Bangkok airport needs a redesign to make it more accommodating for passengers with long layovers between flights. It needs a better selection of restaurants, stores and rest rooms near the departure gates. It also needs a shuttle or other transport system to help passengers transit the long distances between gates in different concourses.

Cons: "I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings."

Cons: "Storms in the area so it was a bit bumpy. Not the fault of the crew, but Mother Nature"
Pros: "Once we were seated and lift off was timely the flight uneventful as one can only hope for. The food was not outstanding but the chicken salad was better than most airline food and was a nice portion to tide us over for a long day after landing."
Cons: "The staff was lacking in personality and consideration. While well groomed and that plastered on smile was there the actual attention was missing the mark. I went to use the toilet before the flight and stood for several minutes waiting as the occupied sign was engaged. I was passed by staff three times before informed that the toilet is unvaivable until in the air. Really! So why did you squeeze past me 3 times without telling me this detail?"
Pros: "Not much to like... well I guess they got me there safe... LOL"
Cons: "Uh... $25 a kilo over baggage weight ? Everyone on plain carrying bags that weigh 10 tons due to that.. which makes everyone's experience quite lacking... Staff not very friendly nor helpful both service and flight attendants."

Cons: "I paid an extra 30 USD for preferred seating on a Sydney-Christchurch flight, and I sat in 1A . It did not provide the extra legroom as advertised because the door jutted out into my leg space. Add on to this that it was freezing in my seat, to the point where I had to borrow a blanket from my seat mate. I have one last flight on Jet Star, and I'm not sure I'll fly with them again."

Pros: "I'm a regular flyer, and can't count how often I've been on planes. This was the best, smoothest and least stressful of any shirt hop I've ever taken, and while it can't rival a big plane for food or entertainment, the seats were cozy, I had legroom and it was simply very well done!!"

Cons: "Agent at the counter gave us headache just because she request information that is not necessary. I had to run more than one hour from counter to counter and it near the boarding time and until when I asked another agent, she said that I don’t need that information for my flight. Thanks God! I think She has poor training"

Cons: "Flight attendant that yanked my boarding pass out of my hand. 2d flight attendant who twice "forgot" to tell me whether she had looked for or found my luggage lock which had gotten lost when 1st flight attendant yanked my boarding pass out of my hand."
Pros: "Just got socked with $465 checked baggage fee for 3 bags! Let the buyer beware. I will NEVER use Jetstar again & suggest you look elsewhere. Fyi there is no ZERO rating, so would have given that!"
Cons: "Butchered by prices that were offered on Kayak and then taken to the airline sites where the prices are different. Jetstar rips you up with baggage prices at the gate. Nowhere does Kayak state that you have to pay upfront for Jetstar baggage......"

Cons: "Jet star counter at Melbourne has the WORST customer service I've ever encountered. Literally 3 employees standing around chatting while I'm trying to find someone to help with my passport not reading. Then standing at another counter waiting to be helped while being completely ignored. I understand when you're busy (even though he didn't seem busy) but at least acknowledging my presence would've been lovely. Also- baggage fees for this airline should be criminal."

Cons: "The checked baggage policy was not clear to me when I booked our tickets. In particular, it wasn't clear that checked baggage fees applied, that those fees are quite reasonable if you pay them more than two hours before departure, and that they are exorbitant if you pay them when you check in at the airport. Jetstar needs to be more up front with how its checked baggage fees work."
Cons: "room behind seats very short, staff not very attentive to those who hadn't paid for on-board options."
