Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The food we were served was of excellent quality which is so unusual when it comes to airline meals, crew and service was great as well. Obviously Air NewZealand have a far better understanding of what there customer base require compared to their competitors"
Cons: "Could not fault anything"
Pros: "GREAT CREW, THEY DID THE BEST THEY COULD. VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL."
Cons: "Ground personnel could have been way more helpful. We came back from Europe and needed to take a domestic flight to Palmerston North. We had a lot of handluggage that was allowed in our international flight, we had purchased an extra suitcase ticket to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. The lady that helped us was not willing to include any more items than 1 small suitcase that weighed only 11 kg, but we had paid for 23 kg. When we wanted to board the airplane we were told we could only take 7 kg each. Which caused problems and stress that we couldn't use after a 40-hour flight from Europe. We discussed this with the lady at the counter which wasn't really helpful to start with, but eventually, she let us board the plane anyway after we had to explain our situation a few times, and after she asked us to weigh our extra items, which of course we're more than 7 kg. We were pleased that at least she let us board our plane in the end. Hopefully next time we won't encounter the same problems."
Pros: "Aircraft was a new A320. Superb. Loads of legroom and extra width . Great flight."
Pros: "Only a 25 minute flight"
Pros: "The crew was lovely"
Pros: "The seats are comfortable enough even in the economy class. The crew is attentive. Entertainment is great, lots of movies and music."
Pros: "Crew was okay. Nothing special but not bad."
Cons: "The WiFi didn’t work! Don’t advertise it if it is not working. Even setting it up is far too much work/confusing."
Pros: "The airline and staff appear to be friendly and efficient"
Cons: "Seating in economy is tight. You really cannot move without annoying the passengers on either side. This also makes eating difficult."
Pros: "Crew were very helpful"
Cons: "First time travelling with the airline and wasn't aware of having to book things like food and entertainment. These things come standard with all other airlines I have flow with so was very surprised when finding out about it mid flight. Can't say I was very pleased but must say crew were very good"
Pros: "Free WiFi - was great and fast"
Pros: "The economy seats are pretty comfy considering so many other airlines, however it does make it a bit difficult to eat with a knife and fork at meal times. But the idea of a recliner seat is great! Decent in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "Maybe a little more space to be able to eat a little comfortably would help. But I can understand that it's an infrastructural change that might not be possible."
Pros: "The crew is amazing. Always friendly, smiling and happy to oblige. Love the New Zealand hospitality. The inflight entertainment has so many programmes to watch, and the list of music options to listen in to is well stocked. Food is excellent. Obviously overate in the 9 1/2 hour flight."
Pros: "Nice, short flight. Smooth ride."
Cons: "Had a middle seat between two very large women. Couldn't be helped, was a full flight."

Pros: "The crew was fantastic. They were incredibly polite and accommodating. This was my first time flying for more than three hours (15 hours from Houston to Auckland) and it really could not have gone much better."
Cons: "Always need a little more legroom in economy but it's a small sacrifice for getting an affordable flight."
Pros: "As I was in premium economy it was of course amazing, however it was a very packed premium compared to my previous experience so wasn’t as comfortable but still amazing."

Pros: "This is an overnight red eye flight. There is not much to interact with crew or service. It is simply long with attempts to sleep."

Cons: "No enough blankets when feeling cold"
Pros: "Punctual flight, great boarding and great baggage service."
Cons: "Bag drop could be improved with more personnel to help."

Cons: "Late start of check in"
Pros: "Everything else."

Cons: "Aircraft cabin way too hot on both jouneys"
Cons: "Crew was so busy that they kept overlooking my husband and I when doing the rounds of everything, We felt like we were singled out to be ignored, even though we paid for Premium Economy. Our flight was delayed for more than an hour. Food was barely ok even though we had been on Air NZ Premium economy 4 times now, was sorely disappointed with the food provided."
Pros: "Staff were lovely and food good ."
Cons: "Very cramped in window seat, quite claustrophobic really. Not a comfortable 11hr flight."

Cons: "There wasn’t a thing I disliked"
Pros: "Decent meals, complimentary drinks including alcohol, more room between seats than some carriers"

Heathrow gates are very long distances for anyone with mobility issues and switching terminals is confusing if not done regularly. Onboard staff was helpful. On board entertainment was free and varied. No WiFi?"

Cons: "I added Luggage 16.5kg and they charge $130 AUS.The weak point is they are not showing luggage when we booked."
