It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

Quantas delays in Melbourne wiped that out forcing me to pay $500 NZD for a later flight on Air NZ. After contacting with Air NZ customer service and explaining the circumstances, they reduced it to $100 NZD. Pretty cool. Quantas basically said that since I had purchased a rock bottom priced ticket I should take a flying you know what at a rolling donut."

We paid $30 per person per seat so that we could sit together and watch out for each other because some of the grandparents are in their 80's. However, when we checked in, we found out all our seats were re-arranged and in the worst possible way! Our 4 year old child was assigned in middle seat no where near my husband or myself. In addition, the family was divided in half, separated by the service station. I had switched seat so I can sit with my son but my husband had to sit at the other side of the service station to take care of the other half of the family because they do not speak English. I was left to attend to my 4 year old son by myself, which was hard to do. what bothers me the most is that there seem to be no obvious reason for them to re-arranged seats in such a devastating manner - it was not a full flight at all. I saw quite a few empty seats in the back. We spoke to the woman who was the head of the stewardess about the problem upon boarding, she said she would try to see what she could do, but she never got back to us at all. The seats were horrible seats for a few reason. First, there were a lot of traffic and noise from crew and other passengers because they were next to the Service station. Second, we were always the last one to receive food service because of the location. This is a problem when you have 4 year old and 80 years old who were diabetics."

Two days later I'm still reeling from the experience. What a terrible way to treat customers."

While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned. On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day. Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days. I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. I also lost one day of my hotel booking in Auckland and had to forfeit the money. I and my wife had to go through the psychological trauma of being refused to board the plane, then the next day running around the Australian embassy / VFS global office for trying to get the Australian transit visa and facing the uncertainty regarding our new Zealand trip which was planned well in advance for our 25th wedding anniversary"

The magazine guide to what was playing didn't match what was playing. You needed to use the airplane headphones with a double jack because the plane was so old, and the headphones were super uncomfortable to wear in comparison to my own personal headphones. I ended up using my own headphones, but that meant that I only had sound in one ear. There was no USB port to charge your phone. It was just very disappointing considering the airplane going to my destination was more state of the art and comfortable, and I was expecting the same going back. For an 8 hour red eye, I was counting on being able to watch good movies. I tried to watch three different movies and couldn't watch any of them through completion because they froze midway through at some point and never restarted. Most of the movies were in French too even though our destination was LAX. Super disappointing. Especially considering how expensive the flight was. Also on the flight to PPT, they even gave you a Tempur-pedic pillow for your back which was so helpful in terms of overnight comfort. There was nothing like that on this flight. Also there were no temperature controls and I had cold air blowing on me the whole flight that I could do nothing about. Lastly the food schedule was strange in that for a midnight flight, they kept you up for another 1-1.5 hours to do a light dinner service. The food is appreciated but I think going to sleep right away is way more important. Seats are super tight also. Thank you."

Pros: "According to our reservation we had seat assignments (not marked seat requested) but when we checked in they assigned us seats in the back of the plane. When we showed theconfirmation and seat assignments they checked and said a family with children has priority so they gave our 2 seats to them. However when we got on the plane we saw that it was not a family but 2 separate individuals. Not sure why they got our seats but it obviously was not because of a child. Another flight with them several days earlier we also got our seats reassigned but the flight confirmation on that leg said seats requested so when they reassigned us we could justify the airline thought that request is different than assigned."

When I attempted to explain that I didn't know food would be served the flight attendant just shook his head and walked away."

Cons: "Booked flight through British air for a reason. Didn’t anticipate American Airlines being used for our flights. The Flight was also delayed but it was never explained why despite dozens of questions from passengers. This caused a missed connection flight and forced us to stay overnight in Chicago with nothing but a $12 food voucher. When we tried t ask what other options were, American Airlines personal offered no sympathy and said the best we would get is the food vouchers and we should be grateful. No other travel reimbursement or vouchers were offered other than a replacement flight. Overall it was a huge inconvenience and caused numerous other expenditures for us."

Cons: "When I purchased my tickets, American decided it would be reasonable to separate my husband, our 1 year old daughter, and myself which I was notified of only when I asked the customer service agent over the phone prior to our flight. She explained that she was unable to do anything about it. I then called American during my trip and spoke with another agent who said it was out of her hands as well and to take it up with an agent at the desk at the airport. When I checked in online, I was able to change our seats myself which was nothing that either agent even suggested. The lack of ability of these agents on the phone to help two parents traveling internationally with a toddler was unbelievable. American has terrible customer service."

But that flight was delayed twice because of mechanical problems: the first time we had to go back to the gate and the second time we stayed on the runway just before take off Not enough room in overhead bins. Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

There are plenty of family friendly good quality PG or G rated movies that appeal to everyone. Would it be too hard to get individual screens in 2017?"

The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

AA cancelled my flight out of PGV, a better seat would have been nice since I had to drive an hour to EWN whereas I was staying only 10 mins from PGV."

I was informed upon arriving at the desk at the gate that that meant Air Canada has also decided to participate in the ridiculous practice of overbooking their flights and that even though I purchased my ticket roughly 8 weeks prior, there was a chance I might miss my flight to my friend's WEDDING. The lady who was working the desk was as unhelpful and dismissive as you could possibly imagine, refusing to look at me and giving me attitude for merely waiting in the area to see if anyone had missed the flight so I could get on. It was surreal; the only way I could describe her incomprehensible behavior would be to say it was as if her boss were right in front of her and she was trying her damnedest to get fired. It was one of those situations where you could tell this miserable, miserable person was enjoying the power trip she was on and doing everything in her power to make me feel helpless and angry. I made my flight, miraculously, but it was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life, airport or not."

They also understated. It took me over 2 hrs to get throug check in process, not counting 45mins + through security check and custom. I had asked staff to expedite the process. C my flight was boarding. Staff could care or less and walked away. I had to run to my gate and almost miss my flight. Also, I was told that 1st checked bag was complimentary as this is a express aircraft. Staff wouldn't honor that. Come to find out as I entered the aircraft that they made many passengers do the complimentary gate check anyway. Rude and unaccompdating staff."

Rude security employees. They also very slowly went through the duty free bottles of whisky I bought *at the Dublin airport*. Then there was this stupid line of kiosks that no one knew how to use, then for some reason another boarding check, then another, and then finally customs, with more rude staff members. We had NO IDEA any of this was coming, and got no warning from Air Canada. Then we rushed to our connecting flight, only to find out that we had been booted from the flight anyway. (I got an email about it, which of course I didn't check because I have limited data -- not everyone is made of money who can afford unlimited data!) Then we got on finally boarded, only to sit on the tarmac forever in uncomfortable seats when they could've just let us sit in the airport. Ugh."

Cons: "My trip was suppose to have two stops from Saint John to Louisville (one in Toronto and one in Chicago) but instead it ended up being a one stop flight from Saint John to Toronto to Cincinnati because I had to change my whole itinerary due to delays in air canada flights that caused me to miss my other connections. This made me to fly into an entirely different city and have my reception drive to get me for the only other option I was told by an air Canada representative was to take the delayed flight and miss my last connection and overnight Chicago (one of my original connections) and then fly to Louisville the next morning. This was not something I planned on doing and didn't have the time to do so had to find an alternative arrangement to get me close to where I needed to be. The first flight I was on from Saint John to Toronto was also delayed causing the flight to be late upon arrival at the Toronto airport. Not only that but then had to wait in line at the customs center for over an hour for only one customs officer was there to clear over 100+ passengers. Even if my other flights were on time I would have missed them due to the delays all around. Over all I was very displeased with how the day progressed, how I wasn't given much help from the air canada representatives at the airport other than them saying "there's nothing we can do" and for how the day continued to get worse with delays and problems all linked to air Canada."

We almost missed our connecting flight, and our bags apparently did miss it, because they have not yet arrived in Chicago (see previous comments). Air Canada should have seen the problem in terms of timing with the connecting flight and expedited better. Will try to avoid Air Canada in the future, especially if there are connections in Toronto."
