Pros: "Comfortable seats."
Pros: "The employees of Air New Zealand always make our trips excellent."
Cons: "I always have trouble hearing the announcements in the waiting areas at the airports. Why can't they (airports) fix that."

Cons: "The WiFi didn’t work! Don’t advertise it if it is not working. Even setting it up is far too much work/confusing."

Cons: "The seat is comfortable but doesnt recline enough, I dont like the fact that you need to flip the seat to get it flat, when is it flat its rock hard! Good on AirNZ for providing the foam mattress topper it helps. ButOnce its flat you cant really watch TV."

Cons: "When I booked I chose seats, then the aircraft changed and I ended up with the family split. It would have been nice if they had at least sent an email giving me a chance to select new seats"
Pros: "Appreciated check in staff who professionally answered our requests re routine steps to process check in. Only regretted that we weren’t aware (perhaps we missed announcement) that my husband who is still recovering from knee surgery was not aware we could have boarded from the forward entrance and avoid the descent and ascent via rear entry."
Cons: "We were not told that we had to buy meals and drinks ahead of time?! We had no food for an 8 hour flight and couldn't even buy a soft drink?! We were on an outdated plane leased plane from EVA Air and there were maybe 10 movies to choose from? Also, my reading light was broken. Not the level of care that I've come to know from Air NZ and really disappointed."

Cons: "I bought my ticket on kayak because on the search filter, it said 1 carry-on bag and 1 check-in bag but after the e-ticket was issued it said that it was a no luggage and no meal ticket. I had to pay excess in baggage fees ($100 AUD for 1 check in bag) and during the flight, all you get is coffee, tea or water. You have to pay for meals or soft drinks. I think if I bought on air New Zealand website, I would’ve gotten a better idea of all the fare types and pay a little bit more to get the proper amenities."

Cons: "Upon arrival we were informed that each checked bag was $60. This was news to us. The NZ flight employee informed us that Air NZ informed us quite well of this info, this the booking agent was at fault."

Later I could not checkin via internet on my mobile, I needed the APP but couldn't download it (not enough battery at the time), consequently I had to take seat given at checkin at airport but attendant kindly found me a seat that was best in what was left on a fully booked plane."

Pros: "a) My vegetarian meal the I specially requested. b) The customer service on the phone, before my trip in California and the customer service of the flight attendants on the two flights of my trip. c) The blanket and pillow every passenger was offered on the long-haul flight from San Francisco to Auckland. d) The pilot or pilots handled the small amount turbulence we on the plane felt well so I did not feel uneasy at those times."

Cons: "The staff asked for my return ticket to the U.S. I told them I have a round trip ticket from and to Japan. I have to show them my U. S. Navy identification card otherwise Air New Zealand would not have processed my boarding pass ticket. Air New Zealand discriminates."

Cons: "I couldn’t tell about the food and entertainment because even after several call to Kayak trying to upgrade to a flight where food and entertainment were included because it said “no meal service” on my itinerary I was assured they were included and what do you know. They weren’t. I will never be using Kayak again. Very poor serve from people I phoned. They did no know what they were doing."

Cons: "The fact that our booking through Kayak did not record we had booked luggage. We KNOW we had booked luggage. Air NZ wanted to charge us $160 each bag. Eventually BYOJet got us through to Virgin who allowed us to buy luggage for $25 per bag. Thank you Virgin for your wonderful assistance 1 1/2 hours before departure. Virgin's standard ticket has 23kg luggage included. What is the problem with a ticket bought online through agents such as BYOJet and Kayak?"

Pros: "Air New Zealand plane was newer and crew was helpful and gracious. Connection to Glasgow was a disaster mostly caused by our airline changing to British Airways to Glasgow. Because our LAX yo LHR flight arrived a bit late, we missed our flight to GLA and had to wait nine hours to get seats on another flight from LHR to GLA. No accomodations were made for us. We had to manage nine hours in LHR with a 4 year-old -- we had no other choice."
Cons: "Will never again fly Air New Zealand from LAX to GLA -- an annual route for us as we have family in Scotland."

Cons: "Can't check in online with a VA per locator. You need an ANZ ONE. You have to call VA and forcefully ask for it. VA totally unhelpful. And when you get the ANZ number, they charge you to book a seat. Any seat."

Cons: "Well I didn't even get on this flight because the plane haven't even left wellington when it was supposed to have been boarding in Sydney had to get two different flights"
