Top tips for finding Phuket City hotel deals

  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Phuket City, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Phuket City in June and February.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Phuket City if you stay on a Wednesday. The opposite is true for, Thursday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • Book at least 90 days before your stay begins to get the best price for your Phuket City accommodation.
  • How long should you stay? KAYAK users usually book their accommodation in Phuket City for 5 days.
  • For those looking to immerse themselves in Phuket City’s rich history, the city centre’s Old Town is an area bursting with life and colour, with colonial-era Sino-Portuguese mansions, bustling markets and Chinese temples. There’s a wide range of accommodation here to suit most budgets, from cheap and cheerful hostels to intimate guesthouses and luxury boutique hotels.
  • For a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, the leafy western neighbourhood of Wichit is ideal. A top pick here is the 4-star Little Nyonya Hotel, a white colonial-style property with balconies and columns overlooking a stunning central pool, and one of Thailand’s best Nyonya cuisine restaurants.
  • If you’re travelling with a family, or simply like to feel like king of your own castle, then booking an apartment might be just the thing. Sugar Palm Residence in the city centre offers contemporary suites gazing down onto lush tropical gardens, with amenities including a rooftop infinity pool and fitness room.
  • Backpackers looking to stretch their budget in the city centre will find no shortage of hostels offering rock-bottom prices. Many are found along the city’s main arteries, a stone’s throw away from Phuket City’s best nightlife. Eco Hostel Phuket on Phangnga Road has a youthful vibe, with quirky furnishings and a café stocking organic coffee and herbal teas, while the amenities at At Nights Hostel on Phuket Road include high-quality bathrooms, lockers and access to computers.

Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort8.8/10 ratingout of 19 reviews · $100 avg price/ night
PROS: Private white sand beach, great facilities lots of spaceCONS: Since the hotel is a bit remote we had to rely on their restaurants for lunch / dinner. Food was overpriced and not at the level of the 5 star hotel Breakfast was excellent but lunch - dinner disappointing

The Memory at On On Hotel8.9/10 ratingout of 55 reviewsTalat Yai · $28 avg price/ night
PROS: The rooms were clean and really nice. There was a snack room with drinks and snacks available, which was really nice. Front desk was helpful. Hotel offers ferry to (and from) Phi Phi islands with pickup at hotel, so it makes it easy for a day trip.
