Cons: "The business class seats were smaller than I thought and not so comfortable as the 777. The seats are hard and ungiving and when you sleep on them you really feel it. Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

Cons: "I think this was just a personal issue for me only, but I would say the atmosphere. I felt the plane was humid and often at times, I found it hard to breathe. On one occasion, a flight attendant attempted to take my food away without asking if I was finished or not. I was annoyed by their lack of manners. I also didn't like having two blankets. There was no room under the seat in front of me, to put it anywhere. It significantly reduced my comfort. The passengers sitting next to me also had no respect when they asked me to step aside and was rude in general. It made my mood worse throughout the flight but I hanged in there. It was okay."

I was lucky to have an empty middle seat (which merits the "good" rating over the "okay"), but even with that, maneuvering was difficult (trying to get stuff from the carry on stored beneath the seat, etc.). Pros: "The flight attendants were very helpful. One of our travelers got sick on the plane and, unfortunately, made a mess in one of the toilets. Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."

Other airlines will give you great snacks, tooth brush, night mask, etc but not Air New Zealand they are almost like a budget airline. Not sure how they are rated the best airline."

My flight was interrupted by a medical emergency. We had to backtrack to the nearest airport, which added several hours to the flight. This meant a very long day for both passengers and crew. Pros: "I really like the Qatar flight from Auckland to Manchester. But beware now that the Akl leg leaves 1 hour later the transit in Doha is officially 1.15hr. But since the first leg is always getting in and you have to bus to the terminal, transit time is about 30 mins. Although they are efficient and i made it this time, i wouldn't want to do this with kids."

Pros: "The flight was SO OLD and uncomfortable which is absolutely ridiculous for a 16 hour flight. My screen did not work the entire time despite asking flight attendants to fix the issue. The flight attendant would not attend to me despite me pressing the button and twice skipped me while giving out meals. I had to call them back and ask for it. The bathrooms were SO dirty and yet no flight attendant took out the trash or cleaned it even though we are in the midst of a pandemic. We were also not given hygiene kits to keep ourselves safe. DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE."

Such a rude ignorant person. The amount of luggage including baby stroller I traveled from Los Angeles to Nadi. Nadi to Sydney was perfectly fine. When I checkin from Sydney to los angles, the Fiji manager said you have to pay for stroller. I said I came all the way from Los Angeles to Sydney like that and I even showed the tags too, Christopher said Sydney has different policy. I left the stroller to him and Saud to him keep it for your kids and came back home without baby stroller."

They stepped up and helped me with my other kids as my husband was out looking for water to make a bottle for him. Awesome awesome service! The crew was very nice and helpful when we were all sleeping. Did not bother us once and they let us sleep. Unfortunately I did not try their food service but my husband said it was delicious. The only thing was that they only offered a couple of movies via some small screen at the ceiling of plane making it hard for my 5 yo daughter to watch anything ultimately relying on their tablets which dies early. Overall, from check in to touch down, it was a very pleasant flight! Oh! And the blankets were so soft!!"

The ,late flight into Sydney cause us to miss our flight into Brisbane (our ticketed destination city). As we de-planed on the Jetway was a woman holding a sign with 12 - 114 names on it, we were one. She told us to go the the transfer desk and they would help us. We had never been in Sydney, could not find a transfer desk (there was none) found the ticketing counter - nobody there, found the airline office - nobody there, went back to the ticket counter nobody still there, asked a competing airline, they directed us to an air travel management office, where we found Fiji Air personnel. They were surprised we were not told where to go. they tracked down the office manager. We finally met with him at 1:40 PM, he told us our flight was in the domestic terminal and scheduled to leave at 2:00 PM. There was no way we could make it to the plane on time. He was rather rude to us and asked us how we thought we were getting to Brisbane, We responded with "I don't know as we've never been here before". Having never been there. we did not know there was an international and a domestic terminal at the Sydney airport. He told us who we were to fly out on and he was going to call over to the other airline and straighten it out. We went to the domestic terminal tried to check in for our flight, but we could not. That airline called Fiji Air to find out why, after half an hour they were told Fiji Air would not honor our flight as we were noted as "no Shows"/. We had to book another flight to Brisbane. The flights were great, we have had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with the ground personnel,"

Pros: "Previously took 4 other Air NZ flights on this trip and loved them - great entertainment, very pleasant and helpful crew. The long flight from Fiji back to the US was partnered with Air Fiji and it was just a bit above average compared to our typical experience with Air NZ. The boarding experience was really good and much more organized than most airlines, which was nice. Plenty of bathrooms available, they came around with water frequently, which is a must on these long flghts, and every seat had their own screen for entertainment, which is very nice."
Cons: "Seats were not very comfortable, not much leg room especially for such a long red eye. Movie and TV selection was limited compared to typical Air NZ flights. Half the crew was somewhat unpleasant and overlooked passengers trying to give them trash and even charitable contributions when they were going around collecting specifically those things. (The other half of the crew was the more typically amazing, customer oriented attitude.) Not sure if Air Fiji just over works its crew or what, but it was not as pleasant. The food was also back to typical just ok airplane food, not normal for Air NZ which has great food and lots of it. We also were not able to pick our seats for this flight, which was not ideal for comfort or location."

Plus they make you remove your blanket for take off and landing, which I've never had to do with other companies. It went from shivering to teeth chattering. I couldn't understand why they served us a hot meal when we got on the plane. Anyone boarding at 11:30 pm should have already eaten, at that point you just want to sleep, not wait another two hours for food to be served and the trays cleaned up."
