Pros: Super helpful staff in both locations. Great minivan with crazy good gas mileage.

Pros: Great staff, easy pick up. Drop off was at Denver Airport and that was VERY poorly communicated that the Thrifty drop off should be done at Hertz. Once we discovered that, it was fast and friendly but pretty stressful when we didn't know where to drop it off!
Cons: The car was not very clean - chewed gum in a cupholder in the back of the car. I get it, but with COVID when everything is supposed to be particularly clean, that was surprising.

Pros: The staff was great both at pick-up and drop off. Our disappointment was the car. It was advertised as a jeep and we ended up with a Ford escape. We were headed to 100 degree sun in Moab Utah and were forced to take a black car. The cruise control did not work.
Cons: Provide the vehicles you advertise and make sure they are suitable for the climate where your customers are traveling and they work properly.
Pros: The price of the rental was good but they made the process of picking up the car such a nightmare that I walked away from the counter without no car.
Cons: Understand their own policies and procedures. I had my credit card stolen and had not yet received the replacement so I was forced and to use a debit card for the rental. I know this is not preferred but it is acceptable according to their web site so long as I agreed to pay a deposit with the debit card prior taking the car. The counter person said that I needed to forms of ID (my fault for forgetting the second ID) and after I had my family drove 20 minutes to bring the second ID to me I was told that I also needed a airline ticket stub demontraing a return flight. Kind of a hard thing to do when I live in the city where I was planning on renting the car. I then called their customer support line and after waiting 25 min on hold I was given a rep who let me explain the problem and then put me on hold. After coming back on the line he asked me a second time how he could help me like he forgot our entire conversation. This happened a total of three time. I would explain the situation get put on hold and when the rep returned to the call asked how he could help me. I finally asked for a manager and was told they were busy and then after a fourth hold I was told that they were all gone. Then hold again for another ten minutes and then they dropped my call. If it hadn't happened to me I wouldn't believe it. I will never use Thrifty again and will recommend the same to my company.
Pros: The staff was not there even though I gave our flight arrival time and the business hours said they would be there till 1 am. We arrived at 11pm. We ended up renting from another company.
Cons: It could have been better if the business was own for the hours it says they are. If your arrival time does not fit in their hours of business, the online program needs to not let you put that time in.
Pros: We did not have to wait long in line at Salt Lake City. I read reviews before traveling that made me nervous about going with Thrifty. We were able to drop off quickly and efficiently. We did have a problem with our first car and they quickly changed us to another car without issues, that second car was actually better for us. Overall a good experience with no problems.
Cons: Typical additional sales efforts at the front desk that can be tedious to go through.
Cons: There was no agent at counter. I called customer support, who disputed with me that no agent was present. After waiting 45 minutes, someone filled in to help fulfill the rental. However, my Kayak rental had been canceled by thrifty. I lost the amount I prepaid and had to purchase a new rental at a higher price with a car I did not want, as they claimed that the cancelled rental was no longer available. Nobody at the location or on the phone customer service could assist. This was a truly horrible experience and will never again rent from Thrifty.
Cons: Clean the car before pick up.
Pros: SLC Thrifty's Lindsay (the person in the back/parking area near the parked Thrifty cars) was professional and efficient, remedying a frustrating situation.
Cons: Beware of SLC Thrifty, We rely on reservation systems; the car rental company should be prepared to honor its reservations, but wasn't. Assured that our car would be ready when we arrived; it wasn't. Told that our car would be ready for us in 30 minutes; it wasn't. . . . never did get the car we reserved, & knowing you have no leverage to get the car you reserved at the price you reserved it last-minute elsewhere, there was a strong pitch to take 1, then another, lower-class less-desirable vehicle that we definitely didn't want or reserve (when we had many car rental choices during trip-planning) . . . .
