Pros: This was our 6th time staying at the Pendry and maybe our last. We checked out early by one day because the room was not up to a 5star hotel standard (may not even make 3 stars). However, besides housekeeping and one person at the front desk, overall the service was very good. Drink and food service at the pool was excellent and so was room service. To the manager's credit, he did allow us to check out early without penalty and reimbursed us for the laundry service. Unfortunately, we most likely will not return unless the rooms and pool are renovated.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazingly friendly & helpful. The design & location of the hotel were beautiful. The lobby, our room and the swimming pool area were clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends & family!
Cons: The bathroom door in our hotel room was broken. Otherwise, the room was in great condition!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The staff were all pleasant, professional and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location. It's a very short walk to great restaurants, shopping and Petco Park. I would definately stay here again.
Cons: Parking at the hotel was very expensive ($47 per day). The rooms were a little small for the cost of them and it would have been nice if there was a mini-fridge in them. There is also no "sundries" store, so if you want a drink or a snack there is no where to get that. We also called for room service and no one answered the phone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I wish I could’ve taken that bed and pillows with me!!! Lol You’re smack in the middle of everything so we walked to most of our destinations. Staff is very kind and inviting. I totally loved the experience and will be coming back!
Cons: Perhaps the time in room service delivery could have been a little faster. Bucket of ice took about 20 minutes and my wife fell sleep while we waited for our late night snack.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the location, the staff and the hotels restaurants.
Cons: The rooms are small and cramped. The parking charge was excessive. There were never any news papers available. The noise from the in house partying was loud at 2 o'clock in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a wonderful, clean, hotel in a great area of San Diego. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great, location with a well designed and comfortable room. Pool area is well kept
Cons: My pet hate! The hotel felt the need to charge USD 25 under the amenties section. They said it’s a resort fee, ie to use the hotel. So all their good service goes out the window for USD 25 as you feel ripped off when you leave! For a small amount versus the rate is it really worth doing this?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Pendry Team is absolutely top-notch. Each team member regardless of job description is warm, polite, welcoming and eager to go above and beyond the call of duty at every opportunity. I love the overall aesthetic as well. A stunning property.
Cons: No. The place is perfect, I wld trade my apartment in Manhattan to live here permanently.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. I loved the rooftop pool space.
Cons: Rooms were smaller than I expected and rather pricey.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location Clean Design
Cons: The hotel charge almost 650US$ per nigh and there is no breakfast include... Value fo money is poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The People - everyone was what you would expect in a first class hotel.
Cons: Yes, I eventually had to leave it.
6.3 Good
Pros: This was our 6th time staying at the Pendry and maybe our last.
Cons: Unfortunately, the hotel looks very worn out already. Room smelled musty when we arrived and the couch looked like it needed to be replaced immediately. The rooms are typically small, so we upgraded to an Executive Suite which had more space, but a horrible view and definitely not worth the extra cost. Pool looked like it needed a renovation also -- towels were frayed, no one helped to set up chairs, and actial pool and spa looked dirty. A lot of stains on the pool chairs. Laundry service was horrible with shirts still being wrinkled. Housekeeping was sorely understaffed. Room was not cleaned until 6:30pm and no apologies were made. Both housekeeping and the front desk dismissively stated that they were at capacity. Not acceptable for a 5 star hotel.

Pros: We did not use the pool or the workout facilities. We sat at the pool area and had a drink. It was beautiful and the fire pits were on so the ambiance was great. The hotel was close to everything which is why we chose it. I would stay again and try to use the facilities and spend more time at the hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. When we mentioned that we were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary, they gave us a credit for our hors d' oeuvres which was very nice.

Cons: We felt that the parking should not cost so much since you are staying at the hotel. We got to the pool bar right at 6 but the bar closed early which was a little disappointing.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The view was the only positive.
Cons: Compulsory resort fee which provided services we couldn’t utilize because the staff wanted to go home early. We were told they’re not affiliated with the hotel and to take it up with them if we didn’t like it. And the noise! Holy cow

Pros: The location was great
Cons: The rooms were old, beds uncomfortable, and there was trash on the hallway and on our balcony
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Kids running wild at the pool with no hotel staff or security, dowdy and dull room that needs an update, amenity fee is a blatant money grab, one bar of soap. Not a 4 star. I would never stay there again and the adjacent Hyatt is much nicer.

Pros: The 2 doorman were fantastic!!!They are the perfect example of how to do customer service!! We mostly talked with David, on the day shift. He was very friendly, always helpful with suggestions where to eat or directions. The evening gentlemen used our names every time he saw us! That’s impressive because he sees a lot of people! Pool and hot tub were awesome. Location was great, quick walk to Gaslamp district. Great views of the bay!

Cons: I wish the rooms were a little bigger. There was not much space to put our suitcases for a King sized room. There was also a conference being held by the pool so it was difficult to get to the pool without interrupting the conference. - I also wish the room service food was better. The food we got was tasteless and lacked seasoning. - You have to pay to park and valet was $50 a night. You'd think for the amount of money you spend on the hotel valet would be free.

Pros: Location and the bar were awesome. Staff was amazingly accommodating. The room had everything I needed in it. And the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: A line was forming and it took a while for a second agent to man the desk and assist in check in. My view was over AC units, I was given no option to move to a better viewed room, which is what I'm used to as a Titanium member. Easy to move past this with the rest of this great stay.

Pros: It was a place to stay, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel or ever stay there again.
Cons: Very noisy door slamming in the hallways at all hours of the day and night. Price gouging when you first check in where the hotel uses bait and switch tactics to get business and make extra money off their customers.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The buffet food quality was good and fresh, while the staff are friendly are helpful. The rooms are a good size.
Cons: While the breakfast food was good the range was not very wide, so only three fresh fruits. Also, given the hotel size, the restaurant room was small meaning huge queues if you came late (one morning at 7.30 I had a 25 minute wait with a colleague to get seated).
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: location, view, service
Cons: Unbelievable noise. We were there for a scholarly conference of 10,000 people, and at the same time there was a music conference which blasted music outside to the point that we absolutely could not go to sleep at nights. There was nothing to be done about it, but I found it poor planning to have 10,000 guests for a scholarly conference and a simultaneous blasting music concert.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The check in was very accommodating. Had 3 consecutive reservations and she combined them into a single reservation. Even calling the other Hilton to cancel that (1) day reservation there. And make it consecutive with my other two.
Cons: Card key never worked with the self park. After having the key remade 5 times with assurances it would work, it never did. Maid service wasn't provided one day. The card key wouldn't open the door. The urban package was cumulative. Charged daily excess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly staff, high quality room and hotel
Cons: I liked everything about the property.

Pros: It felt like being at a resort. We actually got stuff for the resort fee.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff were amazing. Everyone from every department was very willing to help.
Cons: The mandatory resort/hotel fees at $35 a night along with $35 for self park or $50 valet were pretty ridiculous. There also are no microwaves in the rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Got charged fees that were not explained at time of booking the hotel .
6.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: Unfortunately, the Wifi connection is not free, but quite expensive (and only free for some "honors" customers. This is unworthy for a hotel of this category. It leaves quite a sour aftertaste of the otherwise fine stay.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location, cleanliness and comfort.
Cons: High price for average breakfast. Expensive parking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: They said I was getting a better room and view for 50 dollars more instead got The same room with the same view and would not reimburse the money
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Staff was condescending when answering questions about rewards and resort fees. It was very rude and we've never experienced this treatment at any other hilton venue.

Pros: Location was great. Gaslamp area had lots to do. Security was also good with only key card access to elevator.
Cons: Didn't replace toiletries in shower, or sugar and cream for coffee. The 2 exclusive restaurants/bar were closed our entire stay. Curtains were broken and hard to open and close. Lobby had an odor that I thought was strange and offensive, like a musk/hemp smell. Charged more than what I received from booking.com on confirmation email had to question it. And actually quite a bit more over $300.

Pros: Rock n roll theme and beautiful view of downtown and Coronado Bridge.

Cons: My only one complaint is that the room could’ve been dusted a little more.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything. This is NOT a 3-star hotel. It is old, has plaster crumbling off of the walls and plumbing pipes are wrapped in duct tape. The room was dirty with other people's hair found in the bed, shower & floor. Should be re-rated a 1-star hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a great central location in the Gaslamp District & connected to a 24-hour restaurant with a good selection of eats. It is a very retro hotel.
Cons: Space in the rooms is pretty tight & reminded me of old city studio apts. The hotel staff knocked at the door right at 11 a.m. telling us it was check-out time, even though our reservation said noon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel. The employees are really friendly. The elevator are so so cool. And the room are clean and comfortable. I would love to stay at this hotel again.
Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very old building, rushty water came out the bathroom faucet, room too small, bed and pillows are not comfortable, no parking for it hotel paid $40 for parking, very old elevator in the made in the 1930’s , it requires at least 3-4 people with strengths to open those 2 elevator doors, i am an athletic person still had to fight for it every single time, my daughter is a gym person and she is as strong as I am , we were stay together in 1 room. I was there for my performance and we need a place to stay close by it. I would not recommended to elderly people, and we stay there again, it’s not cheap hotel, I paid 179$ +40$ for parking
