This was by far the worst car renting experience in my lifetime. It took us an hour to find the airport-to-rental shuttle because there was none. Some guy was hiding in shade with a t-shirt for one car company, while we rented from the other, while turns out they were the same company. Once we found him, he called the shuttle, and eventually the shuttle arrived. When we finally got to the rental office, they charged us another $450 USD for "mandatory insurance", and another $900 USD as a "mandatory deposit." They wouldn't release the car to us otherwise. That was on top of $250 that I paid to Kayak. It then took an hour to have them bring us the car. We arrived to Cancun at 2pm, and we were finally able to drive off the lot at 5:30pm. That's two and half hours to rent a car in 90F heat, with two young kids. That's insane. But the best part was the car, and the car was a junker! When you get a small car in US, you get something small but nice. The car we got here was all scratched up, dented, had rubber bits peeling off, had a missing wiper, and no windshield fluid. The biggest problem was the transmission. At slow speeds, or on hills, the transmission simply disengaged! The car would just stop in the middle of the road, and required going back to neutral and back to Drive in order to reactivate. All in all, I'd rent this 0 stars experience. It was awful.

Total scam! They draw you in with low rates and once you come and pick it up charge you over $609 for collision insurance even if your policy covers! Very dishonest company! Would not recommend to anyone!!

Fair Warning: Avoid this company! When I showed up, they refused to rent the car to me unless I produced a written copy of my insurance or purchased a $700 insurance policy from them. I had already purchased insurance from an independent company, but there was never any notification that I needed to bring proof in a certified paper document. When I asserted that my Citbank credit card also provided rental car insurance as a backup, they refused that as well. My $200 booking turned into a $900 booking, and I was stuck paying for it because I was now off-airport at their site and had no easy way to get back to the airport to rent something else. This was a scam if ever I saw one.

This company clearly operates with predatory practices. Located about 5 miles from the airport, we had to wait for an hour for a pick-up. Once there, they required us to accept an over $600 charge for liability insurance, even though we understood that companies there must carry their own insurance and additional is not required. They would not let us rent without it. I strongly urge you to remove this predatory company from your list, Thank you.

We were hit with a choice between putting a $16,000 deposit on our credit card to waive insurance, or buying insurance that cost much more than the car rental itself. A nasty surprise at the end of a long, tiring travel day. There should be a warning about this at the time of booking! Everything else was fine about the car.

I bought insurance for the vehicle I rented from the rental company. I accidentally backed into a pole and the car sustained a small dent. The company did not honor the insurance and made me pay out of pocket for the damages. The reason they gave me for not honoring the insurance I purchased is that I didn’t call the company when the accident happened. It is a complete scam and should be investigated. I plan to contact the company and Kayak to try to get my money back. It’s outrageous! Do NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!

Didn't even end up renting with them because I got to the airport and they were nowhere to be found.

They do not provide complete information about cost of rental and required documentation needed. The car had many dents and scratches. The "Check Engine" lamp was lighted and I was told just ignore it, Air conditioning system died on my return to the airport.

You rent a car online and once you are there they want to charge you 5x more for all kinds of excuses. Do not recommend.
