Hotels near Kansai Intl airport

Pros: A wonderful onsen, that had 3 baths including one with a tv and a sauna. The room was as listed and the beds were comfortable. The location was ideal, steps from a JR station and a view of the castle from our room.

Cons: The drapes had a very unsightly stain and smelled awful. When I asked for extra pillows and blankets I had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby and then asked to carry the items back to my room. Maybe it’s Western thinking but I would’ve expected to be told they would be delivered and that curtains that were dirty would be removed for thorough cleaning,

Pros: Great natural hot springs in the hotel. Great value, great location, they will also bring you extra pillows if you need.

Cons: They ran out of parking space despite arriving relatively early, so we had to pay for parking. In this event it would have been nice for them to offer to reimburse the cost of pay parking.

Pros: Everything! The location, the staff, the room (even it is little bit small but still fine), the hot spring (this is the best)!

Cons: Almost nothing

Pros: Nice place. Clean and standard room. All a bit on the small side, but really well priced and location is superb. Staff was also really friendly and helpful. Onsen were very welcome after a full day's hike. Would stay again.

Pros: Stayed a long time here and loved it. Comfortable and functional bedroom. Nice facilities such as a small onsen and sauna. Nice addition of free ramen in the evenings and breakfast was reasonable. Great location for Jr station. Friendly staff. Nice to have a kettle in the room. Cleanliness was high prority, especially important in these difficult times.

Cons: Small things: My room window didn't open or wasn't easy to open. + many of the nice small bits in the room and spa were disposible plastic which is not very responsible

Pros: The hot spring and amenities in this hotel are amazing. Complimentary noodles at night. Microwave, washer, dryer in the hotel.

Cons: The double room is way too small for two people.

Pros: The most stylish and full of character guesthouse I’ve ever been to in Japan. The owners are the nicest people and they helped me with everything. Really comfortable and perfect for a long stay!

Pros: Friendly staffs, cozy environment.

Pros: Staff is nice and room is big, simple cosy Japanese style room, i like the common area which is really stylish and nice to have a cup of coffee, can find all the things you need there! Theres elevators provided, so not a big problem even if you have suitcase :)

Cons: Location is a little bit far from the station (1.5km), need to take a bus for ~5mins, from bus stop walk around 3mins to the guesthouse.

Pros: I really like the bunk beds, the curtains they, the light and sockets at each bed. The bar, lounge and common areas were cozy and stylish and I love how accommodating and friendly the entire staff was. The place was so aesthetically pleasing. I was EXTRA HAPPY when I realized that they had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in all the showers for free. I think previously they didn't and I was worried about that, but when I went there they did and that really made the stay perfect for me. They also have a fridge where you can keep your food and a microwave, both of which are found on the same floor the rooms are in. They also had a functioning kitchen downstairs. I also liked how comfy their pillows were and how clean everything was. They cleaned every day. The location is great, there's a bus stop just 3 minutes away and you can go to the JR station or the Nankai station. There were also many eateries around and the staff really help you out in getting familiar with the area. I also like that there was a sentou (traditional public bath house) just across the street. I'm sad I didn't get to do but oh well, I'll try again next time. The internet was decent too. I could stream netflix or youtube on my laptop with not problem. I think you get more than what you pay for with this place.

Cons: Nothing really. Oh, I wish they had bidets in all the bathrooms. They only had one in the ground floor bathroom. Other than that everything was perfect.

Cons: How ever must follow the cleanup rules. Need to change bed sheet have to before 10am to inform paste sticker in your door room!!! If not inform before 10am only clean up room without change bed sheet .

Pros: Close to train station. Extra item available like extra pillow, blanket. Good breakfast.

Pros: Again very close to the main train station. Breakfast included which was a big plus and set us for the day of travelling sightseeing. Close to shop and restaurants

Pros: Easy to get to from Wakayama station. The rooms were well equipped, the beds comfy, and the staff were friendly.

Pros: Hotel is located on great location. It’s very close to JR Wakayama and many department store. The room is clean, quiet, very comfortable, and bigger than I expected. And also have a nice decoration. Staffs are very nice and helpful. They also gave me choices of currency for payment.

Pros: Wow - how to begin. Large individually decorated room. Comfortable Queen size bed. Full size fridge. Own micro-wave. Bathroom - separate shower/wash/toilet areas. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only 500m from bus and train station.

Cons: No lift but staff helped carry luggage to room.

Pros: The room was spacious. Windows could be opened for fresh air even though it was previously a love hotel.

Cons: The hotel was a little dated. Cleanliness was acceptable but could be better. Bathroom TV and Jacuzzi were not working. Breakfast could be ordered in advance but the earliest timing of 10 am was too late for us. Hosts were not able to speak English, we have to rely on a translator.

Pros: This was a honeymoon trip so we loved that we can stay in former love hotel. They gave us very nice room with the Fujisan painting on the wall - I loved it! For japan standards the room was really big and comfy and the bathroom was exquisite and the bed was really comfy. The staff was so nice, they even borrowed us an umbrela as it was raining :)

Cons: We could not find how to do the caraoke - I was looking forward caraoke experience but there was no way how to do that. Also it was a bit tricky to find out how to turn the lights/climatization of. Only one blanket for two people - but we could manage, it was a love hotel after all :)

Pros: The massage chair and jacuzzi provided

Pros: Rooms are big and comfy for 3 of us. The decorations in each room is different. We like the decorations : very Japanese and very artistic. There is even a jackpot machine inside the room! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Quite big space in Japan standard. Clean.

Cons: A special interior design is not for everyone taste. Aircon makes too big noise, we must turn off at night!

Pros: Location is great, rooms are great, staff are great, recommend 100%

Cons: Pillows and maybe breakfast. Die to corona there is no buffet available (and it is normal), but instead you will get Japanese breakfast, which is very unhealthy (oily sausages, super salty oily fish, many salty pickles, lots of rice, eggs).

Pros: Great location and nice breakfast.

Cons: The bed was quite small and we found dirty tissues on the floor when we arrived.

Pros: Second time we stayed at the hotel - after coming in from Kansai Airport. Great location just next to the JR train station. Good breakfast spread. Nothing to complain about.

Pros: Is close to many bars and restaurants. The buffet breakfast is mostly Japanese style but there is bread and jam too. It has all the amenities that you need. In the lobby there is also free water, coffee and cool towels to use.

Cons: Nothing bad about this place, the only down side is you have to pay extra for the parking space

Pros: Best location in Wakayama, esp close to the JR station and spacious room.

Pros: The proximity to the station and shopping and the Japanese breakfast.

Cons: The large step out of the bathroom is very dangerous.

Pros: Located in city center, and we can access some good places including spa easily from the hotel.

Cons: I heard the sound of sewage overnight, it was the first time for me.

Pros: I have stayed in a few APA hotels in Japan before and it is a really good hotel chain... This one was no different - great facilities and immaculately clean. The hotel seems a little ahead of other hotels in Japan re: trash and separating where 2 bins are in the room to separate trash.

Cons: - The room I stayed in (909 if I remember correctly) was like a sauna - even with the AC on! I wish it was possible to open the windows in this hotel and let in fresh air (not nice being treated as a kid in this respect); - The shower head was too low - it didn't make for a very comfortable shower; -Lack of coffee sachets! Providing abundant tea/coffee sachets in the room creates a welcoming and more homely atmosphere for guests; - It's not necessary to take away the slippers or the robe (or even towels) and replace them every day - it's good that this hotel does have a 'no clean up today' option, but, I had to put an additional (handwritten) note on the door alongside the 'no clean up today' sign saying that: razor, toothbrush, slippers etc etc were not necessary - just water would be welcome! (Again, thinking of the environment...); - The location is a little far from Wakayama JR station (a good 25 minutes on foot) and closer to Wakayama-shi (Nankai) station; - I recommend APA hotels introducing a bike rental service...Luckily a tourist office at the station provided bike rentals, but, closing at 5/6pm means you can't get a full day's usage of the bike...

Pros: This is a very good hotel. Nice location, nice employee, nice facility. There was a department store right beside. There is a Tong Ki Ke De in walking distance. There is even a musical instrument store right cross the street! Some employee speaks English. And "Apa" was interesting. On the teeth-brushing cup, it says that you will be back. And Apa 社長 Curry. Hahaha

Pros: I had the whole room for myself and the facilities are great.

Pros: It's a lovely house maintained by the owner and he was very kind to me. I felt safe in the area although the doors were not locked or anything. During my stay, there were a lot of guests as there was an event nearby. I stayed in the female dormitory and it was pleasant. I had a good sleep.

Cons: There's no lift in this property hence for travellers with big bags can be a challenge to carry up the stairs

Pros: Near to station and restaurants with a low-priced and well equipped room (we can pick many amenities at front desk). The breakfast was too much I really satisfied.

Cons: The room was a bit narrow and old.

Cons: Smoking smell is too strong in the reception desk.

Pros: Super close to rental car locations and 5 min less walk to the station. Free breakfast was nice and homey. They had various shampoos and conditioners in the lobby that you could use (pump into small containers to take to your room)

Cons: The rooms are more on the old side but for a short stay (1/2 nights) easy to look over. The rooms got a bit too hot but can be easily solved by opening the window (although 1 room's window kept closing)

Pros: Staff were helpful in answering questions about the location and things to do. We had to leave our car key at the front desk so they moved cars that left before you. If you don't like the shampoo&rinse, they provide many varieties at the front desk you can take a small bit to use. AIr freshener and hand sanitizer by the elevator on each floor to use freely.

Cons: I asked a few questions when I made the reservation through booking.com but none of it was answered. I requested for no smoking twin room, but we got a smoking room which smelled. The rooms were a bit small for two adults. Not much space to keep luggage. The person staying before us set the alarm and didn't turn it off so we were woken up at 6:15 am on January 1st after being out all night till 3 am! Staff should've checked. Not many outlets to plug in the humidifier and air purifier (provided) and a cell phone charger. Breakfast only till 9 a.m. but they clean up by 8:50 am. so you need to be there beforehand. Not much vegetarian options. Just cereal and yogurt and plum rice ball and salad.

Pros: Nice cleam rooms, nice hosts.

Cons: Breakfast did not have standard stuff that western tourists are used to. No toasts/jam/butter and the similar stuff.

Pros: It was very close to the station and the staff is very helpful. Ok for a one night stay if you are on budget. It includes a decent breakfast for free.

Cons: The rooms are extremely small, the air is very dry even using the humidifier in the room and the bed a bit too soft. The hotel looks very old.

Pros: One of the unknown better and moderate locations in Wakayama City.

Pros: Near the JR station, convenient with 24 hr-shop and large public bathes with sauna, cheep and all are acceptable.

Cons: Saw bubbles when I use the shower, implying the unit bath had not been cleaned and/or the water might be contaminated. Thus, I hope to have a bottle of water for drinking use as a benefit.

Pros: wide space, 10 floor view is nice. super close to the station... quiet place and reasonable price
