This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."

I had a pre-selected (vegetarian) meal which was both meagre and mediocre when flying out of JFK. It was a grossly insufficient amount of food for the long duration of the flight. I had what was essentially a small tray of chickpeas for 'breakfast'. Crazy! 3. The noodles that are on offer for snacks throughout the flight were chicken or beef. Vegetarians do not have anything to eat except cookies and some fruit (which goes quickly when set out!) 4. No eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush or toothpaste. These are basic amenities. Had to ask for an eye mask and then one was provided. Some airlines even provide in-flight socks (and yes, I am talking about economy travel here)."

But you did get it out again and proceeded to pull the same stunt as we descended. Stunning behaviour. I enjoyed how you convinced the crew to put your laptop in the overhead bin both times. I believe the clincher was the four carry on bags you had with you. Priceless. Guess you should be grateful you weren't on a US domestic flight. But I'm sure you would have turned the story away from you and on to the crew."

Pros: "on time in time clean air craft great crew, on top of all was the experience of the Pilot, the take off and landing was so smooth"

Pros: "Once we were seated and lift off was timely the flight uneventful as one can only hope for. The food was not outstanding but the chicken salad was better than most airline food and was a nice portion to tide us over for a long day after landing."
Cons: "The staff was lacking in personality and consideration. While well groomed and that plastered on smile was there the actual attention was missing the mark. I went to use the toilet before the flight and stood for several minutes waiting as the occupied sign was engaged. I was passed by staff three times before informed that the toilet is unvaivable until in the air. Really! So why did you squeeze past me 3 times without telling me this detail?"
Pros: "Arriving on time"
Cons: "This airline makes the ticketing process very vague as far as bagge goes. If you happen to miss the add bags button when you buy the ticket, they charge you unreasonable exorbitant prices at the airport. For my $75 ticket, I had to pay $350 at the airport for my luggage. I would have just cancelled my flight but unfortunately I had a wedding to get to."
Pros: "No redeeming factors with awful customer service. I missed my connecting flight due to another flight being late. As a result, I called them to notify them I would not be able to make the flight and asked to switch flights. After explaining the situation, they refused to waive the flight change fee and even charged additional fees even though I had no control of the situation. They took advantage of the situation I was forced into and have no ethics. Absolute garbage."
Cons: "See above. A terrible airline who treats paying customers with disrespect and takes advantage of the situation. I will never fly with this airline again."
Pros: "This was the our first time flying with Jetstar a we were very pleased. The loading process was great quick and smooth. Its unbelievable to think that more airlines do not load back to front. The crew was extremely nice and cheerful and made the experience a great one for my wife and I."
Cons: "I'm glad I figured out that I had to prepay for luggage. They should make that clearer when paying for the ticket."

Cons: "Wish we had known you don't even get a free cup of soda, water, or coffee.. But a short flight so was ok... No frills, cramped, but ok for a short trip! (husband is 6.1 feet and couldn't put knees together in front of him)"

Cons: "Ridiculously over priced baggage fees. I couldn't believe I was being charged just as much for my flight as I was my checked bags. They hope you book with them because they're slightly more affordable than other companies but then charge you for absolutely everything once you get to the airport. Staff seem to know its unfair, but unwilling to do anything to help you. I'll never fly with them again."

Cons: "Flight status online at Jetstar website indicated on time departure, had to call to verify delay. Our boarding pass, issued at 2:30 pm still had 7:30 am boarding time. Flight was delayed because of airplane maintenance but we got no compensation, just $10 Australian voucher to use at the airport to buy food."

Pros: "Not much about JetStar or Kayak"
Cons: "I like many others, had to pay $320 to get our suitcase on the plane. JetStar said that it was kayak's fault for not including the luggage allowance at the time of booking. First off no one in this world has ever heard of this predatory way to rip people off. I consider it dirty and extremely underhanded. So you book your "economical flight through Kayak and they do not include this fee for $11. Big deal you say, well it gets to be a very big deal. We paid about $600 for our seats only, without knowing that Jetstar would want to also be paid extra for our baggage. They call it baggage allowance. If Kayak knew what the hell they were doing ( they are supposed to that is why we pay them) they would also know about the baggage allowance and it would have been $11. However when we arrived at the airport Jetstar wanted another $640 for our two 20kg bags. We were able to talk them down to $320. We went from Auckland to Sydney and for our connecting flight they wanted an additional $640. I said no, and that they could keep the bags. At that point I was told to get control of my emotions. Eventually we did not have to pay any additional "baggage allowance" to get to the Sunshine Coast. If I had kept control of my emotions they would have charged us at total of $1280.00 for our luggage on a $600 pair of connecting flights. What bullshit!!!!!!! Also wanted $4.00 for any kind of drink on board the plane. don't even think of food or a drink on board the plane unless you have money to burn!"

Pros: "It was the smallest seat to seat depth I've ever experienced on a plane. No big deal to me, but that was the only thing that could be negative. Great price. I don't check bags, typically."
Cons: "This would have been my 4th and final flight with Jetstar. I was allowed to board the 3 previous flights with my luggage without any problems but when I got to the gate to board the plane this 4th time I was refused because of the weight of my luggage which forced me to stay in the Auckland airport for 24 hours. I was given two choices at the gate (after already passing through check in and security), I could either pay $160 or throw away half of my luggage. This was outrageous and unethical as Jetstar offered my two impossible choices. I did not have $160 nor did I seem to have time to sort through half my luggage to throw it away which left me missing my flight. The Jetstar employee, who was as cold as ice, then walked me out where I was told I would have to catch the next flight, the next day, and needed to pay $75 to transfer my ticket and pay the normal fee of $40 to get my luggage checked. AFter sleeping in the airport, the next morning I went to check in only to be told the flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues and was transferred to another airline (Qantas: which was very good! You should use them). I would have been happy to pay the normal fee of $40 at the gate but once they open the gate the fee goes through the roof. This is unethical when it forces a person to not board there flight to another country. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH JETSTAR UNLESS YOU HAVE ONLY 7KILOS OF LUGGAGE WHICH IS BASICALLY A BACKPACK."
Pros: "For carriers such as jets tar you often have to pay to check a bag but it's not apparent how to do so from the app"
Cons: "they charged $150 to check in a bag over 7 kg (15 lbs). the size of the bag was fine (20"), and if you fill such a bag with regular clothes, two pairs of shoes, and a toothbrush, you will easily hit 9-10 kg. so this airline expects you to travel with a 20" bag that is only partially filled, which is ridiculous."
Cons: "I dont know if it was kayak, flight network or their fault, i just know that once i got to the check in counter i had to pay an additional 160 to ship my luggage absurd. The inly thing i know is that i ll not use them anymore. Plus plane was so old i had a spring coming out of my seat on the plane."

Cons: "They lost our luggage and it took three days to catch up to us. Very frustrating. The luggage was checked because they claimed our carryon luggage was too heavy. Seemed like a money grab to us."
Pros: "Our flight suddenly changed from 7:20am to 3:45pm and then 4:15pm. There was little to no apologies, explanation or communication. We got a $20 food voucher for the entire delay."
Cons: "Flight 2 hours delayed, which was as long as the flight duration (2 hour flight from Auckland to Queenstown). Charged us $70 per bag at check-in...we were told that because we didn't pre-coordinate our bags online we were being charged extra. Kayak made no mention of this policy when purchasing tickets or in the itinerary provided. The airline worker at the counter said mentioned "yeah this happens to foreigners all the time"...which makes it pretty blatantly a targeting scheme on foreigners who have no choice but to pay the inflated bag fees."

Cons: "They left my luggage in Auckland (I live in Dallas) AFTER forcing me to pack everything into it due to the dumbest "1 carry on" rule I've ever heard. The check in counter was severely understaffed. The whole experience was terrible and it was literally my first experience."

Cons: "The cost of my baggage was triple the cost of my flight. The assistants at the desk and gate were rude. I don't fly internationally often and I was anxious, they did not have time or interest in helping me. I could've been on a United flight with my parter 10 hours earlier for the same cost, had I known I would actually pay far more than the cost upfront. I will not be flying Jetstar again."

Cons: "where to begin... 1) $455 in baggage charges. yes, you read that right. 2 tickets cost $150. bags cost $450. absurd. enough said. we were connecting from an international flight, 2 adults and a toddler. it's not like we had an obscene amount of luggage. 2) so i tried to buy an extra seat (we were traveling with our 23-month old son)... buying an extra ticket and baggage allowance with it would have cost $100 less than the baggage charge with 2 tickets. But they would not allow this. 3) they would, however, block the seat next to us for free, so it would remain empty for my son. So we were not allowed to buy it, but they would keep it free for us. 4) we get on the plane, and the seat next to us is not blocked... someone else sits in it. if the plane is full, that makes perfect sense... but the plane wasn't full.. there were 20 empty seats. 5) so my son is unhappy because he wants his own seat, we're crammed into a full row... and there's a completely empty row behind us. So I ask the flight attendant if we can move. She says no, not until after take-off... first person to get there wins. Really? So, thank you but no thank you to jet star. at every opportunity they might have had to make our trip easier... they failed. miserably."
Pros: "The plane was nice and spacious, crew was friendly and captains were apologetic for all of the inconviences."
Cons: "The aircon was out the entire flight due to maintenance related issues that weren't fixed. We left an hour late and arrived an hour late also based on these issues."

Cons: "The baggage fees were all over the board, for the same piece of luggage I paid anywhere from $28 (pretty standard) to $49. I'm not sure what dictates the difference, as when I printed off the itinerary for the 4 flights we had they all said $28 and no one could give me an explanation of why the change or difference. The bag was in within the standard weight limits. Had I know that I probably would have chosen a different carrier as they weren't that much less expensive."
Cons: "My carry on was 3kg overweight.. they made me check it and charged me 160.00nz$ Ordered water and coffee on the flight and was told they would e-mail me my tax invoice.. still haven't recieved it."
Cons: "They charged me $450 to check my bags. I was never told I needed to check them in advance online. When I asked why I never received an email about the rules they said "passenger's responsibility, not ours." They also wouldn't even give me water for free. You had to purchase a water bottle on flight. Never flying with them again. Absolute crooks."

Cons: "$43 fare costs ~$150 all up. What is the $50 extra fee? Applies if I buy the tickets!!! Illegal, immoral. Pissed me off. NEVER AGAIN."
