The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."

Cons: "They are not considerate at all . It was a pain till they find Me another flight. The flight won’t take off till the next day And the lay over in Los Angeles is 7hrs . It’s a 2 days flight. They didn’t even try to take the time to find me a sooner flight because there were other upset customers waiting. So disappointed on how poor the help desk at Turkish airline."

Cons: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."

Pros: "The comfort of the seats, entertainment, & food were great as always. The only Turkish Airlines flight I had during this trip that was not delayed, however needed to be due to the previous flight. The crew did hold the flight for all of us from the delayed flight from Athens."
Cons: "An elderly woman was booked in a window seat and she insisted she take my aisle seat without any additional available aisle seats. However, this would be better handled when she requested for assistance during her booking process. The crew should've anticipate her needs and booked an aisle seat, or even be the ones to ask me or another passenger if I would be willing to trade. I was placed on the spot and no courtesy was shown to me. My legs were completely swollen and in pain because I wasn't able to stand periodically. I too booked my flight early and requested my seats appropriately for my health needs."

Pros: "I got extremely sick on the flight from Istanbul to San Francisco. I now know I caught a stomach bug which hit me on the flights from Cape Town to Istanbul and then even worse from Istanbul to San Francisco. The flight from Istanbul was delayed by two hours due to customs delay for a passenger, as such there was a lot of recycled air. Take that and fact I'm pregnant and by time i started the 13 hour journey already felt sick. I started throwing up immediately and got sick 12 more times. the flight attendants brought me crackers, water and a cold towel and ice. My husband asked if he could pay to put me in business class but was not in airline policy. but i think given how sick and pregnant i was the flight attendant went to ask the captain if there was anything they could do to assist. they ended up moving me to business class to lie down and let me stay there for 3 hours. I got sick upon moving back but getting that rest really helped me. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and am so thankful to the two flight attendants who assisted: 1) Zumrat Bolukbas 2) Hatice (Cabin Chief) These women are amazing!"

Cons: "I don't like the fact that I'm stuck in a hotel in turkey without an inkling of when my flight will take off or if it will even take off. I was sent from desk to desk and everyone I spoke with said the same thing, "I don't know" , To every singlee question I had. I slept In the airport like a homeless person just to be shuttled around turkey afterwards in search of a hotel, and I say search because the shuttle that was provided went to 2 different hotels before we got to the one I'm in now. I'm disgusted, and afraid I won't even get a flight out of here."
Pros: "Turkish Air has some of the best flight attendants in the business. The food is essentially gourmet (hot wrap, in this case), and the pilots are highly skilled."
Cons: "I tend to need the climate control to be on the cooler side, and 777's seem to run hot. Since there are no air vents, the warmth can be overwhelming. Also, the comments about leg-room, ... correct. I'm 6' 3" and 'uncomfortable' sums it up pretty well. For 10½ hours, being crammed into that small a space can be quite daunting."

Cons: "The crew when boarding the plane in Istanbul were downright RUDE. Not just rude, they were unhelpful, unwilling to listen, and were actually offensive. It was quite bad. The boarding process was also terrible. The boarding area was stifling hot, crowded, and disorganized. There was no announcement telling us when it was delayed, there was no information about where to line up, and people were chaotically cramming in everywhere. They could have done a much better job of that."
