The ONLY good thing about this hotel was the location & that's ALL!!
My husband & I usually stay at the Drury Plaza which we never have any issues staying at that hotel but unfortunately, we chose to do something different & stayed at the Hyatt which was the worst experience EVER! We have never dealt with so much disrespect from the staff; managers & security. The first night we stayed there the room was extremely hot around 80 degrees & we thought it would cool down but it never did, they sent maintenance & the problem was still not fixed, then next day they moved us to another room & the toilet didn't work. Our vacation was a total nightmare! This hotel service doesn't even deserve a 1 but there is nothing less I can put for their poor service & staff!! BEWARE BEFORE YOU STAY HERE!!!!!
We asked AJ very nicely to take the next elevator, since the COVID-19 stuff is going on, and he rolled his eyes at us and said “unbelievable”. we did not want to put him or ourselves in danger and he was very unprofessional about it.
Bed was an awesome size. The bed was very very comfortable. I LOVE the pillows. I wanted to steal one. ha ha
Good location, nice Riverwalk access.
Beware when booking that your room doesn't face the noisy atrium. Ours was just above the mezzanine, RIGHT ABOVE, where breakfast events for 150 took place. Our final night there was a very loud, very bad band. Key access in elevators was a hassle.
The staff was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choices.
