I thought Fiji and Fiji Airways was great. Looking forward to the next trip. Baggage claim at the end went to sh...t
The airline is ok, but it needs to improve it schedules.
See previous comments. Didn’t take this flight because my other flight was so delayed. Ending up on two other flights as a result and was more than a day late.
Food choices perhaps not the best. Only offered beer and wine, when it appeared other liquor was available. Entertainment wasn’t so good.
Business class Seats on the A350 from Nan to YVR were wonderful. The flight crew was okay but could do with better training. Toilets were clean but ran out of paper towels towards the end of the flight. The food/menu and the wine offered really needs considerable improvement. Dinner options were either Bolani, a beef sandwich (even this could be made much better), or paneer butter masala. Unfortunately, if you are not a fan of Fijian food, there isn’t much choice. Dessert was either turmeric ice cream or fruits but unfortunately, they were out of fruit! So the only option was turmeric ice cream. I’m not certain how many passengers like turmeric but I am not one of them. They need to cater to a more diverse group of people. Perhaps they need a new chef? The movies& tv shows were mostly older so I didn’t find that interesting either. It was however, fun to view the plane’s exterior cameras as we take off and land. The best thing about this flight are the business class seats.
Better connections, much better cabin crew, much cleaner cabin that Qantas, American and probably other carriers.
The A350 aircraft business class experience was very good. Comfortable and well appointed pod, and supplemental bed pad available for sleeping. Food was very good.
Fiji Business Class was value for money. Would do again for a long haul flight.
1.5Hrs to get from plane into terminal. Long wait. Flight to NZ 1 he late
Excellent service all staff where very friendly patient and efficient solved a boarding problem for me due to me not being able to access the visa portal for the USA.
The Air New Zealand product is terrible, it's as expensive as a Jetstar ticket with add ons but with surely staff and old aircraft.
Nothing better than Air New Zealand. Top scores in every category.
Your entertainment could be better. I flew on Air New Zealand in January so was expecting a better choice in February...but no luck. Same choices and also could have a better selection. Otherwise, lovely service, the purser came to our seats to welcome us. Overall, very nice. Direct flight from Auckland to YVR was fantastic!
They are my favourite airline in the world by a million miles.
Do the bumpy weather the whole trip they were very few times when the seatbelt sign wasn't on
Nice friendly staff and crew. Love the 787 flight. Get meals and lots of drinks!
I love the “boarding from the back” idea - it’s so much better than the “Zones” idea that many others use. Also, the inflight wifi was a first for me! Very nice to have on a 13-hour flight!
typical long haul economy flight. Food was mediocre, inflight service was average. Offered in flight snacks but in seat ordering didn't work. Entertainment was good.
Crew were pleasant, happy to be there and were a joy to be around. Entire operation was professional, well thought out and ran like a Swiss clock.
No refunds for flights that I could not take due to Covid restrictions
Pilot missed Fredericton airstrip on first go, so had to ascend again, turn around and try it again, successfully, albeit a little jittery...perhaps a new or inexperienced pilot. Not the greatest Air Canada experience. Delayed us even more.
The floor plan on the website indicated I was selecting a seat at the front of the cabin with ample leg room. In fact, I was in the row behind it. I should have wondered when the seat was free to upgrade, but it meant I traded an aisle seat three rows back for a middle seat, which was quite cramped. The Internet didn't work and the live TV didn't work until the last half hour of the trip. On a night of World Cup soccer games, not good.
Not the greatest. Our initial flight to Tokyo got cancelled due to mechanical issues, which was unfortunate however they worked quickly to get us on another flight and refunded my seat ticket. We flew with Air Canada back home and it was not a good flight. The crew never gave us our second meal and I was awake the whole flight so I know they did not come by. The flight itself was rocky and seats were uncomfortable. In general, for an international flight, I do not think it is fair that we have to pay extra to pick our own seats. I’ve been on many international flights and always had the option to pick my seat during the booking or at online check-in. Furthermore, if the airline is going to automatically pick your seat, it should seat groups together instead of seating them apart. If I already pay thousands of dollars for a flight, I should have this option included.
It was one and a half hour flight, however it was delayed for one hour, no bus running after getting off the C-Train,
I cancelled my flight in March and have been waiting for 3 months for the refund. Both flights have taken off and returned now and still no refund.
One small cup of warm soda for a 4 hour flight. Disinterested, unfriendly flight attendants
great flights both ways on time both ways.staff(ladies) where great at check-in.
Bad experience with Air Canada. Our first outbound flight was cancelled due to weather, but the airline rebooked us 2 full days later and basically told us it was our problem and to go away. Then a further onbound flight was delayed for 12 hours. The airline booked us a hotel, but the hotel was unable to transport all passengers in its shuttles (the airline of course didn’t provide any transportation or taxi vouchers), so we waited hours just to get to our hotel and get checked in. Finally, on the way back we had ANOTHER flight cancellation, and the airline wasn’t able to get us on another flight until late the following afternoon. All told we lost 3 days of our vacation (including nonrefundable hotel booking) and arrived home a day later than scheduled. I will never rely on Air Canada to get me where I’m going again.
All went extremely smoothly even during the busy Christmas travel season. This flight (when I took it) is a daytime flight (14:00 departure NZ time) so it was hard for me to sleep. Other carriers fly overnight (18:00 departure NZ time), which is much more conducive to sleeping. .
Air Canada board by zones. I was zone 6 the highest zone, with a window seat... Zones 1-5 boarded before me. Middle seats are zone 5 and aisle seats are zone 4. Made a very annoying boarding experience AKL -> YVR making so many people move. Boarding really needed to be improved. Food was fine but not really enough for a 13+ hour flight and the little "bread" rolls were like rocks. But was fine overall, better than previous meals/snacks Air Canada has served.
