Cons: "The on ground experience in Los Angeles was horrible (not Air New Zealand's fault). Made our plane (a scheduled flight?) park well over a mile from the terminals and bus passengers into customs. LA Customs is always a hassle, way too long of lines and agents with an attitude. One custom officer (the final check through) was great, the rest were grouches."

Maybe due to moist it was like dat...no one was listening to us and made us to wait for long time ."

Cons: "Booked through Kayak with what I thought was an equivalent Expedia ticket but was horrible surprised when I checked-in. Two other fellow travelers booked flight VA 7516 through Expedia for $218 (USD) one-way. I was able to open the same flight / departure time / price with Expedia but could not book. I then switched to Kayak and located this same flight (as I wanted to travel together with them), and it was for approximately same price. Upon check-in I was told it would cost $120 to check my luggage in (which I reluctantly paid). They indicated my ticket did not include this. I later discussed this with my two travelers and their check-in luggage plus a meal were included with their Expedia (Virgin Australia) ticket. Why was my Kayak (Virgin Australia) ticket so different from Expedia when our bookings were done about the same time? I no longer trust Kayak for future bookings."

Pros: "Had premium economy and on such a short flight is luxury. Boarding via the stairs as it's an island was good. Crew are always great. PE is pretty comfy on NZ. This was a day flight so we didn't sleep. Food was great. Great range of entertainment options but can't wait for Wifi!"

Cons: "Basic Economy options for carry-on confusing/not clear. Surprise charge of $110.00 once we got to the airport. Airline specified on website that a full sized carry on was not allowed. We were under the impression that meant a personal item (second personal item) was allowed as that is not a full sized carry-on. Confusing language! Airport personnel were entirely unforgiving. Basic Economy is a tactic to attract customer at low price but with substantially subpar options."

Ground crew were super helpful and got us on the next flight 30 mins later. Cabin crew were great and sorted us out with water and snacks before take off as could tell we were desperate after flying in from London via Houston."

Cons: "Heading from BWI to Newark to Boston on 9/29 on United. There were delays at Newark airport which lasted about an hour, and meant that we would be super tight getting in for our connecting flight. We had been told ahead of the departure of the delayed flight that there would be someone on the ground at Newark monitoring the delayed connecting flights, in case a flight needed to be held. Well, we actually landed about 15 minutes before our connecting flight was due to take off. However, we quickly found out that not only were the gates closed early, but the flight tracker was showing the flight had actually left early. There was clearly no communication between on the ground crews, and everyone working at the airport once we landed seemed confused about the situation. By the time we got within eyeshot of our gate, the gate agents were telling us that the Boston flight was already closed. This meant that no one was even monitoring the situation for us, and that they made no effort to hold the plane for the five of us who were supposed to be on that flight. Additionally, that was the last flight to Boston from Newark, so they literally didn't give one iota of care for our situation. I had a 10am wedding to attend that next day, and even after telling the agent this information she still asked me whether I wanted to get on a 10:38am flight to Boston, which made exactly zero sense. After all of this, she ended up getting me on a flight into manchester (that flight had been delayed for 3 hours by this time, and was delayed again after I was booked on it) which landed at 1:24am, a full two hours and some change after I would have landed in Boston, and a full hour away from Boston. Luckily, my boyfriend had his car and was able to pick me up. I finally got to Boston around 2:45am. My suggestion to the airport crews is to actually communicate when you have issues like this. It wasn't our fault, but we were greatly inconvenienced and they did not make an effort to prevent the situation at all. Adding to this, our pilot for that first flight told us that the reason for the first delay was that Newark was congested with too many flights into and out of the airport. THAT is entirely their fault for not being able to properly gauge their own capacity and should not have ended up inconveniencing passengers! I end all this with an additional inconvenience- when I arrived for my flight on Sunday at 4:40am for a 5:55am flight back to DC, I was told that my return flight had been CANCELED. Somehow, in rebooking me on the flight to Manchester. So I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with United to get that fixed at 5 in the morning and nearly missed my return flight due to crew incompetence as well."

Cons: "Surprise check bag fee even though it was small carry on and I had no other carry on. Happened both ways for total of $50. Felt like I was taken advantage of. You had to pay for any entertainment. Only food was a tiny bag of pretzels for a 6hr flight. Also maintenance delay."

He actually said to a male customer when a question was asked" what do you want me to do". Then a terribly long walk up and down stairs with luggage to board another plane at Newark at 6:30am."

Pros: "This leg of my journey was fine. Sat in the middle seat. Was able to sleep most of the way."

Cons: "Major maintenance delays made the 0600 flight take off late and missed our connection so had to go to a later flight, then that flight also got maintenance delays so our 8 hour trip took closer to 15 hours..."

Pros: "Small planes make it easier to embark and disembark. It was on schedule on both legs, but changing terminals (on a bus) for the connecting flight was a drag."
Cons: "These are very small planes with little seating room. Thankfully, the flight was very short. C"

They would not put me in a hotel, pay for another flight or even get me a taxi to a hotel I could stay at over night. I had to book a last minute flight through another airline at my own expense"

Pros: "I was very cold because I take blood thinners. I was sitting directly behind first class in coach . The first class crew was passing out blanket to anyone who wants one. Several I tried to get a crew member attention which she ignore . I was told I couldn't have a blanket because they are only given to first class customers only but on my flight to Batltimore I was given a blanket in coach"
