Pros: "Crew, food, comfort, entertainment and many good things"
Cons: "I love everything"
Pros: "Punctual take off and landing, attentive crew, excellent entertainment system (Especially for short haul flight). One of the best meals I’ve had in the air too - great that this along with unlimited drinks was free!"
Pros: "Crew, Food, Boarding, Entertainment."
Cons: "My husband and I sat in row 30 (center & aisle). I sat in the center. As soon as the plane took off, we all heard a dog bark nonstop. The lady directly in front of me had brought a dog!! We felt terrible for the person to the lady's left and right. And then in the middle of the flight her dog pooped all over the floor! And the poor Stewardess' (they were SO wonderful) had to clean up the mess. Then the lady had to clean up more pee and poop and left all that mess right in front of my feet and handbag (which I put under the seat)! I had to hold onto my handbag and shoes the entire trip bc it was touching the pile of dirty paper towels! I couldn't eat the meal due to the gross situation, and I was very upset about this situation all bc of this one lady who had no regard for the ppl around her and behind her! I don't know what your policies are concerning bringing a dog on a plane, but it ruined my flight. I love Korean Air, and love the service and the stewardess' professionalism and attentiveness, but this has made me think twice about flying anywhere on Korean Air!"
Pros: "Legroom was generous, crew were attentive and polite, although alcohol availability was stingy."
Cons: "Food quality was poor bordering on tasteless, more importantly service of lukewarm egg meals is guaranteed to earn an "Air Typhoid" award, and is inexcusable."
Pros: "Same as above."
Pros: "Food was really good - nice mix of Korean and European menu. Good entertainment system; attentive staff offering drinks and snacks. Comfortable chair."
Cons: "We boarded late but the communication was good."
Pros: "Comfortable flight with a nice crew. An overall good experience."
Cons: "After arriving, the waiting time for receiving a VISA was quite long for people staying longer than the regular 3 months."
Pros: "Everything except switching flights in Seoul."
Cons: "We landed as scheduled at 5:10pm, but my next flight was scheduled to board at 5:55pm. You have to go (you should know this since it’s the country you’re based out of) a second security check in Seoul, so by the time I actually got out of security it was 5:55pm and my flight was already boarding. I had to run to my next flight and I barley made it. Showing up to my flight a sweaty mess after what felt like a mile run was not a highlight of my experience with Korean air. You guys seriously need to do some reconfiguring of your flights..."
Pros: "Friendly crew, good movie selection, USB port."
Cons: "It was delayed for two hrs for 50mns domestic flight. An i missed connecting bus so had to pay extra 100usd!"
Cons: "High chance of getting delay, this is mostly because of the nature of Korean air."
Cons: "Korean Air refused to provide accommodation for my 19 hours layover even I had two flights with Korean Air. The reason provided was simple: "We don't have you on the list". The fact that it's 8 pm and had known nothing about South Korea meant nothing."
Pros: "Flight had to be cancelled because kayak/Korean air allowed us to purchase these tickets aware with the expiration date of Lauren Butz’s passport this would be an issue. Disgusting business practice."
Cons: "See above. Kayak or Korean air should refund us the cost and some for the stress incurred on our honeymoon, the extra night stay in San Francisco and all the challenges incurred with little to no help from Korean Air on finding an APPROPRIATE resolution (they’re best offer was for us to buy two tickets for the same flight pattern 1 day later for an additional $1,500. THey wanted us to pay them more to get us there? After their shady business practices of willingly stealing money for our initial flight purchase for our honeymoon? Atrocious.)"
Pros: "After waiting for 5 hours on the airport, was happy to get in the plane. Business lounge is mediocre and over crowded."
Cons: "Flying form LA Had to wait an hour in the air pane for a gate to be assigned in Seoul. It was due to weather issues but crew was not very informative. Connecting flight was delayed by four hours and crew was not sure Did not inform when the flight will leave. Passengers from another delayed flight gathered around our gate and blocked us from entering boarding our plane. They were demanding that our flight should be canceled and didn’t let us board. Security was present they were taking notes but never intervened. This is the first time I have experience this type of chaos on an airport but from the signs posted, it appears that it may be normal situation and this airport. Didn’t expect I will have to push through a mob to board the air plane."
Pros: "비행기안 승무원들은항상 웃고 친절해서 편안한 여행을 할수있다"
Pros: "The food choices, included Korean dishes. The disposal slippers are great when taking shoes off. The air hostesses were friendly and helpful. Good leg room"
Cons: "There was no priority boarding for family with young children, and the boarding sequence was not accordingly to rows, so the boarding process was a bit disorganized. Not enough snacks. Soda was poured out in cups rather than giving the passengers the whole can of soda. Movie selections were not that great, many good current movies were not available. Was disappointed that it was the same set of movie choices as the previous flight. The toilets really needed attention, it was quite dirty and it smelled. Seat does not have enough lower back support, was literally having to sit on my pillow and blanket due to lower back pain. The temperature was not cool enough and it felt warm."
Pros: "Overnight flight to San Francisco, the crew is stellar. They are calm and friendly and speak English well. I liked the food options, I would recommend sticking with the American choices if you're not used to Korean food. The dinner was actually pretty good. Entertainment options are plenty, I watched 3 movies and a documentary. The flight maps and outside cameras are great, and it showed that the pilots were constantly trying to find smooth air while the first portion of the flight was bumpy. They found it and the rest of the flight was fairly smooth."
Cons: "Aside from the turbulence, which is no fault to the airline, the only other issue was a smelly bathroom in the back that spread out a few rows. I wasn't sitting back there but I would have liked a freshener if I was in those back rows."
Pros: "Clean bathrooms, courteous attendants, plenty of food and drink! These and more are what you can expect from Korean Air. Attendants are also bi or tri-lingual in many instances and will even bring you water and other drinks if you need it. I never felt dehydrated or hungry like I have on other carriers, and I appreciate this so very much because it isn't cheap to buy a bunch of food/drink after security to bring on the plane just to not starve... NOT on KOREAN AIR - full belly, no chapped lips! They even have hydration spray in the bathrooms and lotion too!! You get slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, headphones, and did I mention the games and movies on your INDIVIDUAL SCREEN ARE FREE? In case you are wondering... I flew COACH. Another note from this trip on the level of service. There were a couple of people, who I think were Vietnamese. They spoke no Korean and no English. The flight attendants even made an effort to find another passenger who spoke the language to explain the U.S. Immigration form because the forms were in Korean and English as the flight was coming ion from Korea. It was probably also available in Chinese and Japanese since many from there also take the Korean Air flight to the U.S. Still, the couple spoke none of those languages. They were behind me. It turned out that no one else on the flight spoke their language. So what did the attendants do? Well, they filled out the forms for them so they could get to their family, who turned out to be in Houston."
Cons: "I have nothing negative to say. I love this airline!"
Pros: "Good legroom; great choice of movies and screen on back of seat makes it convenient to choose and see movies/music etc"
Cons: "I would like to have a vegetarion menu option"
Pros: "The crew was nice and organized, polite, professionals, the airplan was clean. flight was on time too."
Cons: "The food did not include varieties, may be is good for korean people but not good for others, the dishes were plastics and foils which are not good for human consumption after being heated. I missed my flight from seoul to saigon because there was two flights with similar time, one with korea and the other with vietnam air, both with similar time but both are with different concourses , then , the ticket did not indicate the gate number , then the airport information operator directed me to the wrong gate resulting in missing my flight to saigon and being subject to penalties which all are not my mistakes. Please fix your system"
Pros: "Always love Korean Air - courteous, attentive and professional ! Loved the ice cream they served to prep you for that Hong Kong heat!"
Pros: "Nice in-flight movie options. Friendly staff. Plenty to drink and enough to eat."
Cons: "Meal was chicken and rice and plenty to drink: water, coffee, soda. There was also pickled vegetables and tofu, but I was satisfied not eating those. Numerous intermittent announcements: [The usual preflight safety briefing, the mid-flight seat-belt and arrival eta announcements, the mid-flight turbulence and temperature comments, the customs-forms hand-outs, the duty-free inflight shopping opportunity announcement, the eventual apologetic conclusion of the duty-free, inflight shopping opportunity] together spoiled my calculated chance of finishing a short movie."
Pros: "Service, food, entertainment"
Cons: "Can't choose my own seats"
Pros: "for the flight from Seoul to Singapore, the flight was superb. In-flight services was perfect. food was excellent and the air stewards and stewardess were all very helpful and full of smiles."
Cons: "Check In process at Seoul Counter. the check-in was stressful. the ground staffs insist on using Check-in Kiosks provided even when it was not working as it should be. Ended up being bounced from one staff to another."
Pros: "A380 is great plane (this coming from a real Boeing enthusiast). Very Quiet! Coach had more leg room than I expected, especially for a non-US carrier. Good service and great inflight entertainment. The airline is not a US domestic carrier so flight staff might not understand every English word of a request but they try very hard. Most US carriers would not try as hard if I were speaking Korean! The whole world does not speak your language and remember that coach is coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are out of the control of carriers so comments about that."
Cons: "No individual control for air vent and it was a bit warm for me but most people were comfortable."
Pros: "I like all the email reminders and alerts"
Pros: "Boarding is systematic, all items in order. The food was nice. Love the leg room space."
Pros: "Flight comfortable, service superb, clean and smooth flight. They went all out to make everyone feel as comfortable as they could."
Cons: "Scrambled eggs were overlooked. Breakfast lacked variety. Otherwise, it was all good."
Pros: "Service and Food was great. The hygiene was good."
Cons: "The audio on inflight wasnt working on leg 2 of the journey i.e. from Seoul to SFO"
Pros: "Aircraft is well kept and clean. Crew members are attentive and alert.check in process was fast and efficient."
Cons: "Charging of excess baggage on second piece of luggage checkedin. Amount is too steep. Selection of movies could be expanded esp the korean selection since its korean air? Current selection of korean movies was only 5!"
Pros: "see above"
Cons: "Would love more Movie and TV options, especially light of the length of the trip"
Pros: "The crew were excellent."
Cons: "I would have liked to have had a wider selection of movies. I would also have liked to have a hard copy menu to look at prior to meals, as unfortunately I couldn't always understand the crew, even though they were fantastic. With a little more detail I could have determined whether something was spicy or not."
Pros: "The cabin crew was very courteous and attentive. There was a passenger on my flight who appeared to pass out and I was able to observe the care the cabin crew provided him. They acted very professional while the person appeared to be in and out of consciousness. The person eventually became better, but it is always good to see a well prepared crew deal with an issue. Also I am happy they had the bim bim bop on this flight. I didn't have it on the flight I had from Riyadh to Seoul that I took to get out there."
Cons: "The movie selection of Hollywood hits could have been a bit more robust, but it was more that fine."
Pros: "The friendliness of the Korean employees was outstanding - always had a nice smile and very courteous. My husband and I flight economy and usually when we fly long distance we will try to upgrade to comfort seating so legs aren't cramped (additional cost with Delta airlines) . With the Korean airlines the economy comfort seating was not an option but then actually not needed since the leg room was quite adequate. The blankets and other amenities for the flight were a nice touch with the blankets being very nice and cozy."
Cons: "The Korean airlines line at airport in Shanghai for ticketing and handing off of luggage was way too long. We thought arriving at the airport 2 and 1/2 hours prior to flight plenty of time for checking in but had to scramble to get to flight in time. With the menu - certainly was offered enough food but would like to see a vegetarian option as to meal."
Pros: "Leg room was more than most economy; however, my seat would not lay down and it was miserable for 11 hr ride from Korea to Los Angeles, California."
Cons: "Seat would not lay down for 11 hours."
Cons: "The flight attendant didn't speak much English also they didn't tell the passengers to ascend the seat when serving the food."
Pros: "Beverage service satisfactory."
Cons: "The fact that this JAL Flight was operated by Korean Air meant that not only was the staff different, the the plane itself was an older and smaller model with extremely little room and zero entertainment systems. Both of these developments were severely disappointing given that the 2 hour round trip was 440USD, and flying on a budget airline would have provided basically the same experience for much cheaper. Furthermore the flight was delayed for over an hour taking off at almost 10:00pm instead of 8:40pm. The meal service was quite disappointing as well given the long wait. This delay nearly caused me to miss the last train into the city, in which case I would have needed to take an incredibly expensive Tokyo taxi ride to my accommodation. This was avoided by luck alone, as the airport immigration lines at Haneda airport were uncharacteristically empty. All in all, it was a surprisingly frustrating experience and remarkably stressful. I have known JAL and Korean Air to both be excellent carriers and was quite disappointed to have such a poor flight experience could have been exceeded by an average Peach or Vanilla Air flight."
Pros: "Watched a great movie "spotlight" on board"
Cons: "Flight was delayed a little"
Pros: "great service, great food."
Cons: "I wanted to try the internet but wasn't able to get it to work. I was tired and I did not ask for help though."
Cons: "Customer service"
Pros: "Crew was awesome! Very attentive and friendly. Food was better than expected. Seating (premium economy) was very comfortable."
Pros: "The food was pretty good and the crew was very attentive. Checking was easy."
Cons: "Nothing really."
Pros: "The experience overall was great. Comfortable seats, good entertainment, and flight attendants who were professional."
Cons: "The food was not great."
Pros: "Boarding followed priority order. Blankets were good, and extra pillow available upon request."
Cons: "Better food options. There was reduced options due to strike, but the food quality was not good."
Pros: ""Transfer crew' got my luggage from another airline and transferred to EVA while I rested comfortably in the nearby business lounge; walked straight on board business class without breaking stride; seats recline nicely and I slept 7 hours of 11 hour flight."
Cons: "Fish was only meal option on one leg. I realize that's probably fine for your Asian customers, but you might consider a simple pasta as a second choice. There is an extra level of service in East Asia that is much appreciated by a weary traveler (6 weeks across Russia). Please don't ever loose it"
Pros: "Crew is very friendly! And overall plane was clean."
Cons: "Better control of rude/upsetting passengers around."
Pros: "EVA delivers again! Great flight."
Cons: "Hmm.. maybe if it was individual entertainment units instead of communal screens."
Pros: "Plane was new and comfy."
Cons: "Prefer hot food."
Pros: "We enjoyed the clean and quiet plane. The crew was wonderful and the bit of extra leg room made a difference. Traveling with 4 kids is a juggling act but this way was a breeze"
Pros: "I have flown Eva Airlines twice now for a few trips to Asia. The service and experience was great. I would highly recommend."
Pros: "Cleanness and professionalism of the flight attendants"
Cons: "Limited choice on the newer movies,"
Pros: "good as expected"
Cons: "everything good"
Pros: "Short connection wait time from my New York to Taipei leg."
Cons: "No hot food served."
Pros: "plenty of movies to watch."
Cons: "the second meal options were not to my liking. I chose Pasta, but i did NOT like the pasta meal: Too much pasta, not enough chicken."
Pros: "Amazing food, comfy seats and good entertainments system"
Pros: "Hou-tia, everything from the food, entertainment was exactly what I needed and expected. Our connection was close so Eva had an attendant lead us through the airport in order for us to make our connection."
Cons: "Flight is delay，take a long line for transfer, it makes me dizzy，got bad mood"
Pros: "Veggie food delicious"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and fast to take care of your needs ."
Cons: "People were coughing and sick . Most of them wore face masks , but being in tight quarters was little unnerving . It would be nice if there was a some kind of germ filter to regulate the air others are breathing in. To filter and destroy unwanted virus and smells."
Pros: "Anytime I have flown with a star alliance airline, I've been more than satisfied with the flight, the cost, the crew and the service. All star alliance member airlines are an excellent choice. Truly EVA is one of the "Stars" in Asia and it shows."
Cons: "Nothing I didn't like"
Pros: "Same as above"
Pros: "Good Service"
Cons: "It had a delay, but not too bad"
Cons: "If flight attendant is sick, she shouldn’t work."
Pros: "The flight attendants are very attentive and polite. The journey was smooth. Overall great experience!"
Pros: "Almost same as SF to Taipei"
Cons: "Without asking about drinks and just passed me"
Pros: "Loading and unloading was quick and easy. There was sufficient room for our overhead luggages."
Cons: "There was no entertainment available. The cheeseburger was very low quality."
Pros: "Has snack and drink"
Cons: "No music"
Cons: "the wheel chair servers we're not enough. One person handle ed three wheel chairs. I was the last person boarding."
Pros: "Me & my wife were on Premium Economy. This was a connecting flight to Manila from Vancouver Canada. The food served was not visually appealing and very lacking in taste. The food can be improved for this sector. The food was a very far cry from EVA Air flight also on Premium Economy. Before this flight we took we took BR9 from Vancouver Canada. The Ground Agent at the boarding gate wanted us to check-in our carry-on baggage which was well within the measurements specified in the EVA Air website (23x36x56cm). My wife and I had only one carry-on each. The reason given the flight was full. I did not understand this since I could see there were lots of passengers who had carry-on baggage larger than the 23x36x56cm and more than one piece carry-on. Not sure why this female Ground Agent picked on us when there were lots more violations within her sight. Also, she was rude when we refused. Once inside the aircraft with all passengers boarded, there were lots of empty bins for carry-on baggage. The more I was not happy about this Ground Agent picking on our carry-on baggage. The more I did not understand why!"
Cons: "This is my wife & I flying with EVA Air. My wife and I have travelled with many international and domestic airlines for 38 years now since we started travelling. I’d recommend EVA Air’s Premium Economy. The seats were wider and leg room was excellent. The amenities were great especially the entertainment part. TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad."
Pros: "My surprise business class hello kitty class"
Cons: "That my flight wasn’t longer lol"
Pros: "Love the experience of tasting all the different variety of foods, and the AMAZING shopping they had to offer, not to mention the friendly people I came in contact with."
Cons: "delayed flight terrible asian food no Usb charger"
Pros: "Very plain connecting segment of the flights. Food were not tasty. Service was OK but not great"
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "Overall Eva is a good airline (certainly beats United), but had a problem with the meal request."
Cons: "Requested child meal at the same time as booking seats (all online). Seats were as reserved, but had no record of child meal request."
Pros: "Clean affordable flight with hard working staff."
Cons: "Seat was stiff and a little tight for me ."
Cons: "The 6 hours layover"
Pros: "Been 10 years since traveling, usually I would fly United Airlines no more. Eva Air is outstanding!"
Pros: "I flew business class and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. I would fly EVA Air again."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and the crew was friendly."
Cons: "No meal choice."
Pros: "customer service was superb. very polite staff. amenities made one feel comfortable during the entire flight. food and entertainment was great"
Cons: "would provide wider movie selection"
Pros: "Just ok nothing special."
Cons: "Uncomfortable Seats, Food not good."
Pros: "Very polite staff. Nice airplanes and great food. Excellent value for overseas flight from Chicago to Hong Kong. Connecting flight was easy and they did a great job getting my luggage transferred"
Pros: "16 hour flight to Taipei in Business Class. Seats, service, cabin, amenity kit and bathroom were all better than Cathay and other similar airlines. Plane itself was great. Love the 777-300."
Cons: "Nothing. Was great."
Pros: "Oriental vegetarian meal was thoughtfully organized and tastes well."
Pros: "The same as what we experienced from Manila to Taipei."
Pros: "In flight food was delicious and crew was very friendly"
Pros: "Departed on time and safely"
Pros: "Food was provided on a short flight. It was an unexpected surprise."
"Always a great experience with an Asiana flight"
"No problems upon arriving at Incheon and transferring to Manila. The plane was on time. However you cannot check flight status on the app for updates. Good could have been more palatable. Crew were amazingly."
Pros: "They were able to fly us out of Incheon to JFK even there was only less than 10 passengers."
Cons: "Could not ask for more."
Pros: "Amazing crew, Great flight."
Cons: "Nothing I can think of."
Pros: "Absolute epic flight in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you all the crews. You’ve done amazing job!"
Pros: "Pleasant crew"
Cons: "Free WIFI"
Pros: "Had a whole row to myself"
Cons: "Food wasn’t great"
Pros: "I experienced the same type of service that I received on the flight from Bangkok to Seoul. I could not have expected more. I find the crew professional."
Cons: "I can't think of anything that could have made service better. They should keep up the good work."
Pros: "I really liked the food selection they provided in economy. Also enjoyed how they would time dinner and breakfast depending on our location. Left in the afternoon, had dinner while still in the Korean timezone. Snoozed for 7 or so hours and it was time for breakfast when we reached the pacific time zone. I especially enjoyed their in flight exercises before landing, it really felt great to get some proper circulation after sitting for a few hours."
Cons: "While traveling on the long haul flights, I really liked flying on the Airbus; flight from Los Angeles to Seoul was initially on an Airbus, very modern with better screen and power outlets! My flight from Seoul to Los Angeles was on a Boeing which felt a bit older; entertainment screen was smaller and had a strange viewing angle (you have to adjust the tile until you get a clear view). While not really bad, I could've paid more attention to see if they inform which type of planes are being used during booking."
Pros: "The price. Significantly cheaper than our normal ride on EVA through Taipei. Having said that...won't do it again."
Cons: "We travel between the US and Asia a couple of times a year and normally fly on EVA, who has wonderful service and great food. We took Asiana this time because the ticket price was significantly less than EVA. Below are the reasons we won't do it again. 1. The food was awful. My wife had the Asian dishes and I had the Western dishes. Both were well below the quality of food we're used to on EVA. 2. Transit in Seoul. On the way to Bangkok from LA we had 50 minutes to transit Seoul to our next flight. The transit security line was quite long and it was obvious that we, along with a few dozen other passengers, weren't going to be able to make the connection. After much complaining from us and our fellow passengers they ran us through another security line. Rushed to the airplane and made it. On returning to LA from Bangkok it was exactly the opposite. The only option was nearly 8 hours connection in Seoul. But we had plenty of time to negotiate the transit security line. These connect times did not occur because of a last-minute ticket purchase. I purchased these tickets in July for a December/January flight to Bangkok and return. 3. Inflight service was not at the level of EVA. Like any other Asian carrier, the flight attendants were light years ahead of ANY US airline crew, but below the standard of EVA. Waking you up to eat a meal (I typically don't eat dinner at 1AM), etc. I was sleeping with my seat reclined and the flight attendant took it upon herself to upright my seat at meal time and woke me up, presumably so the person in the seat behind me was more comfortable with space to eat their meal, but hey...I purchased the seat to sleep just like the other passenger purchased the seat to eat, so I think I had just as much right to "my space and comfort" as the other passenger did. Just little stuff that doesn't happen on EVA. 4. Inflight entertainment is lacking as compared to EVA. Few movie and TV choices, few game choices. 5. We sat in economy. The seats were not very comfortable. Seems the cushions were thin and it became like sitting on plywood after a while. Legroom on the 747 flight wasn't so great, but there was plenty of legroom on the A380. The A380 seating was still kinda hard, but the legroom sure helped. 6. Boarding process. Poorly organized. Nobody pays a bit of attention to "boarding by row number". Consequently it's a bit of chaos during boarding. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. For a flight of that length I won't choose to save the $200 or so per ticket and will ride on EVA. We've proven to ourselves that EVA is just pretty hard to beat."
Pros: "Didn’t like any part of the flight."
Cons: "The cabin was way too hot for comfort. The food wasn’t good. Little entertainment options."
Cons: "The crew didn’t help on putting my carry on luggage into the overhead cabinet, I’m not tall enough to do this so I dropped my carry on luggage on the floor. Luckily didn’t hurt any people and a Hong Kong lady helped me on this. Besides, One of my luggage was missing, I’m still waiting for them to let me know where my luggage is. This is the first time I took Asiana Airline, according to all those bad experiences, I doubt whether I’ll take Asiana Airline again."
Cons: "2 hour delay from Incheon to Tokyo. Messed up our travel plan a bit."
Pros: "on-plane service is good"
Cons: "back-office support is very poor. for example their online flight info system is faulty, they cannot figure out the date the plane arrives! mo kidding."
Pros: "Crew was decently nice and helpful"
Cons: "Plane was dated, not very organized boarding and exiting process"
Pros: "The cew is very friendly but need to improve their English."
Cons: "Entertainment system. Food options. General service offering in business class"
Pros: "Our flight is only Incheon to Narita and later that night our final destination is LAX. I have checked in to Singapore Airlines the day before our flight. While checking in at the Incheon airport, the ground attendant ask me for my final destination. After a few minutes, shw mentioned that our baggage will be picked up at LAX. I was so relieved since this trip was 3 weeks with 3 50lbs luggage and 2 10 lb backpacks. I imagined going to Japanese Immigration again and explaining the reason for the entry. Because of this our layover is seamless. Star Alliance made it so easy for us to take their airlines anytime. Kudos to Star Alliance. Oh, the legroom is roomy for Economy! Nothing can compare with their airbus. I am only 5foot1inch and its like having a lounging chair. My husband whose 5’10” is happy with the space. Thanks for thinking of your passengers!"
Cons: "It is minor thing only. Their headphones does not work. Which is not an issue since I always bring headphones and buds for our long haul flights!"
Pros: "On our flights to Palau and our return flight to Incheon, I had entire rows to myself, which was sweet!! I was able to stretch out a bit and get come good sleep."
Cons: "Airlines have done a disservice to travelers by adding rows and packing passengers in like sardines. Thus making travel an uncomfortable nightmare for economy seats. Take out a few rows and add a premium economy section - that would be awesome! Plus the plane we flew on was old - still had ash trays. The attendants, while courteous were not very friendly and cocktails poured were not very good. And, the charger in my seat did not work - bummer. while I appreciate very much uneventful and safe flights to and from our destination, I will more than likely not fly Asiana again. I don't like giving poor reviews, but you can't know to fix something if you don't know it is broken."
Pros: "Glad to have food and drink on the flight. Airline flight attendants were superb on all 4 Asiana flights from Honolulu, Hawaii to Vietnam via Seoul, Korea that I took. Beautiful as well as super efficient and responsive to all requests. I felt "served" as a customer in the best sense of the word, something I have not felt for a long time on an airplane. Even through the flights were long and very full, the attendants were very professional and this made the flight seem shorter and more enjoyable. The economy seat had more legroom and seat space than most other airlines, which made sleeping/dozing much easier. Pillow and blanket too."
Cons: "Food was so-so, except for the Korean dinner which was very good. I had to ask for a 2nd glass of wine - skimpy portions both times."
Cons: "The airlines broke my stroller. Complained to the crew but they pointed us to 4 different directions! Now I have a toddler running around the airport since she is not strapped down to her stroller, heavy carry on sand a broken stroller to carry around incheon airport trying to look for their office that nodoby knows where it’s located at!!!! When we finally found the office, their answer was to contact Chicago crew when we get back! No solution for us for the mean time! I’ll be on vacation for a month! Now I guess I have to pay for a new one out of my pocket for their mistake!"
Cons: "I wasn’t allowed to do online checkin so I got one of the few seats left in the middle. The flight was delayed 2hours. My standard carryon didn’t fit in the overhead bin. Overall it was poor."
Pros: "Some crew members were very kind and helpful."
Cons: "This airline puts priority on Korean speaking men non Korean women with a helpless child. First of all, my child was too large for the bassinet so I held him the entire time. Fine, I get it's for safety. But to make matters worse, my child had a fever and cried out of discomfort for the first 3 hours of a 10 hour flight. A male passenger complained and instead of defending a mother and a helpless sick child, the flight crew kept insisting ways to make my baby stop crying. Do you think I wanted to hear my child in that much pain? No, of course not. One male crew member told me to take my child to the back of thr aircraft (away from the complaining man). Ummm... I paid for my seat just like everyone else!! To be treated differently just because my baby is crying is HORRIBLE. To top it off, the seats are the worst I've ever sat in. My back and butt were in so much pain from those horrible seats. Bottom line- I will NEVER fly with this airline again after the mistreatment my baby and I received. This airline puts Korean speaking men above anyone else's needs, including a helpless 14 month old who feels horrible and doesn't know how else to communicate pain. I'll add that we were on a 10 hour flight after a 9 hour layover in Incheon and a 4 hour plane ride that was DELAYED from 1:45AM to 3:45AM. We were extremely tired and had been through so much already. If the crew had been more protective of us and understanding to the fact that he's a BABY I would have let the complaints slide. Last note- this airline delayed us 3 separate times. Yes.. 3 separate occasions. Do I need to say anything more?"
Pros: "By whatever reasons, the ventilation system at one of chamber was out of work and the cabin was so hot that keeping swearing all over the flight.... The general English level of flight attendant or ground crew are not good and can’t response on non-standard question. Quite hard to communicate."
Pros: "Kind and professional service."
Cons: "Food I like to have was run out so I had to eat whatever available."
Pros: "Overall, even with the turbulence, the overall flight experience was quite good. Seat was decently comfortable, and crew members were helpful."
Cons: "The boarding gate was tricky. Boarding at nearby gates was ongoing, so the boarding area was quite crowded, and the waiting line was quite confusing at ICN. The problem was with Hong Kong International Airport. It seems HKIA is experiencing 'traffic jam' very often. It's quite risky for the passenger like me who is expected to have another long journey back home after arriving in HKIA. Should be praying again and again in order to take the AEL and MTR before the service is over around 1 AM."
Pros: "well the pilot did a great job. we landed safely to manila. food serve taste good, and the flight attendant from chicago to manila, did a great job2.im thankful for overall service."
Cons: "I hate when my baggage is damage during my flight and no one i reach, easily. the asiana airline in Manila told me last dec. 11/12 2017, they will call me back at 10am but no one did. until now the number cant be reach.i paid for insurance if something happen to my bag worth $300 to be paid me back if my baggage damage but the asiana staff in Manila ask me f ok if they pay me only$80. i said ok. because i need it soon. but look like they dont care to give me. so i change my mind. the bag i bought cost $150 this year i bought it. need to be paid same. thanks"
Pros: "The food and service were very good. Each of the crewmembers I encountered was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also enjoyed the food, and for the first time in my life I think I said "no thank you, that's enough"!"
Cons: "first, although this was an international trip , in business class, the seats were more like something you would find in the premium economy section of other airlines. They were tired and outdated. Second, The entertainment package was abysmal. Basically, you were forced to watch a TV with bad reception, and no ability to choose what you wanted to see other than flipping through the channels and seeing what was already on. That meant never seeing the beginning of a movie. The picture quality was very poor. Although an international flight of seven hours duration, it felt more like a charter bus to Vegas buy a discount operator. I have the exact same experience flying from Korea to San Francisco on a prior trip. If I could learn how to determine which aircraft I would be flying in the future, I would never book an international trip on Asiana knowing that this particular aircraft would convey me."
Pros: "Between the legs of my Asiana flights, I had a 9-hour overlay at INC. Upstair in the same area with the pricey and exclusive lounges for elite travelers, there was a "Nap Space" or "Nap Place: a large suite of rooms with maybe sixty comfortable couches to catch up on missing sleep... with no sign-up required and no supervisory staff. And totally free of charge! Every airport should consider having such a welcomed service. Also at INC, bona-fide transit passengers with a outbound boarding pass can take a free shower (soap and towels provided as well?). Wow. These amenities surely make INC one of the least loathsome airports in Asia at which a day-long layover may be spent."
Cons: "No downside!"
Cons: "This was tough Journey. We though we got window seat, but it was not. We wanted to switch our seats because there were some seats who were opened all thru the flight. With all the respect, I asked crew member if we can change the seats, she said no. I said we are willing to pay more, she said no. NO ONE was sitting on those seats from Seoul to Delhi. Second, lay over from 2 1/2 hrs. became 5 1/2 hr. After all the wait, we did not even get the change the seats. I did not expect this form Asiana. This was very disappointing."
Pros: "The crew on this leg were phenomenal. They were very proactive and friendly, and were always smiling and happy to help. Upon boarding, a family had taken over my seat and row, moving themselves without asking and displacing all 3 of us in that row. The crew quickly found a solution where everyone got a seat they desired, even with a completely full flight. The food and entertainment were excellent, with a decent variety of movies and TV shows."
Cons: "When boarding, there is just one huge line with the entire flight lined up. Myself and a few other passengers just waited around the gate area until final call and then boarded, avoiding having to stand in the line that stretched to the next gate. Legroom was decent enough for a 5 hour flight. Asiana flights seem to be in no hurry to depart on time, although they usually arrive on time. We boarded on time, but my flight left the gate an hour late. However, we arrived to PNH ~15 minutes early, so that made up for the delay."
Cons: "Delay to board then delay in plane to take off"
Pros: "My flight: hanoi --->Incheon----> Chicago (Asiana) Chicgao---> GSP Origination flight in Hanoi to Incheon, agent failed to indicate that I had a final connecting flight from Chicago to GSP, SC. Flight from Incheon to Chicago departed nearly an hour after scheduled departure. --- resulted in me missing my next flight. Scrambled to reschedule my next earliest flight out of chicago. --- I advise Asiana ground agent about my situation and agent couldnt do anything for me! No hotel? Or apologize? Was very upset. It was a 14 hour flight and past 10 pm, I was tired. Asiana could have booked a hotel night but they chose not to. Lack of accountability and service! United at least rebooked me for their next morning flight. Charged extra for my carryon"
Cons: "Boarding seemed to have taken longer than usual. Plane departed nearly an hour from scheduled time."
Pros: "The price: my round trip ticket from Tokyo Haneda to JFK was only 850USD The layover is only 2 hours which is bearable and enough time to find the boarding gate and a little shopping."
Cons: "Everything else. You can check-in online within 48 hrs before your flight, but there is no QR code produced on their app for paperless check-in. The food was terrible, and the seats were not made for long flights. I really felt the "economy" vibe. They only provide disposable slippers, but everything else you need to check the lavatories if there were toothbrushes or mouthwash packets left. Overall, I will still consider flying this airline for any emergency flight back to the US, but if there will be a compeittive airline, maybe i'd try another. Their business class seem enticing.. maybe comsoder it too."
Cons: "1. The stewards were not friendly, especially she kept on forgetting to give me food since I was unfortunately sitting by the window next to 2 big men in the middle and aisle seats. 2. In LA while getting my luggages from the caroussel, I asked the porters 3 times to help me lift, but they ignored me and just attended to the ones with wheelchairs. Even if I'm not in a wheelchair, I am a seniour, and there are aches already in my body here and there. So that day, my back was aching til the following day. Lesson learned, other airlines are much much better than Asiana when it comes to treatment given to seniours. My first time to try, maybe the last."
Pros: "Food was delish (esp the Korean options), and crew was very courteous. The plane going to our destination had an updated online entertainment system -- touch screen worked w/o too much effort and the control was an easy reach from in front of you but I can't say the same for the flight back which i think is an older plane."
Cons: "I was getting sick and had fever the day i was going to fly back home. I was contemplating moving my flight but wanted to know if I could do it without getting charged (say if I had a doctor's note from the hospital) or at least how much I would have to pay... I didn't get to ask at all because (1) it was hard for me to find the correct customer service to call and (2) when I reached it, I was asked to call again as services were busy. I ended up taking the flight sick because I didn't want to rack up extra charges. Also, I find the seats pressing on to my thighs if my legs are in a relaxed position (meaning not trying to keep my knees together as if I was in a job interview). I've had to put a blanket or pillow between me and the armrests so they wouldn't hurt. Some airplanes have thinner more streamlined armrests and those have made some of my other travels more comfortable."
Pros: "The flight attendants are nice and service is excellent."
Cons: "The planes are old, have no wifi, and poor entertainment. But worst of all the seats SUCK! I had a window seat and there was a metal box in the foot space! A 10 hour flight with no place to put my feet or legs. The seat was cramped and unbearable. I noticed every window seat has this box. This should never be designed for a transatlantic flight. I will NEVER fly them again. The food was pretty nasty too. Rubbery chicken and the omelet was gross at breakfast. The check in process was terrible. Everyone just files in line, no order to boarding people."
Pros: "Enjoyed an upgrade to upper deck of A380-800. Seats were very comfortable and privacy of having single seat was excellent. Entertainment was easy to enjoy. Service as always on Asiana was also excellent."
Pros: "Everyone was so personable. We had 4 adults , 2 boys and a baby girl so it was hard to get everyone situated but with the staff on the plane it was just simplicity. All of our needs were met , wether it was someone wanting an extra blanket or the baby needing food or even helping the 2 boys get situated before and after take off . They apparently love babies because they couldn't get enough of ours and were always wanting to play with her and make her smile (which goes along way) and that helped her not feel so groggy on the plane . They know it's a long flight so they get you comfortable even down to giving you slippers and great tasting food."
Cons: "The only thing I didn't like was the long flight but that's not the staffs fault, it was inevitable if your flying halfway across the world . the plane had 12 inch touch screen tv with music, movies, games , news , kids entertainment and even how to learn Korean so it it was very helpful in keeping you entertained throughout the plane ride ."
Pros: "As expected, the crews' service were good. Comfortable seats and nice meals."
Cons: "On the way back to Singapore, there was no entertainment in each seat. Didn't expect this and never experience from my previous flight with Asiana. There was the main screen in the centre but I can't choose and the lights were on all the way when I tried to sleep. Disappointed that they didn't inform in advance. People expect Asiana as same as SQ which provides full of new equipment such as personal screen on each seat."
Cons: "No vegetarian food."
Pros: "Asiana staff are not trained in medical issues such as what to do when a passenger complains they are feeling weak from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia conditions. It is common for people with low blood sugar to have blood sugar drops while flying. The condition is dangerous if not handled properly but can be remedied very easily by simply increasing a passenger's intake of protein (such as chicken or beef) and carbohydrates, such as rice (but not white bread or deserts, as those cause spikes and drops in blood sugar). Basically, you only need an extra meal. I told a crew member about my condition and said I simply needed a second meal. She gave me a problem about it and at first refused. She understood the English words low blood sugar, but she was obviously not trained in that common issue. I was ready to pass out due to a drop in blood sugar and only when I threatened to file a lawsuit in a U.S. court against Asiana (as I anticipated passing out) did she react. Within a few seconds after I mentioned a potential lawsuit, she got me a second meal of chicken and rice. I ate it and the protein and carbs stabilized my blood sugar for the rest of the flight. It's a problem easily remedied but I had to argue with the flight attendant to grant my very simple but very necessary request. Asiana needs to comply with the norms of global carriers and train its staff to understand such comment conditions as low blood sugar. U.S. and European carrier understand this condition very well, and their crews are trained in how to handle it by simply giving extra food. Asiana needs to comply with modern, global norms."
Cons: "If you have low blood sugar dont take Asiana. Crew not trained in this simple medical issue."
Pros: "Again, Asiana offers very good and efficient service for the money. Overall I would definitely fly them again and recommend them to anyone who asked."
Cons: "My only complaint is that the cabin staff were often not visible for hours at a time. On my flight from LA to Seoul, the crew was constantly in the aisles offering water and juice without being summoned by passengers. There were a few times when I wished that someone would come by with water or juice, but didn't want to press the call button to get them. Lunch options as we neared LAX were both Asian style, and a middle-ground option would have been appreciated. On the outbound flight to Seoul we had breakfast options that included pancakes."
Pros: "Clean bathroom, well maintain during flight unlike some airlines 5 stars for that"
Cons: "Chicken was grilled marked than steam result tuff rubbery. Hostess refused to exchange it with beef saying thete eas no more on the spot, not even asking others waitresses from different raw, while later on when everyone wad sleeping I went to asked for water and there you go. She ead eating the beef from economic class and a dish from first class. I always thought that customers are valuable because we pay their salaries?! Very desapointed from this hotess from the Philli. Who during the who flight treat me like dirt, maybe she hates Americain? Also most of movies are children oriented only a few for mature minds and they are over a year old. First time on Asiana and last time even been a star alliance member what a disappointment!"
Pros: "Crew members were helpful and nice."
Cons: "1.Flight Network said that the transaction was in US dollars. Therefore there shouldn't have been a currency exchange fee from my US bank. However, Flight Network charged Canadian dollars, so my US bank charged me a 3% exchange fee and the Canadian bank charged me another $8 fee resulting in a combined $32 extra to the price.of my ticket. Flight Network was not honest about the currency of the transaction. Kayak should require that Flight Network and any other vendors be honest about the currency of the transaction. 2. The extra 5 hours of layover at Incheon Airport was a total drag. It caused me to miss my connecting flight from LAX to Mexico City, so by the time I got into Mexico City there were no more buses running to Queretaro. I had to book a room in Mexico City at an additional expense and pay for taxi fare that I would not have needed if Asiana Airlines hadn't added 5 extra hours of layover to my trip."
Pros: "From Seoul, the staff were all quick and prompt."
Cons: "JFK Front desk clerk( she seemed to be an indian or Latin Indian) were so rude and she looked to have no idea for her job. Sorry to grade for " Boarding, Mediocore" Nevertheless, the girl made us too confused. our departure to HK thru Seoul, she gave us boarding pass only to Seoul and my husband uses a cane due to leg pain. ( he can not bend his leg properly). I asked her to give a front seat. She simply ignored my request. At least, she should better say yes or no! However, other staffs helped us!"
Pros: "The configuration of two seats on the sides convenient when flying with a partner."
Cons: "Service effecient but lack warmth. Food choice limited, no vegeterian option ."
Pros: "- gentle crews"
Cons: "- old avion especially very small monitor - few snack"
Pros: "Great crew and comfortable flight"
Cons: "Delayed for several hours after boarding because of a technical difficulty with the airplane. This delay caused me to miss an important dinner meeting in Thailand and cost me extra money to arrange transportation from the BKK to my hotel."
Cons: "It's impossible to contact them to arrange infant seats, their HK office phone number rings out and isn't manned and the other country offices keep on redirecting our queries there. They also changed and cancelled our flights 6 times."
Pros: "Seating was comfortable."
Cons: "Different selection of food."
Pros: "The crew were very friendly and accomplished. The in-flight entertainment was great. If the opportunity presents itself, I’ll defini fly Garuda Indonesia Airlines again!"
Pros: "On time, clean aircraft"
Pros: "Everything was good"
Cons: "Baggage claim in Bali very slow"
Pros: "On time smooth flight"
Pros: "Crew always polite"
Cons: "Since I had to cancel the flight due to personal problems at home, it would have been better if you hadn’t reminded me of the missed opportunity by asking me to review said flight. This has caused me emotional stress."
Cons: "Too cold in the aircraft !! So so cold"
Pros: "Checkin process very smooth"
Cons: "Boarding process, and gate assigned is quite far .."
Pros: "Everything! The employees are curteous. The entire flight is inclusive. You are able to pick your seats without any extra expense."
Cons: "There is nothing not to like."
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "Food is low quality. Nothing special."
Pros: "I LOVED the Flight Attendants' uniforms. Smile!"
Cons: "Cabin temperature was very cold"
Pros: "Flight was comfortable enough. Nothing special, but got me safely to my destination. Service was good, plenty of food"
Cons: "Meals were just okay. I flew Cathway last month abd their food was better, plus they gave us hagendaz ice cream which was a major happiness booster."
Pros: "Excellent and plentiful food."
Cons: "Limited storage in business class seat"
Cons: "Indian family running around and flight attendants screaming at them to sit down. Horrible experience"
Pros: "Overall great service and good experience. Very attentive crew and goid food."
Cons: "Although the business class cabin has been quite new, the seats are made for very short people and my headrest sat at my shoulders (I am 5’4”). This made the 5 hour flight very uncomfortable."
Pros: "On time, entertainment on the board, good quality service."
Pros: "new plane list of movies"
Cons: "food quality is not good to and fro flights"
Pros: "Staff greeting"
Cons: "Food, narrow seat, entertainment selection"
Pros: "Garuda have one of the best service and the crew always smiling and helpful. The new seating is very nice and conformable. The food is very nice."
Cons: "The one thing I don't like about Garuda is so many announcements. They want to announce every things that happens. There is a reason why the seatbelt signs are there. You don't have to say what we will have in the menu as we have it. The entertainment system is has average collection and they are not organized. That includes the movies. The music section is terrible, I was not able to recognize any of the artist. It is sad that they don't take their entertainment system seriously. With their service and new fleet, you will expect to have a great entertainment system but sadly it is not."
Pros: "Planes are confortables"
Cons: "Always late ? 3 flights this week with Garuda all 3 be delays. How they get away with this.."
Cons: "Boarding staff don’t have a clue. They are there for the airline not to help the traveler. Problem is they are the only carrier in the area. That being said.... they are better than Lion Air but that is not saying much. No real choice...."
Cons: "Garuda couldn't check my bags all the way to LA. Had to go through customs twice! What a pain!"
Pros: "Crew still manage to provide their excellent services instead of all of the problem related to boarding."
Cons: "There's no dedicated Garuda counter for internet checked-in international passengers at Soekarno Hatta T3; you need to queue together with the other passengers. I've put a formal suggestion before to Garuda several months ago; seems nobody care. Gate information is confusing, initially shown gate number at *domestic* terminal; then changed again twice. In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."
Pros: "Other Airlines that sent extra planes to evacuate their patrons!"
Cons: "Garuda canceling my flight from Bali to Singapore and not rescheduling it for 3 days despite the Airport reopening the next day after a short closure for Volcanic Actvity"
Pros: "Love Fly Ing GA"
Pros: "I loved that I got upgraded to Business. It made an exhausting journey home more relaxing. And the crew were lovely, kind, and helpful!"
Pros: "They sprayed air disinfectant on everyone as required. They had a sky priority lane. Extra space seats had a lot of room."
Cons: "Food was not great. What bothered me the most were the number of people they allowed on board who were incredibly sick. There were a couple of people next to me who should not have been allowed on the flight (including stomach sick from the start of the flight). Very very disturbing."
Pros: "I met with a best friend whom I didn't meet for a decades, and he was I the same GA flight but not a member of GFF. Lounge Team give me a courtesy access so we can have a quite discussion in GA Lounge"
Pros: "We were warmly greeted and quickly checked in ...very efficient. The plane even left a bit early...don't be late!"
Pros: "Food, flight, service, entertainment, free checked bag"
Pros: "Very friendly staff, professional. On-time and efficient."
Cons: "They sprayed insecticide in the plane with little or no warning prior to our arrival in Hong Kong, and I had a bad reaction to it (dizzy for the next several hours). I would recommend providing masks for passengers who desire them and plenty of prior notice to put those masks on."
Pros: "Garuda Indonesia is just a very good airline."
Cons: "The bad things is the luggage handling at smaller airports."
Pros: "Friendly flight attendants with good food. The arrival time was scheduled, no delay."
Pros: "Crew members were friendly and helpful"
Cons: "Knee room was very tight.."
Pros: "Orderly, on time, efficient boarding"
Cons: "The meal"
Pros: "Great service and menu in business class. Best I have experienced."
Pros: "On time boarding"
Pros: "Lacking internet connection, current movies but I slept which is positive because it wasnt a packed flight"
Pros: "Great service and food"
Pros: "The staff, on time departure and everything was friendly."
Cons: "Jet Airways (partner company on flight) waited 5 days before putting my lost bag through customs on arrival in India and made me wait 3 hours, after the 5 days, to receive it. They gave no explanation, no apology, and actually sent an employee from another company to deliver my bag after I had waited that long."
Pros: "That it was all trouble free very simple to book and everyone was very helpful."
Cons: "All good!"
Pros: "Staff were very attentive. In-flight movies great."

Cons: "they didin't send me the ticket same day .. i was so worry ."
Pros: "Everything was amazing"
Cons: "Everthing was great"
Pros: "Late departure but kept informed. Food good."

Pros: "Crew was amazing and diligent !"
Cons: "Food could have been better with some more options available onboard!"
Pros: "The friendliness of the staff."
Cons: "Seats are not exactly comfortable for a long flight"
Pros: "not too bad"
Cons: "not too bad"
Pros: "Friendly staff and very accomodating"
Cons: "Did not enjoy the food choice, tv needed repairs"
Pros: "On time, safe, standard service"
Cons: "Slow and old entertainment system. Bad seats"
Cons: "New menu is not appealing with lesser choice and smaller portions - inflight entertainment very limited choice - constantly disturb with meaninglessness pa announcement"
Pros: "Seat uncomfortable even though there was plenty of leg room"
Pros: "Boarding was swift"
Cons: "Crew was indifferent and cold in their service. Food was mediocre."
Pros: "Service was fantastic. Had a bit of a headache and the air hostess was quick to get me a Panadol. Entertainment system is good. Do check out the outside camera that works when landing gear comes out. Great view. Great idea."
Cons: "Original itinerary was not followed. Plane from manila to hongkong left late and was transferred to a different flight for hongkong to Auckland .Seats not even together. Was put on 2 lay overs instead of just 1 (hongkong to Aussie then Aussie to Auckland. With no compensation at all. Sorry is not enough."
Pros: "Everything was great !"
Cons: "Food was average"
Pros: "Little more leg room!"
Pros: "I am frequent air traveler that logs about 100k miles a year and this is the first time I felt like writing a review about an airline. I traveled with my 4 year old son on this trip. Excellent service, high quality food options and flight amenities. I really enjoyed the food as did my son. My son left his backpack behind on the first leg and the airline staff retreived it and delivered it to the lounge in less than 15 minutes. I was astounded and had almost given up on seeing the bag again, given my experience with other airlines in the past. This is going to be airline of choice for future trips!"
Pros: "Adequate leg room, which is very important in a long haul flight. Punctual."
Cons: "We had lunch and then breakfast, skipping dinner. Considering we were in the place for 14+ hours, dinner instead of either breakfast or lunch would have been good."
Cons: "Gate staff was not patient and friendly. No advanced notification before flight cancellation. Poor communication after flight cancellation. No instructions for remediation for flight cancellation only tell customer to get checked in luggage bag and go home. No initiative to handle the incident. We waited for 2 hours at the counter for explanation and information for re-arrangement for the flight. Really disappointed with this flight."
Pros: "food was awesome. the seats were pretty comfortable. the in-flight crew were always so helpful and smiling. there was quite a collection of movies to choose from which is nice."
Cons: "The ground staff at the departure lounge were most of the time chatting or walking in circles and chatting. Also they were not as organized nor as accomodating than expected. Kinda shows a lesser level of professionalism than the crew in other countries."
Pros: "Crew assistance, comfort and food"
Cons: "Very less choices of movies in entertainment systems. Also entertainment controls could be better"
Pros: "Everything was on time, with no hitches or major inconveniences."
Cons: "I prefer the newer planes which include USB ports for charging mobile devices. This one had a power socket instead, which was usable, but only when the tray table was down, which was mildly annoying. First world problem, really."
Pros: "Staff were friendly and helpful"
Cons: "The food was atrocious and this was business class. The toilet lights were so dimmed all the time you couldn't see what was going on. Last year we flew business class Cathay pacific from Hong Kong to Melbourne and loved it. This year we decided to fly from Melbourne to Dusseldorf and then from Frankfurt to Melbourne with this airline. Won't be doing that again. Why pay business class fares to be disapointed"
Pros: "A free upgrade to premium economy - I think the flight was over booked."
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "Cathay Pacific forgot to send paperwork for departure which resulted in 1 hour delay and then given us furthest possible gate on arrival in HK"
Pros: "I really appreciated that Cathay flew another plane in to pick us up when our original aircraft was mechanically grounded at the previous destination. The crew were very professional."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed due to mechanical failure and didn't arrive from its destination: Taipei. We were not told about the possibility of our flight being cancelled as we arrived at check-in, we were allowed to check our bags first, issued boarding passes and *then* we were told to come back to check in counter in 3.5-4 hours. Our checked luggage had already been taken and with it, clean clothes, toiletries and other items that could have made the waiting more comfortable. After coffee and a snack we decided to check in to the capsule hotel at Narita. Minimum stay was one night at that hour of the day - for stays after 6pm. While I appreciated that Cathay got us out later that evening, the plane we flew was one of the oldest in the fleet: the seats did not recline at all so it was very uncomfortable. It was a late night flight but no one was offered pillows or blankets. (I did receive one upon request). We arrived in Hong Kong in the early hours of the next morning - 3 hours late - after the airport train had finished running so I paid for a taxi home which I normally would not need to do since I already had a train ticket. so my flight experience did cost me some extra money this trip."
Pros: "Unfortunately nothing positive to write"
Cons: "Disappointing service, poor upkeep of planes, not at all punctual (travelled multiple legs with Cathay, not one of them took off on time). Bad airline, getting worse"
Pros: "Comfortable seats, clean toilets, great service, awesome entertainment options, great movie selection with search by keyword"
Pros: "Airline staff so helpful and nice, sets had loads of space, I was seated at the back of the plane when they ran out of meals before our row, I said it's fine I'll just have bread rolls but she got me their staff meals yum, air hostess was so lovely"
Pros: "I do however appreciate that the plane did wait for us"
Cons: "My flight was delayed and although my connecting flight did wait this was only because a large number of other people on that flight where not only on my flight but where coming in from other flights as well. this seems like really poor management and practice"
Cons: "Really uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "GOOD !!!"
Pros: "Attitude and service levels of the flight attendants was the best I have encountered for a while"
Pros: "Excellent services! With mileage credit, seat selection, on time departure, baggage allowance, food, wine entertainment and more, why taking budget airlines again? Truly a wonderful experience for this family trip!"
Cons: "Food was awful. Plenty of options but tasted cheap. Felt like flying on a budget airline"
Pros: "Customer service"
Cons: "The guy in front reclined for the whole 14 hour flight so I didn't have much leg room."
Cons: "The food was simple and not enough for Cathay Pacific standard"
Pros: "Cabin crew always smiling and helping out"
Cons: "Seat can not be reclined, where it makes you slouch, very uncomfortable position. Meal time is rather odd, should be re schedule since we depart on early morning hour."
Cons: "Manila airport traffic"
Pros: "Spacious seating, good food, excellent trip overall!"
Pros: "Food nice, much better than KLM. Typical great Asian service."
Cons: "No information as to why boarding was over 30 minutes late, even though last call was announced!"
Pros: "Sing-Hong Kong seating comfort."
Cons: "Terrible food on Cathay now. All meals were barely edible."
Pros: "Crew Service and Leg space is great. Automatic check-in station is simple and easy to operate, speeds up the queue for checking-in and luggage drop."
Cons: "Seat has no recline option, only movable part is the base of seat, back support recline is not available, thus making it impossible to rest. Food was served cold, CX used to be much better at food handling, cold omelette and soggy bacon is definitely not appetizing even for a hungry morning flight. Entertainment is ok, nice options, but LCD screen is getting old and blurry, rather not strain my eyes to try watch anything on it."
Pros: "The flight was very pleasant and the crew exemplary."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by over 3 hours and I just missed check in for my connecting flight. I was not allowed to board by British Airways. Unfortunately this was a separate ticket and resulted in me having to purchase a new ticket at a very higher cost. While I accept the delay was beyond Cathay's control I would have make the check in on the connecting flight in time if they had provided assistance in transiting through the airport. Unfortunately no help was provided and after I missed the check in and spoke to the Cathay Pacific representative they only advised me I would have to find another flight."
Cons: "Flight delayed in take off twice. Then diverted via Manila. Not ideal."
Cons: "The food was salty."
Pros: "Comfortable flat bed, good food, and very good care by the stewardess (esp Irene?, not sure of the name)"
Cons: "Entertainment. Would prefer more documentaries and more South Asian music."
