Pros: "Crew was friendly, eager to help. Flight arrived on time."
Pros: "Great service!"
Cons: "More comfortable seats and headphone jacks on the end of the arm rest (I kept knocking mine out when I moved in my seat)."
Pros: "Crew was amazing and very comfortable seat"
Cons: "Food can be better and Entertainment was poor There should be more choices available. WiFi was spotty only 150 MB was available after paying. It should be free in business class like other airlines"
Pros: "Polite, attentive, and amiable staff show they take pride in their top notch service. Entertainment options (movies, documentaries, travel guides) on screen are also a huge plus."
Cons: "Flying with ANA is awesome, the stewardesses are very nice!"
Cons: "Seats are way too small, incredibly uncomfortable to the point of painful ness. More luggage space"
Pros: "Check in is a breeze, the staff even helped me to load my luggages to the counter. Boarding is prompt and orderly. The food is excellent , love the kabosu, there is snack available at the back in case you are still hungry. Entertainment is good choices, headphone is nice."
Cons: "None so far, been travelling with ANA 8-10 times a year for more than 5 years"
Cons: "The food wasn’t very good and the quantity of the snack meager. Worse, the crew refused to give a second roll to our 12 year old even which means that either they only have one for each passenger (and every passenger had theirs) or the crew are parsimonious."
Pros: "The staff on ANA are super friendly. The legroom on their big planes--even in economy--was excellent."
Cons: "The food was okay but not great."
Pros: "The plane came from LAX was 45 minutes late...but not a problem.....still ok"
Cons: "Great that they served two warm meals without extra charge? But the meals were quite bland, with little imagination."
Pros: "Well coordinated loading of plane. Good food service. Well informed.."
Cons: "Nothing.."
Cons: "It was the shortest flight of my itinerary. My last flight home. We sat on the plane for nearly 45 minutes before take off and it was late getting home. Totally ridiculous. Every flight in and out of Eugene is ridiculous like that"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "I can’t be more demanding. Everything on the flight were good."
Pros: "The seat was spacious and the crew was very nice!"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "I was disappointed that Air New Zealand charges US15 to reserve specific seats. For our party of 3, that would be US90 RT so I didn't do it. But at the gate I asked for window seats and the attendant gave us excellent seats at the front of the plane."
Cons: "No issues that caused us any problems."
Pros: "Crew did a very good job"
Cons: "Trip was the roughest I have ever been on for virtually the entire time. Could not sleep. Business class cabin was also had the most noise of any front of airplane experience I have had."
Cons: "One of the flight personnel I felt was very rude"
Cons: "Constant threats about weight of carryons & then didn’t check or weigh anything"
Pros: "Baggage made it all the way to Queenstown from Perth"
Cons: "Check -in staff said that there were no seats available in emergency exit rows so put us in the row in front. We couldn't recline and thete were several seats empty in the emergency exit row behind us."
Pros: "Entertainment and food and drinks. The recline in the chair allowed for sleeping."
Cons: "I wish there was more seat room especially when the seat in front reclines."
Pros: "Free checked Bags"
Cons: "If we could have a free select seat after booking."
Pros: "Aircraft and crew service was excellent. Seats were not too comfortable"
Cons: "More leg room would have been nice for 14+ hours flight"
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings."
Pros: "Crew was fantastic! Great seats! Little extras like toothbrush are wonderful!"
Cons: "Can't think of anything"
Pros: "The service was friendly and attentive, the food was good, the legroom was amazingly good for coach, and there were lots of good movies available. Really great all the way around."
Cons: "For such a long trans-oceanic flight, I am used to the cabin crew coming around with drinks on a regular basis to keep people hydrated. That didn't really happen on this flight; I had to get up twice and walk to where the crew were hanging out (in a closed-curtain area) and ask for water."
Pros: "We were treated very rudely."
Cons: "We were treated very rudely. We should’ve taken another airline"
Pros: "Crew was nice and friendly. Economy class seats are never super comfy, however, they were just fine."
Pros: "The crew was amazing , the seats comfortable abd the food and refreshments very good."
Cons: "It would be better if there was a media screen between Sydney and Perth."
Pros: "Not much to like other than access to Cathay pacific lounge at SFO Over booked about 50 seats fights in the aisles security on board blamed on a computer glitch delayed over 2 1/2 hours Business class old uncomfortable seats. After flying Singapore business last week I was appalled at what quantas had for the same price I’m dreading my flight back home on quantas I won’t fly them again"
Pros: "Very little. The staff is polite but they have no information and really are not empowered they solve any problems"
Cons: "The flight was delayed over an hour taking off due to final checks and luggage. In sprite of the pilot announcing smooth sky’s we had terbulence and seatbelts on for 60% of the flight. And when we arrived the luggage of at least 15 passengers, including mine, did not arrive. After waiting 45 minutes at the carousel for the luggage and another 35 at the priority desk I was informed that the luggage was not coming on the next flight but the next day. They apparently had run out of overnight bags so I had to buy a toothbrush and a t-shirt at the airport to sleep in. Now normally I would pack a carry on with the basic essentials for such a situation but this was a direct fight with 3 follow flights to the same destination..... I have no idea who votes for Air Canada or how many votes it takes to win the awards they keep claiming but there is something wrong..."
Pros: "Staff were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Movie selection was limited although I found one in the lot that I thoroughly enjoyed. As always with Air Canada, you only get the most basic snacks and everything else is extra."
Cons: "My dad didn’t get on the plane because the previous one was late"
Pros: "There was no entertainment !"
Cons: "Some of the crew were rude no food or drinks No entertainment of any sort for long trips"
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Just before boarding it was announced that there would be no hot water on board and passengers should try to run and get a coffee at the airport. 5 hour flight ahead. I didn't have free hand to carry a coffee on board. So no coffee or tea. Also no water in the bathrooms! All meals for purchase were not loaded so no veggies or any gluten free options for purchase. Wanted to buy Duty Free and was told that it wasn't loaded either for some reason. The cabin was a bit cool and after 4 hours of cold drinks I was a bit chilled and asked for a blanket only to discover that they only sell them to the passengers. Then I got the giggles as they thanked us for choosing Air Canada voted number one airline in North America. Hilarious!!!"
Pros: "Ease of checking in, timely announcements and updates. Smooth ride"
Pros: "Great service from the staff and crew. Comfortable flight in every conceivable aspect!"
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "Flight was delayed multiple times. Flight was scheduled to take off at 1210 pm, delayed to 1510, delayed again to 1700 then delayed to 2110 and hen finally boarded at 2230 but the flight did not take off for an additional 2 hours making the total flight delay 12+ hours. My mom did not speak English and the staff at the boarding gate would not provide her a translator nor where they willing to talk to us over the phone to assist her. I understand that delays happen but the lack of assistance and multiple delays was alarming (with clear weather). Air Canada device over the phone was unprofessional as well when I called to discuss the lack of assistance we received."
Pros: "The pilots were professional, got us there on time and did a wonderful smooth landing."
Cons: "The flights attendants uniforms were wrinkled and old, tired and worn out looking, their behaviour was the same. They were pretty much tired and disinterested in their job. Time to hire new blood, get new, fresh looking uniforms, and there definitely should be a weight limit, I have seen flight attendants who have to turn sideways to get down the aisle comfortably, what on earth would they do in an emergency. Yes size does matter. Look to JAP airlines for style and dignity in the job. Having said that I love Air Canada and fly it as often as possible home."
Cons: "I couldn't board the plane due to new documentation requirements for travelers transiting in Canada. I understand the rules of the internet fare (no returns, exchanges or cancellations) but the customer service was awful. They didn't offer me any other alternative but to loose full value of the ticket ($1700). Nobody (kayak, vayama, air canada or brussel airlines) gave me any kind of information about those new requirements and I ended up cancelling the whole trip as I couldn't find any other flight to get to Europe. Really upsetting...."
Pros: "The UA Private Screening feature was unavailable on tipis overnight flight bah."
Cons: "Getting to San Francisco flight was canceled, make a line for 3.30 hours to let us know what they were going to do with us, they give the place to go at 3 a.m with not directions were to take a bus , later someone come and told us the bus stop running at that time and I have to go upstairs to take a taxi, I was alone and not use to be alone at that time never in my live I had to pretend I was afraid. Of course the hotel only take you until 12pm so I spend so many hours in the airport waiting for re ticketing they told us to be at 6pm we wait and I got my ticket leaving at 9.45pm but the crew come one hour and half late. From Panama to Lima flight was late . I had a conference very important to be Saturday morning, I lost my investment and relationships with the company I was going to start a business there excuse was they couldn’t relay on my punctuality, honestly. I got there more than a day and half LATE. If you ask me how was my trip I will tell you horrible and I can’t recommend anybody, this company doesn’t have any personality at all"
Cons: "My 10:00 p.m. flight was canceled so I had to spend the night trying to sleep in the airport. Have you ever had to do that? Not fun."
Cons: "12+ hour flight with no working outlet to charge phone or headphones. When I asked to move to a seat that had a charger, they basically said no - even though there were about 20 open seats in the next "economy class" level. So for 6 hours, after my phone died, I basically stared at the wall and then had no phone to assist with my directions or hotel reservations once we landed. Food was not good. Plane was old, and had a few random screens playing a movie that kept freezing and had to be restarted."
Cons: "Flight was canceled. Rescheduled on next morning on economy class even though the original tickets booked for business class. No hotel, food voucher, etc. were provided blamed on the weather condition even though the bad weather was 1-2 days ago, and on the day of departure it was air traffic control problems which was stated in cancellation email."
Pros: "American Airlines"
Cons: "Dear United Airlines, It is my dearest wish that reading the following inflicts upon you at least a fraction of the stress, frustration, and pain that I have been through traveling with you today- you absolutely abhorrent excuse for a company. Due to your incomparable incompetence my arrival was inexcusably delayed almost 12 hours. An account follows: For a company who's customer service is already hanging by a very thin thread you would think that you would be doing everything to make your flights as smooth and pleasant as possible. Shall I elaborate on the utter frustration and boredom of being trapped in the San Francisco airport facing not one, not two, but what became SEVEN delays? Delays that have been caused by runway maintenance- a condition which someone in your company would have known about well before I got to the airport and that you simply did not plan for. A almost FOUR HOUR delay that could have been easily avoided if you just had things together and scheduled your planes around the affected runways. And let's not forget the additional delay caused when your flight crew simply couldn't be found to come to the gate so we could start getting underway! But no, I think the absolutely outstanding quintessential experience that defines flying with United airlines is this: After the above delays myself and my fellow passengers were finally able to board our flight- only to be told by the captain that there would be another brief delay while we waited for ANOTHER crew member because one of the pilots was near the end of their union hours. We sit on the plane stuck for another 20 minuets or so, only to be told they can't find anyone, and can we please get off the plane because our WHOLE FLIGHT is CANCELED. The kiosk I get to try and fix this is uncrowded but understaffed and run by clearly undertrained employees. The ones I'm dealing with keep having to ask each other for help, and give advice/plans that contradict one another. One of theme even takes what seems to be a personal call while 'assisting' me. When I finally get ahold of a supervisor I have to plead to get the next flight out of this godforsaken place, which I am reluctantly given as its with one of your competitors. Talking with other customer and airport staff is sounds very much like you are delaying/canceling flights for your own personal gain or at least not correcting flights around the situation to squeeze more money from the situation) it becomes quite clear that you are not only still incapable of accepting any real measure of accountability but entirely disgracefully unorganized. Almost 12 hours later I do finally make it home- thanks to American Airlines. Only to have the utter displeasure of one last interaction with United wherein when I pick up my bag your employees insist that I was delayed due to the weather and it wasn't your fault. It was entirely absolutely your fault."
Pros: "Noting"
Cons: "Bought the ticket from Lufthansa but the operator was United. Although it was known by the operator that there is a delay already at check-in, passengers where notified only at the gate. Delay was so long that most passengers would miss their connection. After standing an hour in line at the gate to book alternate connection, counter was closed and we were directed to another 10 min walk away. After another 1.5 hours without reaching a representative we had to rush back to the gate to board. In Frankfurt had to stay in standby for the next alternative flight. Luggage was delayed in the US for 2 more days."
Pros: "The view and legroom was nice."
Cons: "I collect disability each month so I am on a very tight budget. The Spanish speaking woman that pushed my wheelchair told me that I can bring my water bottles full of water through the metal detectors. I asked if she could take me somewhere to pour them out and refill them on the other side. They threw them away at the metal detector. So I had to buy a new bottle for my medicine that I have to take. You would think she would have got it by me carrying these bottles around but nope. She actually said to me that I can give her gratuity now if I wanted. I gave her $1. She then replied in a sarcastic voice " Thankyou you are soooo generous. I don't like feeling obligated to tip somebody because I am disabled and have a bullet in my head."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "United told us our plane was delayed, then they cancelled it. No one notified us, we just sat there and found out for ourselves."
Pros: "The flight attendant was nice"
Cons: "Since it was an international flight we went to the international terminal and we were send back to domestic. This caused us to be delayed, though we had arrived early. They ended up giving me two boarding passes for myself and shorting me one for my son. More delays at the gate. The Air Canada confirmation number is different than the United and they have no record of it. Almost missed fhe plane until I found an email with the Air Canada number. Not good coordination. Air Canada and United need to do a better job of coordinating these reservations. And the 8 dollar snack was dreadful."
