No refunds for flights that I could not take due to Covid restrictions

Pros: "Entertainment and board WiFi excellent"

Cons: "Boarding was a surprise, at least 200 m walking in the light rain, no previous warning."

Pros: "The crew"

Pros: "The crew was great. Really friendly, we got skycouch and it was really comfortable"

Cons: "Food was a bit too rich, maybe a lighter option in the menu would be useful as both were quite thick sauces."

Pros: "Crew was excellent; responsive, cheery. The safety video was unique enough to have passengers pay attention (seldom seen onother airlines). We were impressed and will fly "Air All Blacks" again soon."

Cons: "Online checkin presented problems, as did the kiosk checkin. Breakfast could have been served a little earlier -- I realize they wanted to give passengers sleep time and turbulence may have delayed service somewhat, too. Otherwise good."

Pros: "crew were fantastic. stewardess called Stacy was wonderful; had to time to chat and sort out my diet problem (gluten free) in time for the return flight. i've flow on a variety of airlines over the years and, frankly, ANZ is by far the best for friendliness, efficiency and understanding. Pros: "As I was in premium economy it was of course amazing, however it was a very packed premium compared to my previous experience so wasn’t as comfortable but still amazing."

Cons: "Ran out of meal options, flight was delayed so one option breakfast not appropriate at midday. The flight attendant blamed the person in front of me for taking the last other option. I had to clarify with her that meant there was only one option left. She seemed annoyed at me for asking."

Cons: "There was only approximately 13 inches for the aisle between seat sections. It was mostly women with big wide hips who kept me awake most of the 12 hour and 34 minute flight, as they brushed my shoulder disturbing my ability to rest."

Cons: "The departure was 20 minutes late (not too much), which delayed the arrival in NZ by the same amount."

Pros: "Air NZ is fantastic start to finish and airport security doesn’t make you take off your shoes in the airport. Flight was on time start to finish."

Cons: "Due to limited internet in Rarotonga, we weren’t able to fully check in until we got to the counter. The flight in came with two checked bags and not our flight to Auckland. We were expected to pay a fee at the counter but was charged $170 for the counter checkin of one bag. This price was not listed or posted anywhere during the booking or via email for mobile check-in."

Pros: "Agents went above and beyond to help. Wish I had names because I was REAL impressed at how much they helped to get our bags checked. My son had purchased my ticket and not bought luggage voucher. They helped me get online and buy voucher. Would recommend airline to anyone traveling in that part of world."

Cons: "It was a very positive experience. No complaints. I will definately fly Air New Zealand when that is an option."

Pros: "Our hostess was extremely friendly, accomdating and engaging. Air Nz need more staff like her! We had taken a Honolulu flight to Auckland flight the day before and were really disappointed with the service, lack of friendliness and the limited availability of food were not what I have come to expect on Air NZ, an airline we have been so proud of in the past to fly."

Cons: "About baggage didnt liked it... And no food too we didnt came across these to book it while booking tickets .. And passport recognization in sydney troubled a lot us for re checking and identification of our faces to passport ...it was irritating as if we r some wrong we did ..passport photo was without usage or somehow it was like dat not clear picture of us... Maybe due to moist it was like dat...no one was listening to us and made us to wait for long time ."

Pros: "Excellent gluten free meal offered! I appreciate the extra effort with providing a gf bun and muffin with most meals!"

Pros: "I liked that it got me from point a to point b. I had to pay extra to watch movies, no meal on an international flight (tbh I'm not sure what I ticketed and didn't tick while booking, but I mean it was nz to aus, come on)."

Cons: "Not getting my luggage across the ditch, paying for movies as an extra, no meal."

Pros: "The food was GREAT! The flight crew was social, nice and I felt apart of the family. The seats were comfy. I brought my own movies on my iPad but I used their free movies instead."

Cons: "The flight attendants did nothing and told us we had to buy water. Really?? We were over charged for our baggage by a long shot. You sell cheap flights but by the time you pay for bags it is no longer a deal."

Pros: "Had premium economy and on such a short flight is luxury. Boarding via the stairs as it's an island was good. Crew are always great. PE is pretty comfy on NZ. This was a day flight so we didn't sleep. Food was great. Great range of entertainment options but can't wait for Wifi!"

Cons: "The seat space is little cramped even for a relatively slim 5'11". Food taste was below airline average."

Pros: "Flight was delayed due to A/C difficulties, But no big worry for me. I had no other flight to catch in Wellington."

Pros: "We flew with Air New Zealand a few times during our trip and every flight was absolutely perfect. Staff was nice and helpful, the cabin was comfortable and everything from checking in to walking off the plane was easy."

Cons: "Our flight from Rarotonga was 2.5 hours late, causing us to leave Rarotonga at 2:40 AM ! The flight and crew were wonderful, but we were exhausted as sleep time was cut short because of the lateness of the flight."

Cons: "Slow to board and no gate on arrival. Had to be bused to terminal and waited ten minutes for the bus to arrive."

Pros: "We flew premium economy. The staff was wonderful great first experience! I really wish the other three crews could have kept this momentum going as my other flights with ANZ were less than thrilling! The flight attendant staff was phenomenal on my iah to akl leg. My crew on the akl to iah leg. Brandon gave the initial intro and seemed to follow the original crews standards. Unfortunately, we had an older flight attendant who seemed less than thrilled to be with us this flight."

Cons: "I wish I could give a true rating of ANZ as their crews apparently don't follow any protocol for providing the same exceptional service received on my maiden flight with them."

Pros: "The space sllocated is grossly inadequate security is overcrowed Dave not aware of poor image this gives thr city that of a rural enclave"

Pros: "Everything was on time, comfortable & smooth, online checkin was clear & easy. Helpful, responsive staff at every level. A million times better than my other travel leg with United (but that's nothe saying much...)"

Cons: "I will not use kayak again, because they used this terrible gouging airline that we did not know we were using for our flight. We had to change the flight date of our sons trip and they wanted to charge us $350 to change the flight and then with the difference in the flight it was gonna cost us $530 on top of that. The total for our flight was going to cost us $880! We found a brand-new flight with another company for $670! It is disgraceful! I will never use KAYAK because they used this airline and they don't let you know it! we never got our money back for the flight we did not use. It was a hard lesson learned. Whole thing"

Pros: "Unlike a trip on Air New Zealand several years ago, there is actually enough leg room now so knees don't push into the seat in front. That is a huge improvement! The airplane we flew in this trip was a nice new one, very well designed."

Cons: "No complaints! Air New Zealand really seems to be putting forward a god effort, and it shows. Hope they keep up these service standards and improvements over the past."
