Cons: Pool was terrible old and small and kids spashing and yelling and not enough lounges. Kids were running around down the hallway yelling and screaming all times of the day and night. At the resaraunt they let a lady’s dog sit on the table and eat some of her food next to us. We thought for extremely high price to stay here it would have been a lot more classy and upscale. We’ve been to nicer hotels for a fraction of the cost.

Pros: Lovely hotel with really helpful staff. They had an issue with finding our booking but dealt with it smoothly and efficiently and honored the rate we had been quoted. The hotel itself is very nice. There are two bars, one on the ground floor and one on the seventh floor, near the pool area. Both were well staffed and the bar on the seventh had live music in the evening. It was a little too cold to try out the pool but it looked very nice. We tend towards not to having our breakfast in the hotel and prefer to sample the local restaurants. We did, however, order room service in the evening and the food delivered was tasty.

Cons: The hotel was great! The city of Austin needs to clean up, the streets are dirty, there was a homeless man sleeping in a tent right across the street from the hotel. As soon as you step outside to the street homeless people ask you for money non-stop, lot's of people smoking on the sidewalks. The city was not nearly as nice or clean as other's I have visited but that's not the hotel's fault.

Cons: There is a strange smell throughout the hotel. It is a musky, cedar chip kind of smell. It can be a little overbearing in some areas. Also the maids forgot to clean ours rooms both days. We had to call them every evening to ask them to come.

Cons: Overnight parking fee, yes all of them have them however $50 a night to park at the hotel as a guest already paying premium rate is a bit ridiculous. Doors to the rooms slam shut on their own. So when guest are coming and going at any time of the night there is a chance you will be woken up if you’re a light sleeper.

Cons: Size of the room (too small for 2 average people!), price was way too high for quality of the property (almost $400 per night). We have stayed at several ALofts across the country and expected some consistency in product, but will be cautious in future.

Fight against being put in the West Wing; totally unlivable without great earplugs you bring from home, not the ones they give out. They lie to stop room changes and say the place is at capacity when there are entire empty rooms there. Really fight them on this. Breakfast almost nonexistent. The homeless chased after me one day; they are aggressive. Go up on the opposite side of the street where they don't have the tents set up. Maybe it will improve there once the Target is installed next door on this empty construction-zone corridor you must pass on the road to even get there--and it's a bit hard to locate. Not so close to food options/convenience stores.

Cons: Would be nice if there were drapes that covered the bed like I have had at other hostels and power outlets next to each bed so when you are on the top bunk it's easier to charge your phone. Also, the lockers could be a tiny bit bigger, not that they were small, but my bag was a regular airline bag and if the locker was just a tiny bit bigger I could have fit the entire thing in there (thats what she said)

Cons: THIS PLACE IS A TIME SHARE. They tell you to go to the concierge desk to get a parking pass and then they hit you with the promises and sales pitch. We were offered free parking and gift certificates if we listened to their presentation. I did not want to waste my time on it but based on all they promised I thought we could sit through it. When we got there because we chose not to answer one of the questions, they took all of the offers off the table.

Cons: We had 5 pre-authorizations on our credit card, instead of one, due to their front desk employee. They were able to charge my card 5 times, but were unable to reverse it until I checked out. Also, I reserved 2 units under my name, and when the other couple gave their credit card for their unit, they were unable to take it since both rooms were reserved in my name. (Until of course, a manager got involved).

Cons: My first day, the elevators were not working due to a glitch in the card readers. They were promptly fixed and I only needed use the stairs once. Luckily I was on the 2nd floor, otherwise it'd been a bigger issue for me.

Cons: Checkout is until 12:00PM, I had a "Do not disturb" card outside the door, still some stuff started banging my door at 11:40AM, when I was technically going out of a shower. It was uncomfortable and unexpected. Room door is not really soundproof. You easily hear if there's something going on in a corridor (but nonetheless, night was silent, and I had a comfortable sleep) I was charged an extra $20 for earlier check-in (it was confirmed with me upfront), This I guess is normal in US, while (speaking from my experience) in Europe you get this normally for free, assuming they have a room ready by then.

Pros:
Cons: No phone in room. Smelly hotel throughout. Dirty elevators and one no in service. No dishes in room have to go to front to pick up. Location was great! Clubs are walking distance.

Cons: The prices can be very expensive! Especially for it being a 2 star hotel. The young girl at the front desk when I checked in was a lil rude. If I paying $405 a night I expect a decent breakfast...not a muffin and coffee...

Cons: Dried jelly on table next to bed, drug dealer down the hall way, family of 8 with kids running up and down hall at 10:30 pm, drunk drug addict passed out in in stairwell at 5:45 am.

Cons: The furniture was a bit dirty. The refrigerator, for example, was super filthy, like it hadn't been cleaned.
