Cons: "I really dislike that the make you check your carry on now. Most airlines let you take your carry on so I’m used to that. It also originally said $25 but at the check in it was $30. Plus I prefer not to check in my bag because it is faster, but since I did I had to stay at the airport an extra hour."
Pros: "More leg room on Swiss Air flight I ended up getting rebooked on and smaller plane seating only 2 on the sides, so much better than bigger Air Canada plane on outbound flight to Europe"
Cons: "Again, I did not make the DC flight,not delayed as an email had announced but closed at least 20 mins prior to departure, so no one was let in (after running through Zurich airport, again, no help). Rebooking possible and easy for my route, difficult for those going to DC and further west."
Pros: "The UI to watch videos on the plane is really good. They have good quality screens, so I watched movies for all the 12 hours of lfight I had."
Pros: "We had a wheel chair person and they made it very easy to drop off at the gate and get it at the destination gate. Also they drove us over to the baggage area due to many elevation changes required to reach this area."
Cons: "The obtaining of the boarding pass in Newark needed more people to help get the boarding pass. I like the option to use a machine if I want to generate a boarding pass but there were issues with the machines and not enough people to help alleviate the backup of people having to wait."

Pros: "With the amount of bad press that United has, I did not expect much. However, flight was on time, everybody was polite, movie selection was excellent (several classics, box office hits, comedies etc, they even appropriately put "Die hard" under Winter Wonderland), food was good and salted caramel ice cream for dessert was a very nice touch."

Cons: "Due to purchasing from Kayak, we could not change flight even thought flight UA34 was delayed due to mechanical. We had to call ANA, United and Airline.com but no one can change flights. We will not purchase tickets from Kayak. We called 11/5 to assign seat numbers. However, when we get to the airport, our seat was no assigned as we requested. They had to re-arrange to sit next to each other for two of us. Fight got delay does not mean they can re-assign our seats."

Pros: "I have always loved flying Lufthansa however we didn't fly Lufthansa, we were on United for both legs of our flight. Like all American opperated airlines they skimp on comfort in order to pack more people on their flight. I hope we are on Lufthansa on our way home at least."

The flight attendant appeared to be tired and not so patient. Could have asked the people who had not turned off electronic devices to do so individually instead of threatening to stall take off over the intercom."

Newark Airport website doesn't advertise the bus terminals, just the trans (which means security) - but the flight attendants were so kind and told me exactly where to go to do the bus so I didn't miss my flight, although it was close!"

Cons: "I had a flight from Los Angeles to Cleveland with a stop in Chicago on December 29, 2016; however, both flights were delayed. I am contacting customer care for compensation due to a severe delay for the departure and arrival for my flight from Chicago to Cleveland (Flight 786). I also wanted to report a very disappointing experience with the representatives at 1-800-864-8331. I was supposed to arrive at Cleveland, OH (CLE) on December 29, 2016 by 7:30 PM. However, it was closer to 11:20 PM when we finally arrived. The flight was delayed over an hour for departure when they announced the plane was not even ready and present at the gate. Due to this delay, we were not able to land on Cleveland, OH (CLE) because of snow on the runway. We circled Cleveland for roughly 40 minutes and then got redirected to the Detroit. We would've avoided the snow if the flight departed on time since the snow did not hit Cleveland until the delayed flight was airborne. We then landed in Detroit and spent another hour and a half in Detroit. At this time, I called the representatives at United and requested a refund. The representative completely understood my situation and said I would be refunded the full amount to my original payment method. She also assured me that I did not need a case number and that other representatives would be able to look up this information through my confirmation number. This was not the case when I contacted United again to see the progress on the refund. They said there were no annotations and that they could not provide a refund. They advised me that the previous representative had lied to me. While the flight experience caused me to miss the rehearsal dinner and bachelor party for a close friend I served with in the Army and almost caused me to miss the wedding, I feel very cheated and trashed for being lied to by your employees regarding my refund and its validity. This experience has left a very bad taste regarding United Airline's integrity and values."
