Cons: The hotel is in the process of a big time renovation. There was a slight inconvenience at times because of construction dust and noise and elevator shutdowns.

Cons: Air conditioner in the room would not cool below 74 degrees. Too warm to sleep comfortably.

Cons: bathroom was small and the big bed sunk in the middle.

Cons: I have pictures if globs of hair in the drain and strands if hair on the sink faucet and floor.

Cons: The hotel in under renovation and it didn't look as nice as it have looked. I realize is an older hotel and it's good that they are renovating. Just wished I was there after renovations were completed. I was not aware of construction when I booked.

Cons: hotel is under renovation. any and all pictures you find on line are completely inaccurate or downright deceptive. even the official website shows a hotel that does not look anything like this one. rooms have no soundproofing so you hear EVERYTHING. bathrooms look institutional, ceiling tiles hanging out of the hallway ceilings, etc.... the place is a mess, loud and not very pleasant to stay at. only saving grace was we didn't spend much time in the room.

Cons: Shame about the construction, but that is a fact of life re hotel lifecycle.

Cons: Staff was very unhelpful and place was really dirty and loud besides the room because it was under construction.

Cons: Hotel was dated. Too expensive for what we got. Upon return to our room we discovered our AC was not working. Front desk sent up a tech but he couldn't fix it. So they gave us a fan.... No one from mgmt contacted me and no apologies. Just nothing. I paid less for my room at the beautiful La Cantera the night before.

Cons: The roof deck pool wasnt heated - quite chilly up there!

Cons: Room was a reasonable size but bathroom was a little bit worn. On the one day we forgot to leave a tip, the cleaning staff did a less than adequate job cleaning the room.

Cons: I paid for a balcony overlooking the river and the hotel doesn't even offer them. They told me that sites like yours are known for promising things that don't exist. I am very disappointed with my reservation price!!!!

Cons: My only compaint about the hotel is the cost of parking. Valet parking is $40 and self parking is $30 per night. Very expensive. If you stay a few nights parking ends up costing you as much as an additional night's stay.

Cons: I had a spa service at the spa that is not owned by the hotel, but located inside the hotel on the River Walk level. It was not a good experience and then I was overcharged for it.

Cons: Construction on the second floor during the day.

Cons: Couldn't get the room cool enough. Didn't sleep very well due to the room not being cool enough. Very humid.

Cons: sound proofing. With construction across the street waking you up at 6:40 am, easily hearing the conversations of others in the hall ways and flushing of toilets, sleep was easily disrupted. shower tub and carpet had stains/not fully cleaned. bathroom fixture groves had visible dust collected. really small pool, not sure if its that i'm from Miami, Fl where there is many pools. its about the size of the elevator hallway and maybe 4 ft deep.

Cons: Rooms are dated with sound transmitting walls. Amenities are business travel grade without the higher end amenities expected for the price.

Cons: One if the employees seemed to have a little bit of attitide considering that all I asked for was to have shaving cream sent to my room. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Cons: My room had way too much wear and tear. The head board was all scratched up. The tub has cracked and rusted and was clogged up the water would not drain when i took a shower. The door handle was at 5 o clock instead of 3. The room did not feel like a Grand Hyatt room. It felt like i was at a cheap hotel. I suggested to the manager that that room should not be occupied untill it get fixed.

Cons: Breakfast buffet was understaffed, was not explained properly

Cons: I didn't like that when checking in they ask for my credit card again after I had already paid $857 online. Not knowing that valet was not included they kept trying to swipe different amounts to charge and blocked my card for suspicious faudulent charges. Terrible communication cuz they could've asked me what card I wanted to use, nothing. Also valet customer service was horrible while my sister was arriving in her vehicle with my nephews she asked for help carrying her luggage off and was ignored by valet. He could've called someone for help, but definitely not worth the money, never again

Cons: Train noise in the early morning hours outside the hotel and noisy visitors next door and down the hall.

Cons: My room key stopped working when I returned to the room after taking a swim at the pool and had to wait wet about 10 mins till they came up and replaced the key.

Cons: The fact that self parking beneath the hotel costs $30 a night!

Cons: HAVING TO PAY FOR INTERNET AT THE BUSINESS CENTER AND FOR LOCAL CALLS. YUCK

Cons: Toilette was loud and running every 30 minutes or so. Close to the airport, you could really hear the planes coming and going. AC/Heat. There was no way to adjust the temperature, it was either freezing or too hot.

Cons: I had my truck stolen at the property and they didn't have any cameras. Apparently, there was a guard at night but maybe he was sleeping or something. No one saw anything. The truck as just suddenly there. The hotel is tucked away in a little corner and I guess is frequented by carnappers. The staff was polite but basically was just given a "that sucks, sorry." I had to ask the La Quinta across the street if they had cameras and they did but, unfortunately, nothing that was pointed at the TownePlace property. I wish I didn't have to have to ask another hotel to maybe see the parking lot. I feel like the hotel should have done something more to be helpful or SOMETHING. Sure, you've got a lot of signs out saying park at your own risk but if you can't ensure my property isn't safe while I stay at your hotel then I will definitely not stay here again.

Cons: I did not appreciate an employee being rude. Also they can improve with a thorough cleaning of the room.

Cons: Riverwalk is very popular but very touristy, and most restaurants therefore not very good.

Cons: Slow elevators. Some of the hotel room doors had windows which was a bit odd.

Cons: The card reader on the door did not work well. Took at least 10 tries before it actually opened the door. The carpet isn't the greatest. Have to pay for wifi.

Cons: We paid extra for double beads, with taxes, extras, etc. and paid 300$ with discounts. It was an inner room with no view/ window.

Cons: Facilities are in poor shape. Appear to be redoing during our stay. Location is good. Molars spa is very nice.

Cons: The bad news is that the hotel is right on the River Walk so you're right in the heart of the action. A lot of noise from the River tour boats and people, so if you're looking for quiet - this isn't the place.

Cons: My room was on the street side and the traffic was very loud. I would recommend a room on the river or interior part of the building.

Cons: If you hear the alarm, call the front desk. It's a parking garage across the street. They don't own it. It shuts off quick, but the front desk won't hear it, so call them .

Cons: Very old hotel. Our first room had a broken faucet. Second room was better but needed updating. A ton of road noise and party people on Friday night. Very expensive especially the breakfast buffet which could have been larger for the price.

Cons: Had to pay for wifi. Verizon cellular service barely worked in our room, cell & text functioned poorly, data did not work, so we did not have internet access during our stay.
