazy up charge, super friendly and accommodating staff (both at gate and on flight), smooth ride from start to finish, and very quick turnover to board us after a late arrival plane. All in all, a comfortable experience!!"
Pros: "Okay flight, nothing special."
Cons: "Food?"
Pros: "The price, kayak beat every other website. Glad my friend suggested I try using it."
Cons: "Sometimes a little bit confusing for which airline im suppose to go when there was a connecting flight."
Pros: "I liked the comfort and the service"
Cons: "the long delay in Montreal"
Cons: "Bag was given wrong tag # by check in attendant and went to wrong airport. Has been extremely hard to track down"
Cons: "I needed Some help with my bag for the overhead bin and the flight attendant didn't help me properly and they said it was too heavy and another got angry and said we will charge you for this next time . If they had helped me with the bag it would not have needed to be checked in and there was certainly no need to be rude about it"
Pros: "Left on time, arrived ontime, luggage made it"
Cons: "Despite having checked-in online, entered passport and global/precheck info, and used the kiosk at the airport to verofy passport, etc checking luggage was a huge inefficient mess. I've never seen this at a US airport on a US carrier."
Pros: "We actually arrived alive."
Cons: "We arrived into London so late that we were forced to take a taxi at a huge expense. During the 3 hr delay the only food provided was a small bag of pretzels and water."
Pros: "That we arrived on time"
Cons: "The food was terrible, the service was grumpy, and one of the carts hit my shoe so hard that it tore it."
Cons: "Traveling with 2 adults, a 3 year old and 1 year old, we had to ask to get our seats next to each other's for each flight at the desk. For both our family and other passenger it would make more sense to get that covered beforehand."
Cons: "I had legal rights to, as I tried to explain to the agents. They dismissed and mocked me, until 3 hours later. By that time I had missed my flight."
Pros: "Very nice people, seats large enough"
Cons: "impossible to work on my computer, plug without enough power turn off automatically"
Pros: "I enjoyed the efficiency and friendliness of the crew and the timliness of the flights themselves as well as the boarding process."
Cons: "First flight: My headphones didn't work with the entertainment system and the only other option to watch what was on the tv was to purchase headphones. Also, the movie skeleton was somewhat limited. Also, it was a longer flight but there was no free food option"
Pros: "Some of the members of the crew were so nice"
Cons: "SFO to Montreal: no complimentary food; not even nuts. I was forced to check in my bag because it wouldn't fit in the tiny sizer."
Cons: "your app is useless because it didn't even notify me on the changes to my flight."
Cons: "The complimentary earphones provided on the flight were the worst ear buds I have ever worn and were extremely uncomfortable. If you're going to make it so passengers cannot use their own earphones without the sound being distorted, then please upgrade your earphones to something more comfortable. My ears were sore the whole flight trying to readjust the ear buds."
Pros: "We checked in late and therefore weren't able to get seats together. At the ticket counter, we asked to get put together and were able to get these seats."
Cons: "As with all coach seats, they were cramped."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "They did not let my mom board the flight because she didn't know she was supposed to get a transit visa just for passing through Canada. Since, other countries don't do that shouldn't they warn it when somebody is buying a ticket. The ticket was bought online and the questionnaire clearly asked nationality!"
Cons: "They kept us in the airplane 3 hours before"
Pros: "Delayed, lied about carry on priveleges, loaded and left passengers on plane at gate over an hour while waiting for a pilot, flew to destination knowing we would likely be diverted, diverted to another airport, waited in line 3 hours to be rebooked, offered no hotel, $10 voucher, awake 24 hours, arrived at destination 16 hours late"
