Pros: "The economy seats are pretty comfy considering so many other airlines, however it does make it a bit difficult to eat with a knife and fork at meal times. But the idea of a recliner seat is great! Decent in-flight entertainment."

We were on an outdated plane leased plane from EVA Air and there were maybe 10 movies to choose from? Also, my reading light was broken. Not the level of care that I've come to know from Air NZ and really disappointed."

Cons: "That they left my luggage, 1 piece off entire flight! A brightly patterned piece! In 50 years of flying!!! Has NEVER happened! Had to spend the 1st several hours running around looking for underwear and jacket! Not a great start to vacation! And $100 nzd doesn't buy much!"
Cons: "Please check your visa requirements is your flight is just a stopover in NZ to AUS (or elsewhere) as I could not return due to unfair transit visa issues in NZ. Have to book another one way flight and pay. completely nuts. I was not warned anywhere till I reached the airport."

Cons: "I purchased a $50 select economy upgrade which should have included priority boarding but it did not. That’s on the airline though, not Kayak. The airline also did not reply to an enquirer submitted weeks before the flight. Seat leg space was restricted more than average due to large black blocks in addition to the metal seat frames. Maybe that’s due to the enhanced entertainment and power outlets so can’t say it’s a complete negative."
Pros: "The staff lady told me to there’s no food available then I told I need to buy it last time my flight was Jetstar was good even everyone can buy food on board but leta I called Chinese lady understood how I was hungry she brought me bread with batter and coffee that’s was good and best service I always thank to her service"

Cons: "the person next too me was overflowing in their seat so much they took up a quarter of my spot.. it was not work making the flight uncomfortable by making a stink about it but I paid for a whole seat not 3/4 of one!"

Cons: "Air NZ are, like everyone else, packing more people in a plane: 10 across in economy, where it used to be 8. No upgrade option I could exercise, even though I've got plenty of miles and do this trip every 6 months, because of the fare class I booked through Kayak."

Pros: "Very friendly and frequent service while in-flight. It was great having my own monitor built into the seat to watch available movies or tv shows I wanted to for the duration of the flight. Flight attendants would walk the aisles every two hours and offer water to everyone. I had never flown Air New Zealand before, but now it's one of my top airlines."
Cons: "The only complaint would be that there was no in-flight wifi available onboard."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very helpful. One of our travelers got sick on the plane and, unfortunately, made a mess in one of the toilets. Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."
Cons: "Our seats were more narrow than normal. Almost to the point of discomfort. We did fly on Air New Zealand from Auckland to Christchurch and the seats on that flight were what I would consider a "normal" width. Meals were served in a timely way but the food was just okay - nothing outstanding. But, we did fly coach/economy."
Pros: "Generally like the airline, and Auckland airport. The crew onboard was great, but the guy that helped me check in, and the guy that took my money for the extra rad fee were rude and bad with communicating with both me and each other. Seemed a bit clueless really."
Cons: "That I got charged $140 extra to check a bag even though it all fit under my allowed weight. Very unhappy about that."

I had my husband in a wheelchair and there was no one to help me with our bags! The security at LAX was joking and laughing amongst themselves and did not even look at us when they let us back into LA. We landed way far away from the building and I had to take my husband in a wheel chair and my hand luggage into a buss before we got into a building and we were the last ones to arrive, Vicky"

Cons: "Being a Star Alliance Gold member and Premier 1K on United Airlines I was expecting a bit more than water and a lolly. Yes, we did only buy the "seat" ticket, but come on a soda was an added cost. I don't see us flying AZ again anytime in the near future."

Cons: "Seats are unbelievably cramped. Not enough legroom or cargo room under the seats. It seems they put more seats in than the aircraft was meant to have. Made experience of 10 hour flight much more difficult."

Cons: "Wasn't aware that on this international flight we needed to do something more to get the basic services. Evidently there are classes of fares that don't rate basic food and drinks. Felt like steerage class. After they rebooted their system we were able to finally order and pay for food and drinks. Never been treated this poorly on an Air New Zealand flight."
