Pros: Spacious and quiet room where one could get a great sleep, very typical for Marriott International. Some staff were lovely and helpful, always happy to assist although thats very typical practice in Mexico because they like their tips. Tour guide on site was helpful and gave us Mexican rates (different to tourists ie American rates).

Pros: The staff like most Mexican were extremely nice and helpful. Every part of the hotel that I saw was very clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom was well portioned. I especially like the feature that the room key activated the room lights and once removed would stay on for only 5 mins. Check in and check out was a breeze and it was practically a straight line to the airport. Easy location to get to and from. Muchos gracias!

Pros: We booked last minute and still got a good rate; the place was very comfortable and the staff was kind. They have a restaurant and bar that is very good. The wait staff was attentive and they had a great live band. Seemed like mostly business travelers so we made them jealous with our morning cocktails ;-)

Cons: A few things. -At the top of my list is the hotel breakfast and more specifically, the availability of choices. We appreciated we are in Mexico and pork is essential part of Mexican cuisine, however, for a hotel of this margin, one would expect variety of meat choices to accommodate for people who do not necessarily eat pork for religious or other personal reasons. We had a long 10 day stay and had already pre paid for breakfast. A few days there were indeed chicken and beef options available but for the majority of our stay, there was only pork available. One day, after we enquired about it, beef was back on the menu and again disappeared for the remaining of our stay. My partner was allergic to eggs, so if you take the eggs and pork out the menu you are only really left with cereal and fruit for breakfast and that is certainly NOT wroth the price paid for breakfast at the hotel. -Gym has barely any equipment so for someone who is into fitness, website pictures are somewhat deceiving. We’d recommend day pass in local gym Energy Fitness (200 pesos) - Parking was a bit confusing at first. Not very well explained. We ended up in the hospital end with our suitcases (the hotel and the hospital share the same building one can walk through easily).

The double room with two double beds was really spacious, very clean, modern furnishings and very nice decorated, even the bathroom. Not to forget the two free bottles of water daily. Breakfast was great in quality, choice and quantity. There was also a grill area for ordering omelets, etc. The all-day pool bar was very nice also. The area was very good and peaceful, a 5 min. walk to Tulum Av. and R1 bus stop. Some really good restaurants in 10. min walk (Uxmal Av). Need for a taxi or bus to get to downtown center. Overall, an excellent choice concerning area, staff, comfort, cleanliness, rooms, breakfast, pool bar.

Cons: No exhaust fan or window for restroom. Expensive to take cabs from here, I guess they have a tie-up with some cabs. Best to walk a block down and take cheaper taxi.

Cons: Insects: little flies coming out of the sink, it was not possible to overcome, we called the hotel staff for help and no results. Breakfast: poor, each day all the same, no salads at all.

Cons: The bathroom was kind of shoddy, and the toilet didn't work especially well. It was on a busy street, and right across the street from a very very loud night club. It was hard to get very much sleep with the music blaring all night long.

Cons: Unfriendly staff. Very dirty, they gave the unclean room, ,They changed rooms but in the next room the toilet didn't work, ant no hot water in bathroom. . After changing the rooms and repairing the toilet, we asked for a later check out (2 hour) but they refused.

Cons: Unfortunately the walls of this hotel are paper thin. You can here normal conversations through the walls. We were woken up by the neighbors, whom were loud. It was evident one of them entered the bathroom to be sick. I won't stay at this property again. When I greeted the male server in the breakfast in Spanish, he looked at my with an unfriendly facial expression and said, nothing. Very poor.

Cons: Cleanliness- full of dust and dirty in our room and in the hotel Areas such as gym, pool, bar and restaurant, also it was full of coackroaches and fruit flies in our room/shower Staff - the staff member that helped us at check in wasn’t the friendliest and also the bar and restaurant staff / we spoke with other staff member during our stay to address our complaint who apologized but did nothing to help with our concerns of cleanliness and noise in the establishment Noise - they gave us room 25 which was close to a ice machina that was making a hell of a noise they said that they would turn it off at night but this didn’t happen and we couldn’t sleep until 4 pm Breakfast - very poor quality food and choice Location - close to Cancun downtown on a very busy street, there was nothing interesting and we didn’t feel really safe there

If you close the air-conditioner, you couldn't sleep neither since the hot weather. The wifi in this hotel was a trash. I didn't sleep in that hotel actually. The worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

Pros: Good price, nice and clean (note, they clean more thoroughly when you're present). Convenient location with shops downstairs and a nice big mall just across the road. Good WiFi connection. The breakfast was not bad, with some variety each day. There is a mini-fridge provided - if you book a "room with a view" (which costs a bit extra, of course). There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and a communal ironing facility on each floor. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: The TV only had one English-language channel, CNN (which I've renamed CCN, for the Climate Crisis Network). There is no kettle provided, so bring your own. No facial tissues, coffee, tea or water (except for one small bottle on arrival) is provided (but you can buy them downstairs and you'd pay more for your room at other places that do provide these goodies). The min-fridge (only available in the "rooms with a view") is really just a Peltier cooler, so pretty ineffective (the hotel saved about 100 USD by not buying a real fridge, but they pay for it in the long run with higher electricity costs).

Pros: Clean Rooms, quiet, friendly helpful staff and fresh breakfast buffet! We got a lot of advices from the personnel. Theres a supermarket right next to the hotel. To the beaches and city center we had to take the bus but it was very quick, easy and cheap.
Cons: There was no airport shuttle offered by the hotel, but we were fine taking the bus.

Cons: The room you get its on the other side of the road..they says they have 3 restaurants, partial true. It was overwhelming have to answer where I was from all the time from the personnel trying to sell me vacation package. NO INTERNET IN ROOM EITHER!!

Cons: I was emailed by the hotel prior to my stay requesting a copy of the front and back of my Credit card and the front and back of my I.D I did not provide this information and received a email stating my card declined After calling my back that informed me No attempts to charge my card was made I reached out to the hotel and was told since I did not send ID and credit card info he reported that my card did not go through but he never made an attempted I contacted booking who then reached out to the hotel to advised them that based on their terms and conditions it is not required for me to send them that info before my arrival The kicker is once I arrive and checked in my ID nor my credit card was requested Only my passport . Hotel is far away from the airport FAR...approx.45-60 minutes They shut down the game room for construction on our second day The other restaurants were unavailable on our third day Our room looked nothing like the photos online Everything in the room was out dated Sofia bed was horrible to sleep on you could feel the springs in your back We had a suite and it had one small tv in it And all the channels were in Spanish even though the guide showed American channels

Cons: Sins the cancelation of my flight on Sunday the 15th of March of TUI due to the Corona virus, I had to check for other options to even come to Mexico. At that moment I try to contact Selina by telephone and message but no response what so ever. When I did arrive at Monday 16th of March the room was not available and where limited in helping someone who had been traveling over 30 hours to even get there. When asked if they can check for possibility’s to have the 2 nights with them, they where not really willing to help. The included breakfast is overpriced for what you get. And having a good expirience with another Selina location in Cancun, it supprised me how bad it was here. And that is a shame.

The water didn't work for the first few hours after we checked in but I'm pretty sure they had it turned off to our floor to converse it or something. That's what it sounded like anyways. There's no blankets on the beds, only sheets. We stayed for $60 cad. You're in a good location for bars, everything's walking distance and you have a ton of choices. I'd stay here again. We didn't see any bugs (and I looked) and the bed was pretty comfy

Cons: There were apparently bed bugs in my friends room. The bugs ate through their shirt at night. I had mold in my first room and it smelled like that all around the hotel. Hotel is out dated and if only they could keep up the maintenance then the hotel would have a lot of potential. The night staff had horrible service. Treated us like they didn't care what was going on. my first room was a suite. Horrible. The AC didn't even work. My second room, which was a regular room, was a lot better than the suite but it was a little scary to sleep. The AC in that room was on blast. Almost reminded me of a freezer. Better than the last room but I almost froze to death. All around this hotel was pretty bad. I guess you get what you pay for but definitely worth the money to stay somewhere else.
Oh yea! Did I mention that there were bats in the hotel?!? Yes I said bats. Smh!

Cons: Rooms weren't very clean and the check-in was chaotic and slow. Restaurant understaffed and super average. Worst is the location though, dangerous area. And the swimming pool is empty!! So that was a big disappointment in the hotness of Cancun. Wouldn't stay again.

The towels and the bed sheet aren’t clean and I asked to change them. Finally, the last day, the receptionist came inside my room without permission!! He told me I have to go out now!!! I told him it’s 12 pm right now, give me 10 mins. I went to the reception at 12:20 pm and he wanted to charge me late fee!!! I said no and he locked the entrance door and call the police on me. 30 mins later, desperately he let me go without charge. DO MOT BOOK
