Cons: "The place where we at, the aircon/ fan is not working, my husband and I tried but still not working, uncomfortable feeling for a long trip , prior to this we had a long walk to find our gate number because it's in the new building. Our plane delayed so we arrived late at Tokyo causing to missed our plane connection then the crew helped us( very accommodating) for our transfer from Narita international airport to Haneda International airport with Limo bus, 1 & 1/2 hour ride with our luggages and waited for 8 hrs to be on board in a different airline."
Pros: "Staff were very helpful and very foamy and comfortable seat"
Cons: "No boarding zone number called in economy"
Cons: "The business lounge in honolulu"
Cons: "It was too hot in the plane. The plane lacked individual cooling control. We mentioned how warm it was to the flight attendant. It did cool down momentarily, but remained uncomfortably hot the remainder of the flight."
Pros: "Prepackaged sandwiches were so so. Crew were friendly and helpful. Leg room was pretty good. Bathroom had a lot of amenities."
Cons: "The seats are kind of flat."
Pros: "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Cons: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."
Pros: "Nice short flight. Houston is easy to navigate. Staff were friendly."
Cons: "They didnt want to board my twins and I early so we blocked the aisle as i got them sorted. I had to sit over the aisle from my children as it was a 2 2 seating but the staff didnt seem to pursue where their mother was even though i was 1 row back. They didn't need me but i thought they should have at least enquired as to where the parent was of 2 11 yr olds. They were also curt trying to rush us off the flight as my daughter was trying to locate a lost item as we arrived. She has limited sight and we need time to get off and to find things.... given she has lost an iPad, and very expensive reading glasses and other things on the trips that span 24 - 36 hrs."
Pros: "Food was quite good"
Cons: "the plane was Hot! So hot we couldn't use the blankets. The staff in Tokyo did not want to let me and my twin 11 yr olds board early. We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. And that is without consideration for the fact that my daughter has limited sight so needs my help and it takes time. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."
Cons: "More of an movie selection. Maybe up date movie ever 2-3 weeks as they become available for the company"
Pros: "Crews' performance was good."
Cons: "Full capacity ! Because of CODE SHARING ? = One Airplane for 2-Airline's Customers."
Pros: "Food and entertainment is great."
Cons: "The plane was a bit old, no bidet in the bathroom (the newer planes has it)"
Pros: "The plane was very clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. Foodoffering was very good."
Pros: "Love everthing."
Pros: "Excellent plane, accessories. Friendly staff as you expect from ANA. Very comfortable trip."
Pros: "Most comfortable economy flight I've ever taken, good legroom, excellent customer service, tasty food, best toilets!"
Cons: "Very hard landing."
Cons: "Nippon kept the planes uncomfortably warm. Also, we were not in an exit row, but our seats still didn't recline."
Cons: "Plane was hot and a lot of food but it wasn't very good."
Pros: "Most all."
Cons: "Old business class configuration. Today, expectations are for lie-flat chairs, especially for longer flights leaving at very early hours."
Pros: "I've flown to Asia many, many times and NH is the best of all the carriers I've used."
Pros: "Everything but the food menu. But it's okay. I usually order Hindu meal."
Cons: "Nothing except food menu. The standard menu does not change very much. It's always very similar."
Cons: "Not ok"
Pros: "The service, the plane and even the food were all top notch."
Pros: "It was clean and nice"
Pros: "Attentive crew"
Cons: "Landing was rough and bumpy"
Pros: "food , service"
Pros: "Staff was nice and attentive"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats. Don't recline. Could use more film choices."
Pros: "All good"
Pros: "Nothing really major to complain about but nothing that went the extra mile..."
Cons: "The food was sub par.... And the service was very minimal. I felt that there were too few flight attendants for the large capacity of the Triple 7."
Pros: "The food was great. Very responsive flight crew."
Pros: "Crew were friendly & accomodating... More room space on seats & in between seats...I will definitely fly with ANA again."
Pros: "I liked the friendliness of the staff. The overall service was very nice!!"
Cons: "The seats didn't recline at all. Normally I wouldn't care but it was a 12 1/2 hour trip. There wasn't a lot of good, recent movie releases. On other airlines there was more to choose from that were more recent releases. The food wasn't very good. It had all fish choices or beef tongue. I understand having an Asian meal, but maybe should be a more popular meal with different choices than a more eclectic menu. I noticed even the child's meal was not very kid friendly."
Pros: "Smooth flight with great service"
