Cons: We did not like the food, and we were disappointed in the lounges. Our food was not good, the presentation was not appetizing, and the dessert was burned Did not even want to pay for it. Breakfast was a little better, but still not great.

Cons: Valet parking only - not our thing, but might appeal to others (not free). Our room was next to the elevators, which we could hear. That one wall needs sound-proofing. However, no noise heard from outside - a plus. Great stay despite noisy elevator shaft.

The hotel's location is directly on a loop of the riverwalk which is good because it puts you right into the attraction, but is not on the main section so it's much quieter and easier to find a dining place. Parking is available across the street from the hotel and the street itself is not as busy as those nearer the Alamo.
Cons: Parking at the hotel is a ridiculous $36/night and they charged for two parking spots for our two motorcycles even though we actually had both bikes consolidated out of the way in the valet area not even in the parking garage. That was irritating.
The hotel staff were polite but very cold and decidedly unfriendly. Don't believe I did anything to be offensive or difficult - I didn't even argue about the parking issue - but all of the desk staff (two in the evening, one in the morning) gave the impression they had much better things to do than speak with me.

Cons: Our one and only critique, and rather silly at that, after pulling in with our vehicle and stopping at the front valet, the attendant seemed almost shocked when we said, yes we would like you to park the car, and replied with an almost doubtful "are you sure? Wouldn't you like to hear the prices?" Though I'm sure he was just trying to do his job and avoid later frustration, the tone in which he asked us the question was borderline offensive. Young man if we can afford to stay where we are staying we certainly assure you we can afford to park.

I was under the impression that when I booked the room that I was paying $161 a night, turned the first night was the only night I got that price. Your advertising is very misleading. Cons: My one issue was the extremely firm bed. If you like very firm mattresses then this wont be an issue for you, but it was moderately uncomfortable to us. I hate paying for parking, but when you are downtown, it is what it is.

Cons: Parking around downtown is atrocious and full of pricing traps. That's not the hotel's fault, but when faced with $32 valet, you have to look. I blame the hotel because the hotel was no help when we called, while on the way, about parking downtown. They just kept saying they had valet and had no lot advice. It started te trip off bade. Also, the photos are deceptive as the lobby is not grand in any manner. It is tiny and dirty. Also, the elevators they show are just props. No grand hotel, no grand entrance... then up to a tiny room!

Cons: I reserved 4 rooms under one booking. Every room was on a different floor. I should have specified instead of assumed we’d be near each other. Breakfast voucher only covered 2 out of 3 people in a room. The only room we had with 2 people were given just 1 breakfast voucher. Those without a voucher had to pay $21 a person for breakfast that was buffet/continental style. Front desk said it was due to the type booking through booking. com. In all the places I’ve stayed, which are quite a few, I’ve never had only some of the people in the room have breakfast included. It was either all or none, based on if I booked including breakfast or not.

Cons: The hotel was okay. It's an older hotel which is fine, but it's not worth the money charged. The floor we stayed on smelled of urine as soon as we got off the elevator, as though someone couldn't make it to their room or a poor homeless soul somehow made it to the 4th floor. The sickenly sweet fragrance that was used to possibly cover it up was just as bad. We reported this to the staff and it was met with little concern from the person at the front desk. We were only staying the night and had it been a longer stay I would have left and gone someplace else. Certainly not worth the $400 plus charge. Would not recommend this hotel.

Cons: I stayed here 5 years ago and since then, the rooms and bathrooms seem more run down and not kept up. The air conditioner wasn't working correctly, so we had to have maintenance come in at 10pm to fix it. We had to keep it on 63 the entire weekend. The toilet was not bolted down securely to the floor so it clanked around when you sat on it and one of the light fixtures in the bathroom was broken.

Pros: I loved the location, the look of the hotel, it was clean and quiet. All of the Staff was very friendly. We loved the interior of the lobby and the Game area. My family spent at least an hour one evening playing shuffle board and relaxing. It was just one night but we wish we could've stayed longer. We will definitely stay again when we are visiting next year.

Cons: We were billed a movie - 12.99 + tax, that we haven’t rented or seen. We were not told this at checkout, but were informed on the mailed receipt. We called 3 times to talk to the front desk about this, and each time we were told that a manager would call us back.... we still haven’t heard anything back from the hotel! Because of this, I will not recommend this hotel.

Cons: My bed had obviously been slept on by multiple people! One side had an uncomfortable indentation about 2-inches deep which made sleeping in the middle of the bed impossible because I kept rolling to the low side where the mattress was lumpy and broken down. I woke with back pain each morning. However, my traveling companion did not have an uneven mattress and slept like a baby!
