Pros: "Boarding from an obscure gate, then being bused quite a long way to the plane was slow and tedious. There were many queues and delays along the way and the plane was late leaving. Food was not great but we we were not offered anything to drink not even water with the meal until we had finished eating. I know crew works hard but that seemed a time management problem. There is no service involved plonking down a tray. Water could be included."

Cons: "I left my jacket on the plane and didn't notice until I'd gone through customs (about 20 minutes after leaving the plane). There was NO way to contact Quantas or go back or do anything to get my clothing back. No one at the airport had any suggestions for me. The airport phone that dialed Quantas was only for frequent flyer point inquiries. I have now been trying for a full day (three phone calls with zero helpfulness) to see if anything can be done. I understand that I made the mistake of forgetting my items but the 17 hour flight left me a bit spacey. I am super frustrated."

I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."

Legroom was cramped -- As a 6'2" (188 cm) man, I always have request aisle seating but was given a middle row seat. These should be reserved for shorter passengers only who do not require many ups and downs from their seats during the flight. No one should have to pay to choose a seat ahead of time! Except Qantas, I've never seen an airline charge to choose a regular, non-premium seat. That is ridiculous to charge $30, especially when the airfare was over $1300."

Because I upgraded to business class
It was as comfortable as a 12 hour flight can be. The upgrade (premium economy) was the best idea I have ever had. I had trouble understanding all of the stewards accents so sometimes I would just nod my head yes or no and see what would happen. 🙃 The personal monitor kept me entertained. The one problem I had was getting a cup of hot water for my chamomile tea bag. It took 3 requests and 45 minutes. If that's the worst I'd say, "good job British!"

Also the boarding was delayed without giving specific reason almost 50 min later. Finallly they said the boarding was delayed to catering and cleanning, which I could not believe since the plane has been on a tarmac close to an hour. Passengers were lining up to board, but one of the gate agent kept asking to sit down without giving any reason. Probable one of the worst boarding experience I have ever had in international flights."

Cons: "BA used to be one of my three favorite airlines, especially the international. Sat on tarmac for over 2 hours because no one thought to load luggage of a couple hundred people or de-ice the wings for the sprinkle of snowflakes that terrified London. Cancelled our first flight to London a few hours before we were to leave home and after two hours on the phone, we were instructed to cancel our remaining flights and purchase a connecting flight to our destination ON OUR OWN DIME with the hope BA May reimburse. Had to fly into another COUNTRY, pay for our own hotel room and transfers and got to our final destination a day later, with only crossed fingers BA will take care of some of those expenses or at very least reimburse for the cancelled flight. They Lost our luggage on the way home because of a 2-hour delay (tarmac story above^), because they involved 3 airlines in their efforts to help us connect back home. Staff and crew we saw face to face were great to help...though not all customers shared that experience as we witnessed. Administratively, based on our 2 weeks of multi-country travel with them, BA seems to have lost the ability to manage themselves. 2.5 hour flight from Rome to London has terrible service and we had to ask for water to drink. Everything else was paid...I’m accustomed to that on regionals Euro commuter flights but very surprising on a full-fledged BA plane covering that distance. So many extra inches given to the thirty folks in first and business that commoners get sardine seats across the pond to America. That being said, the seats themselves are plenty comfortable withthe exception of arm rests that do not fully position upright. BA used to make you feel incredibly fortunate to fly with them. Now, I appreciate the crew who worked very hard to make-up for such an ugly delay on the ground and in baggage and flightbmanagement. The rest left me with a migraine."

Cons: "I usually enjoy the BA flight from London to Austin, but this flight was extremely uncomfortable. The seats were cramped, and when the woman in front of me leaned her seat back, I didn't have enough space on my tray table to even keep a laptop fully open. The food (chicken casserole) was also terrible, and the airline ran out of other lunch options by the time they got to the back row where I was seated."

I usualy choose BA because its easy and non expensive to change dates in my flight but now I may be open to book with other airlines."

I can understand once and maybe for one of us but it has happened EVERY time. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I sadly left my laptop onboard and I called the number for SFO BA Lost and Found for 48 hours....every 20 minutes. NO ONE answered and no one returned my messages. I finally had to drive back to the airport to talk to a human....a 5 hr round trip. No laptop turned in and it didn't turn back up in London. So clearly, cleaning crew stole it. That in its own right is a problem but NO ONE returning my calls. Completely unacceptable. I got the duty manager's email and emailed him TWICE over TWO days before he returned my email. I highly doubt I will fly BA again, I'm afraid."

This is common to many airline steaks, and may be an unavoidable consequence of the limitations of preparing food on board. (Though I have had reasonably prepared meat dishes on certain AA flights). All dishes are highly under-seasoned, but a packet of salt and paper is provided, so this is not a curial concern."

Leg room was ample, seat width was adequate (for someone of small stature) but separation from neighboring seats was non-existent. My neighbors on either side were both plus-sized. I had nowhere to place my arms and effectively had to sit with my arms folded from SJC to LHR. Room for improvement."
