Pros: Air NZ sent my mom away when she arrived to board the plane because she could not hear well. This resulted in a 68 year old women spending the night at Heathrow. No apologies, no upgrades, nothing. Air New Zealand is a heartless discount airline. Terrible experience. Avoid.

Pros: The economy seats are pretty comfy considering so many other airlines, however it does make it a bit difficult to eat with a knife and fork at meal times. But the idea of a recliner seat is great! Decent in-flight entertainment.

Cons: Maybe a little more space to be able to eat a little comfortably would help. But I can understand that it's an infrastructural change that might not be possible.

Pros: The crew was polite, efficient and prompt

Cons: We have a 4 month old and we were the first ones to check in but all bassinet seats were booked. No one was even using them for bassinets. Not sure if they paid extra for those seats to have leg room but we had to hold the baby for 15 hours. They couldn’t do anything for us.

Pros: Over booking, no seat for me fight back to LA

Cons: It was ridiculously hot and the crew didn’t offer water after initial drinks run and we were seriously dehydrated. The flight was delayed and although the first half an hour we had excellent service there was no follow up service and the temperature in the plane was really very uncomfortable

Pros: Direct flight. Crew was good. I got home alive.

Cons: The crew made far too many unnecessary announcements and the sound system was friggin loud. Everyone on the plane jumped and cringed everytime there was another completely unnecessary announcement. The seating area in coach was also a bit crammed. The flight was full as were the overhead bins so i had to stow everything at my feet and there was barely any room.
