Cons: "Once made, the lie flat seats are extremely comfortable. However, it's a bit of a hassle to get the bed made. Also the seats don't offer as much privacy as seats on other carriers (AA, UA, LH etc). If they changed the seats, the airline can compete with any other, as the crews are superb."

Also, the calzone breakfast was pretty bad. But other than that, the flight to LAX was ok. The entertainment system, as usual, was excellent, and we had room enough to stretch out during the long flight."

Cons: "My neighbor in a 4 seat section kept elbowing me. Seats seemed to be too close to each other and for people who aren't average weight it is hard for them to stay within their given space. Eating meals was difficult because some people use their elbows all over the place."

Pros: "Air New Zealand plane was newer and crew was helpful and gracious. Connection to Glasgow was a disaster mostly caused by our airline changing to British Airways to Glasgow. Because our LAX yo LHR flight arrived a bit late, we missed our flight to GLA and had to wait nine hours to get seats on another flight from LHR to GLA. No accomodations were made for us. We had to manage nine hours in LHR with a 4 year-old -- we had no other choice."

I was offered a window seat, which i hate, without considering to give me an upgrade. I was given 5,000 Qantas points, i don't know if they can be moved to my AVIOS."

Pros: "The Qantas lounge in Singapore is very nice. Nothing special relative to some others like Cathay, but lots of showers and good food are the key for a stopover, and the Qantas Lounge has that. The meal options are better out of Singapore than coming in to Singapore, The "order ahead" breakfast concept, where you place your order for breakfast when you board has it pros and cons. The personal service is nice, but one needs to know almost 12 hours ahead of time what they feel like eating. Overall a positive, but for me, it's hard for me to anticipate my appetite. It was my first A380 flight (together with the Sydney - Singapore leg), and overall I was disappointed relative to the Dreamliner. Yet it stands out as a positive the way that Qantas has configured business class on the upper deck. It's quite peaceful."

I feel like I had more comfortable seats 15 years ago on BA, and the world has come a long way since then. The planned upgrades are sorely needed."

Cons: "I left my jacket on the plane and didn't notice until I'd gone through customs (about 20 minutes after leaving the plane). There was NO way to contact Quantas or go back or do anything to get my clothing back. No one at the airport had any suggestions for me. The airport phone that dialed Quantas was only for frequent flyer point inquiries. I have now been trying for a full day (three phone calls with zero helpfulness) to see if anything can be done. I understand that I made the mistake of forgetting my items but the 17 hour flight left me a bit spacey. I am super frustrated."

Software programmers had either failed to put in a "home" icon / link on the Kids home page. Also, turning system off, and leaving it off for 3+ minutes did not do so either; this likely a failure of software designers to specific such or system itself not functioning per design."

Cons: "I had a flight Auckland-London, booked through Emirates but operated by Qantas. The flight got to London with a delay of 2 hours 20 min, because they made us wait 2 hours 20 min more than planned in Dubai, where incidentally all the other Emirates flights had no delay, only our Qantas one. This made me lose my next flight (to Luxembourg) and have to pay for a new flight and stay that night in London. Since I had booked them separately, no one helped or offered any compensation."

Cons: "Entertainment system on our section of the Qantas A330-200 had failed and was not operational for the entire trip. This meant no movies, no music, no safety video or announcements and no flight map for the entire journey of almost 8 hours. Crew were not very responsive to this and it seemed like a low priority vs everything else they were doing. After almost 2 hours and complaingpts from a number of the 24 passengers impacted, they did a "soft and hard reset" of the system which did nothing. Initially crew suggested they had an alternative (Tablets) but subsequently denied this. I felt they had already handed these out and did not hav enough. Having been the very first person to raise this issue (10 mins before the flight was to leave), I felt I should have been offered one, but clearly they did not do so. Altogether pretty disgusted with crew attitude and responsiveness. We also felt the food was of very poor quality too - it was too salty and what should have been crisp was soggy. We will NEVER fly Qantas again (even a code share)."

Cons: "The title says it all. This is the first time I ever flew Qantas, and I will try to never fly with them again. I saw one of the old, battle ax stewardesses actually physically shove an elderly Chinese woman who was wandering the aisle before leaving the gate. I mean, the woman should have been in her seat, but that was no reason to body-check her like Wayne Gretzky (or Ron Barassi, take your pick)! Totally unprofessional."

By the time the meal cart came to ou row, all the got meals was out and we have no choice and was served with the cold ham salad that looks like left overs, both my son and I lost our appetite looking at it. The crew didn't apologize and gave the impression that we either take it or too bad. Won't be recommending this airline."

Pros: "First time I flew Qantas and it was a flight from Melb- Dubai and then Dubai - London. I sat in row 62 and the food three times the food selection had run out the fruits and beef curry. I wasn't able to check in online which was quite annoying. The crew from Melb-Dubai were fantastic. So friendly and talkative and I think one was called Jordan."
