I need to come back another time. I went to another gate agent and she told be to go downstairs to the check in counter for help. That would have taken 2 hours. I called customer service and they answered my question quickly. I just wanted to know if I would be charged a fee to change my flight."

These are not obvious . There needs to be a staff member or two checking people as they arrive in a line to check they're in the correct t line . Otherwise people don't trailer until they have been in the wrong line until the reach the top of the line . Leads to frustration even before the flight begins! Otherwise great job everyone ! Example, on one flight I had a fish dish which was overcooked very dry and there was no sauce of any kind to make it palatable. I do not like to throw food away but half way into the meal I had enough. Other than that Qatar Airlines was really first class. The flight attendants were the best we have ever experienced. Their dress was immaculate, they were very friendly and attentive and were there to make the flight as comfortable as possible plus cater to all requests."

When boarding began, it started with "Group 1" rather than business and other priority customers. It ended up rather chaotic with boarding halted at the end of the escalator causing a very uncomfortable situation as people struggled to get off the escalator."

However we were flying West and thus into daylight. Sadly the window seated passengers were not asked to close their window blinds to block out the sunlight and many were left open. This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

They treated some senior citizens passengers who wouldn’t understand english with some disrespect. In addition, we had some problem with meal that was pre-ordered. It was probably system glitch but our meal selection wasn’t registered and Crew didn’t have idea about our meal."

Pros: "My husband and I recently traveled from New York to Bali Indonesia for our honeymoon. We were upgraded to Business for all four of our flight segments. The flight attendants were incredibly friendly and courteous and were actually surprised when we only ordered one drink and one meal at a time! The food was phenomenal, especially for an aircraft meal, and no matter what I was in the mood for, they had it."
Cons: "Boarding in New York was not organized. Those traveling with small children or needing assistance were not boarded first, nor were Business and Economy boarding from separate jetways."
Cons: "They announced everything in English and Arabic and repeated the same announcement multiple times. The entertainment is good but frustrating that it is constantly interrupted with announcement about everything. I have never heard that many on any other plane. The announcement about customs paperwork was long and done 2 times in English and 2 times in Arabic. There safety video is soooo long and again is done in two languages. It was just all too much. Besides that everything was great."

They refused to accommodate me for a 19 hour layover with a complimentary airport hotel stay, claiming there was an earlier flight--that was still 12 hours away, that I would have to pay to book anyway. Pure scam to get you to pay to upgrade your flight, pay for hotel or be condemned to stay in there airport for a whole day. Never ever again! Don't fly them!"

They said that they have to charge me a $615 penalty on top of the $750 i had payed for the ticket for cancellation. They mentioned that ill be refunded my $750 from qatar as they got a waiver for me. I received $250 from qatar airways and nothing yet. Airfare's customer service staff is highly uncooperative and v rude"

Cons: "We sat on tarmac for 3 hours with no explanation from the crew or cockpit. Because of the delay, everyone missed their connections in Doha. The crews could have jet a couple of the flights a little longer for people to make their flights. The desk was filled with people and was very chaotic. There were so many people working there but no one could give you a straight answer so it was very confusing. I had to wait at the airport for 4 hours to get it sorted and was given a food voucher for $50 for the entire stop over. I asked about a flight voucher and they laughed and said they didn't do that even though they were the ones at fault. The crew was nice and the food was good but I will never fly quatar airways unless they remedy the situation."

My flight from Sydney to LA the headphones and the jack didn’t work. I informed the crew member it was an over 15 hour flight with no sound in entertainment. I asked if they had kosher or halal options in one of the flights to Brisbane, the crew member wasn’t pleasant in the reply. I took the vegetarian option that’s fine but surely the crew member can say no in a more pleasant way. Although I had a great time in Australia. Thank you

I saw one of the old, battle ax stewardesses actually physically shove an elderly Chinese woman who was wandering the aisle before leaving the gate. I mean, the woman should have been in her seat, but that was no reason to body-check her like Wayne Gretzky (or Ron Barassi, take your pick)! Totally unprofessional."

We were shocked to learn that the airline demanded $140+ per person to carry our 15-16 Kg checked luggage (that counted as "no charge" on the other 9 legs of our trip.) No facts or proof of valid booking printed from their own website changed their demand for payment on the spot. We paid rather than abandon all our possessions in Indonesia. Cons: "We were charged $100 per bag and $50 per Kg over the weight limit. Baggage fees were not clearly listed when booking this flight. We found out about the cost when we were checking in to board. Jetstar should state up front in the flight cost area about their baggage fees, not hidden in the fine print. A side note, everything on the flight cost extra; water, Wi-Fi, etc. Once the added fees are calculated into the cost, Jetstar is not cheaper than the other airlines."

If it was more clear what the fees are, we would not have chosen Jetstar. I would recomend going with New Zealand Air over Jetstar hands down."

Pros: "I checked in online and wasn't able to add my bags to my reservation, so figured I would do it when I got to the airport. Big mistake. It cost me NZ$ 215 to heck my two bags (one was admittedly heavy, but that is still an insane amount). I knew I would have to pay for bags but more money because of something that I was unable to adress is absurd."

Had to throw out clothes and shoes to meet weight requirements as they charge $25 a kilogram for extra weight which was not disclosed when we received our confirmation. We were the only ones hassled over being a few kilos over each. Many people hand large luggage carry ons which wouldn't even fit in the luggage testers yet no one said anything to them. 90 percent of the people were easily over the 7KG weight allowance for carry on luggage and were not hassled at all. It was pure discrimination and perhaps it was because I was italian or my wife had blond hair. Who knows. I have been on hundreds of flights in my life and have never been so humiliated in my life. The blonde luggage counter and boarding ticket taker, was insulting and even insisted on seeing our australian visitors permit which is not required according to Australian customs once you have paid for it and are registered. She even tried to force my wife to check her bag even though it fit in their luggage sizing testers. Another tall lady with glasses at the luggage check in area, was also very insulting and discriminated against us. Horrible experience. Both of those people would be fired if I was running the airline. Its a service business and while I understand rules, you have to have some discretion and if your going to enforce them, they must apply to all passengers, not just 2 people out of 150!"
Pros: "Please notify kayak customers at time of purchase the need to prepurchase the food. The flight ran out of non prepurchased food. Also, allow the kayak customer to purchase in flight entertainment at time of checkout if cheaper as it was for jetstar"

This was a shock to have to pay so much, I would understand paying for overweight luggage but just to check a bag was outrageous. Then for a 6 hour flight there was no food provided, and the only free entertainment was to promote Jetstar. If I'd have known my $180 ticket would have been double in the end I would have just gone with someone else."

Cons: "Had to carry carry-on suit case up and down stairs when boarded the plane. Based on the seat, half of the passengers boarded through regular ramped hall way, half boarded through back door that went downstairs to get out of the building, then up the stairs to the airplane. In Auckland airport international terminal, all passengers had to weight their carry-on and personal bags, and if it's more than seven kg, you have to check it in. This was the first time I experienced that. I bought gifts in the airport and planned to buy more. Our carry ons were a few kg over the limit, and we were sent back to the check in counter, where we just got our boarding passes and no warnings were given. We were lucky we had plenty of time during this transfer to go through all the back and forth hassles. Paying the extra $$ for the surprise check ins was not pleasant. There was another scale at the gate counter, which totally cancelled my shopping plan. To be fair, weight limit was not enforced when we boarded the plane, but you never know when that scale will be used. During the flight, I asked a flight attendant for water, and she told me to get it myself pointing the curtain half a plane away. Another new experience. This was the first time we took Jetstar, and on the way to New Zealand, we didn't feel it was too much different from the other airlines we flew before except you have to pay for everything from a cup of tea to meals and entertainment, and of course we didn't go through Auckland. The return trip really made us realize you get what you pay for."
