Cons: "Is it possible to build in a way to tilt the seat bottom up at the front a bit so that when the back is reclined you don'get as sore a bum, and you don't slide forward as much. The seatback recline and headrest were very good."
Pros: "I liked that there was food available and that they offered complimentary snacks and drinks. Some of the crew members were nice and offered good service. I liked that they offered some type of entertainment and free wifi."
Cons: "I didn't like that some of the crew members were not very nice. I also disliked that some of the crew members drove the food/beverage cart violently through the isles and saw as one of the crew members rammed into another person's leg, to only say "oh sorry" and kept on going. This same crew member missed picking up the trash from an entire row and was throwing trash on the floor. She was more interested in caring for a baby on board (not sure if it was her daughter or family member) than the rest of the passengers. I also didn't like the seats were so close to each other, the person in front of me almost hit my face when he reclined his seat all the way back. There wasn't much room to breath let alone stretch."
Pros: "We liked that we got to watch some entertainment for an economy seat."
Cons: "The check in process was a disaster- and none of the crew knew what they were doing. They were very unhelpful and on topof that kayak did not let us know there would be a $160 fee if we did not order a seat with a baggage. It was not clear on the third party site. It was a very costly for us, a couple who is on a budget. i book From kayak all the time, and know exactly when I am booking an economy ticket vs a more upgrade. We had to pay an unexpected $320 on the day of flight. It was ridiculous and while we were boarding the flight attendants held us up again bc we had not paid the fee. But we tried to pay the fee at the front desk the first time and then we paid it at the gate and then boarded last on the plane. It was awful. The staff did not know anything and we were not treated great. Super unprofessional and disappointed at Kayak for not laying out all the costs ahead of me."
Pros: "The gate agents and the gate supervisors were rude and condescending My reservation was changed mid air and even though I made it to the gate 18 to Houston on time and boarding was still in progress I was not allowed to board. I was informed a plane was not a bus that I could hop on anytime I liked. When I protested that I had a confirmed reservation I was calmly told. “We canceled it because we didn’t expect you to make it.”"
Cons: "I missed my Thanksgiving Holiday because some powers that be decided I would not be able to make a connection So instead of waiting to we if I missed it and rebook then, like a normal airline, they preemptively cancelled and denied boarding."

Cons: "The stroller wasn't delivered to the gate by Air New Zealand"
Pros: "Service was very good despite our one hour delay! Everyone was appropriately apologetic though."
Cons: "Flight was one hour delayed not due to equipment but because the ground crew failed to load the cargo in time! That was annoying. (Then an ill patient had to be removed resulting in a further delay trying to retrieve her luggage.) I felt bad for those with tight connections."
Pros: "Our hostess was extremely friendly, accomdating and engaging. Air Nz need more staff like her! We had taken a Honolulu flight to Auckland flight the day before and were really disappointed with the service, lack of friendliness and the limited availability of food were not what I have come to expect on Air NZ, an airline we have been so proud of in the past to fly."

Cons: "The on ground experience in Los Angeles was horrible (not Air New Zealand's fault). Made our plane (a scheduled flight?) park well over a mile from the terminals and bus passengers into customs. LA Customs is always a hassle, way too long of lines and agents with an attitude. One custom officer (the final check through) was great, the rest were grouches."

Cons: "The check in, the baggage drop off and pickup were very confusing and it made it a little stressful having to change flights. Boarding passes are also difficult to obtain through other airlines."
Cons: "Boarding is an issue. Please have more staff in the early stages of boarding to make sure people go to the correct lines . It's not immediately obvious and leads to frustration . I wasn't too bothered as I worked it out quickly but I could hear many others expressing their frustration around me . I was disappointed in the movie selection. I wanted more new release movies to choose from . Cabin crew friendly and polite . Love the wine ! Put up with being cramped .. would love more leg room but overall very happy ! Thank You everyone involved !"

Cons: "the person next too me was overflowing in their seat so much they took up a quarter of my spot.. it was not work making the flight uncomfortable by making a stink about it but I paid for a whole seat not 3/4 of one!"

Cons: "The fact that our booking through Kayak did not record we had booked luggage. We KNOW we had booked luggage. Air NZ wanted to charge us $160 each bag. Eventually BYOJet got us through to Virgin who allowed us to buy luggage for $25 per bag. Thank you Virgin for your wonderful assistance 1 1/2 hours before departure. Virgin's standard ticket has 23kg luggage included. What is the problem with a ticket bought online through agents such as BYOJet and Kayak?"

Cons: "Would have been more exciting to land early if our gate was ready. Better to wait on the ground than their air I guess but after 11 hours on a plane the last thing you want to do is wait longer. Realize that's on the airport and not the airline, although there should be communication there."

Cons: "I am a small person and found the legroom to be inadequate. I paid $50 to upgrade the seats to economy plus to give us a bit more space but it wasn't any better. For a long, overseas flight, more space is needed. I had more legroom on my domestic flight with United. Also, the airline attendants for Air NZ were unpleasant and downright grumpy at times. It made a long, uncomfortable flight seem a whole lot longer."
Pros: "amazing accommodations and comfort with everything accessible for technology great staff, kosher means as i requested were on point, arrived late totally my fault, to both departing and arriving flights and they really did an amazing job making sure i get on the flight, international"
Cons: "When checking in for my flights at the Kiosk I inadvertently skipped over the seat select options. Unfortunately once this is done you can't go back. I called Air NZ to see if I could get an ile seat but as I had already checked in they could not do anything to change the seat location."
